GladOS and the Combine AI

Just my random shower thought moment.

What do you think would happen if someone found GladOS and were successful to then upload it into OCIN? In my opinion the whole combine infrastructure would just cease to exist alongside any type of species GladOS wouldn't like, including humanity as there is likely a species far more intelligent than us for GladOS to be test subjects.

Of course there's also a possibility the combine AI could win over and find aperature, then destroy humanity as all it really cares about is the funny portal gun.

Or perhaps a mix of the two? What are your thoughts on it?​
 
hot take: GladOS and the Overwatch AI are the same.

1. Portal already establishes the existance of an infinite amount of timelines.
2. HL2's timeline, is possibly based around the fact that the Combine found the underground facility, thus leading me to the following points.

My arguments:

- The elite Combine soldiers look eerily similar to the turrets that you see in Portal.
- The Overwatch AI and GladOS share the same voice actor. Nothing concrete, but it's certainly a hint.

If they found Aperture they would have the portal stuff…silly…
 
Speaking from what the dev team have said, between the end of Portal 1 (which is right as the 7 hour war kicks off, Glad0s references it directly) and Portal 2 (A few thousand years later) the Combine never actually managed to breach the Apeture Facility with any success, except once where they briefly got in and it absolutely didn't end well.

So imo they probably realised it was better to try and pin down the Borealis to the same effect.
 
The existence of portal 2 indicates that the combine had completely lost against humanity as it reveals growth and normal plant-life; if the combine successfully sucked all the resources from earth up I don't think this would've happened. If the combine truly did win against humanity the world would have been destroyed entirely or would have been so polluted to the point of earth turning into something more like venus with the pollution.

I believe it's heavily implied.

GladOS was the only thing preventing the combine soldiers from entering the faciltiy.
The facility is also known to stretch out for hundreds of miles and be at least tens of miles deep.
There is no doubt some combine forces or just xen mistakenly arrived at Aperature and were swiftly dispatched by GladOS during portal 1.

Combine were pretty good at finding things, the only reason why all rebel hideouts in the canals were immediately wiped was only because gordon arrived. The combine was being tolerant of them until their research of local teleportation was complete; we can see a replicated version of this in nova prospekt. If Gordon never arrived those stations in the canal zones they would still be up just UNTIL the research was done.

I have no doubts the combine knew the location of Aperature science but probably after losing way too many units it merely gave up and tried to locate remmenants of it like the Borealis which wasn't protected by an opponentary AI. AI vs AI never goes well if it's up against an AI that has been trained in its location of origin, not to mention absolute FULL control of everything in the location, for many years compared to a relatively new one with like under a decade of experience on earth with no control of the locations infrastructure whatsoever.

I mean true but AFAIK it’s never been 100% stated that they got in AFAIK, but I’m just being pedantic

Sounds like the making for a really good plotline in a short stories series where GLADOS becomes skynet
