OSCILLATIONS OF DARKNESS - A Coterminous Reimagining

Narrative viability/believability aside, I'll just say this In terms of an all-powerful, highly oppressive, human exterminating, Alien Empire The Combine is just a cooler variant of the Nihilanth. The original version of this event was pretty copy/paste of the Combine as well (I think), so I...

OSCILLATIONS OF DARKNESS - A Coterminous Reimagining

This operates on the assumption humanity is really weak or fragile which really isn't the case. On phone, so no long response yet, but while it would be a tough fight it's doubtless xens forces would not be able to take over the planet. Or at the very, very least would take years and years to...

OSCILLATIONS OF DARKNESS - A Coterminous Reimagining

Very simple things to point out, but this seems a bit too similar to the Combine. While the Combine and Nihilanth ultimately were after similar things, they key difference between them is one is violently desperate and the other is completely indifferent. Nihilanth wouldn't be basking in...

A Half Life Story - The Seven Hours War

Its not. Its the core of Half Life itself. The entire series is based around the fact the Combine are an eldritch horror beyond any conventional means of resistance. Even Half Life 1 is a direct result of this fact, with a few references to boot towards it. While fighting would have continued...

A Half Life Story - The Seven Hours War

I will say that SHW stuff tends to go in with a massive disadvantage, with that being that there is no possible way for a Gmod event to even come close to really highlighting what that must have been like. As such, probably best keeping the contents of the event more second-hand, never putting...

Wardens Lament [Prelude to Narrative Arc]

Wardens Lament This short story serves as an optional bit of reading for those interested in getting a more in-depth look at some characters behind the lore of Willard Networks. While also providing a bit of insight for what is to come in the weeks following, and the motivations behind it...

Official V3 Lore Feedback/Questions [Feel free to post here]

Its more IC these days but for a longer period of the past it was exclusively either lore based involvement or involvement derived from a highly advantaged starting position. Regardless, server activity is beyond the topic. The issue with Clover was never that they had access to the Q menu, it...

Official V3 Lore Feedback/Questions [Feel free to post here]

Teleportation has been mentioned as the one explicit thing the Combine outright rely on humans for. Something that absolutely need humans to replicate for them. Thats one thing though, one thing that isn't within the realm of bio-mechanical augmentation which they are naturally far better at...

Official V3 Lore Feedback/Questions [Feel free to post here]

The idea that OTA are derived from human hands is unimaginably mid. All of the talk of being absorbed into the Combines war machine, having your humanity excised and replaced with the whims of a far distant and completely removed alien entity essentially flies out the window. Cause it isn't even...

Official V3 Lore Feedback/Questions [Feel free to post here]

This is still too much honestly. Bio-mechanical melding and manipulation is the like the Combines bread and butter - any tech they can feasibly make from such a means they seem to. Them requiring anything from KROT or CPRD in this field is indulgent at best and downright silly at worst.

    The Wardens

Wardens Writer: @RedHotGinger The Wardens, once the greatest underground power of City 24, are now a ragtag group of anti-citizens who lurk the depths of lost territory. Within most circles, they are considered little more than misguided freebooters with no greater purpose than survival...

Denied Donavin Jones - Event Concept #10 - 'Colonization'

We've already done this, pretty much down to the letter. Conterminous is what it was called.

Who should be City 51 CA? (Official Vote.)

Wouldn't be a Willard affair without an unhealthy dose of unnecessary bitterness and spite.
