Yes, simply slay the guy touting high end gear and who likely has a bunch of people who would immediately kill you afterwards. You're trying to simplify a problem that isn't really that simple.

While the new rules allow for more dynamic combat and practical ambushes, it also just encourages DM-like gameplay, and also inflated egos where everyone has to walk on eggshells around you or risk getting gunned down. And while that is an inherently IC issue, not exactly fun when someone rounds...
