Combat without RP

Don't do things that give people valid reasons to kill you
While the new rules allow for more dynamic combat and practical ambushes, it also just encourages DM-like gameplay, and also inflated egos where everyone has to walk on eggshells around you or risk getting gunned down. And while that is an inherently IC issue, not exactly fun when someone rounds the corner and shoots you. It doesn't create RP, it just ends characters.
It'd be best if a reactionary /me was allowed before combat started in S2K, while it wouldn't be much it'd at least be something.

Simply slay the adversary.
Yes, simply slay the guy touting high end gear and who likely has a bunch of people who would immediately kill you afterwards. You're trying to simplify a problem that isn't really that simple.

This is a complaint about PK policy, not the combat system.

Pretty sure you were s2k'd as Stacy crowley. Does that have anything to do with your take?

Nice try on the 'gotcha', but my case isnt related as I was afk at the time, so I was caught lacking and had already dealt with it. And even so that wouldn't even somehow be diminishing to my argument, so I'm not sure why you're trying to cherrypick.

I'd still like to know the reasoning behind why he killed you.

And I agree with changing the rule to mandate a reactionary /me. It is utterly unfair for someone to, perhaps out of the blue, /me and start gunning you down. You can't even read their /me fast enough to understand what the heck is happening. Allow reactions please.

Well. It wasn't supposed to be a gotcha. More like a possible reason why you'd be biased on this.
