If there is one thing I have learnt from these past years.
It is that violence is what strives us forth. It is our biological clock.
Humanity spent most of its entirety upon suppressing our true nature.
Blood feuds, ancient and modern requires decisive action, else you will be wiped out.
Take pride in that Dev. God made us in his perfect image, for it is in our nature to resist.

Samantha Kirsten Marie Wilde — “W,” “Wildcard,” “Chica,” sometimes “Johnny Rebel” — is/was a mid-thirties Texan turned hardened resistance leader whose life tracks the arc from conscripted soldier to iconic (and polarizing) insurgent. Born in Dallas in 1984 and conscripted as Conscriptee #77834, she served long stretches with motorized brigades and the Militant Arm Arteria across theaters from Hong Kong outskirts to Northern India during the First Culling and its aftermath. Her official records praise bravery and wounds; occupation files later mark her as “malignancy confirmed” and tag her variously as terrorist, malignant, freedom fighter, and anti-civil.
Wilde’s transformation into a Resistance commander is rooted in trauma, betrayal, and survival. A former Army National Guard reservist and NCO who later served as a conscript in the Militant Arm Arteria of the Overwatch Forces, she carries complex PTSD, survivor’s guilt, and an adrenaline dependence sharpened by sustained combat and the presence of a malfunctioning Combine biochip gained after captivity. The implant both empowers and destabilizes her—granting adaptive survival instincts while warping cognition and leaving gaps in official mental-health assessments. Founder of a prominent underground Resistance Cell known as 'Leukocytes' to some and 'The Front' to others; her movement shielding the fugitives of the Regime, harassing and fighting a brutal Rattenkrieg against the Occupants.
As a leader she was/is magnetic and volatile. Testimonials and last words from comrades portray someone who could inspire both fierce loyalty and devastating loss: generous to allies, manipulative when necessary, witty and femme-fatal in public, but suppressedly empathetic in private. She organizes through improvisation as much as strategy — impulsive yet shrewd, a survivalist who uses people and networks as instruments of larger goals. Her style blends guerrilla bravado and cold operational acuity: a commander who will trade her life to save a comrade and, just as readily, order strikes that consign towns to hell if the calculus demands it.
Her final moments, as rendered in the documents and testimonies, are cinematic and tragic: surrounded by gunfire, she reflects on love, guilt, and the weight of decisions — apologizing to named comrades (Alys, Arthur, Scoutter, Grey) and pleading forgiveness before death. Those last lines humanize her: she feared death for a time, then welcomed it as release; she died convinced she had been “already dead” long before the bullet. The tableau becomes part of her legend — martyr to some, example of justified savagery to the Occupant.
Legacy is contested and weaponized. Official Regime archives label her an Anti-Citizen, slated for liquidation; propaganda calls her a malignant anti-social element or terrorist. Resistance communiqués and comrades’ testimonies cast her as a Martyr to the Cause; someone who refused to let the combine of power and bureaucracy grind innocents into dust. Her creed, paraphrased across leaflets and graffiti, echoes the repeated refrain from your files: resistance does not cease. That phrase becomes both a rallying cry and an indictment of the occupation’s attempt to erase dissent.
A deeply flawed hero - brilliant leader, in combat; morally transgessive in method and mythic in death.
But is death... truly the end?

I longed for death for so long. But now, as life slips from me - I feel nothing but fear, then calm. I gaze upon the man standing over me, the barrel of the gun pointed towards me. The pain as blood leaves my body into a pool surrounding me - the shouts, gunfire and everything... and then, darkness. There is nothing after death but darkness. All else they tell you is a lie. Truth be told, I was already dead before the bullet plunged into my skull and ended my torment. Between the seconds that passed before it all ended, I could see my life fly past me. All the love, hate... the good, the bad and the middling. I always knew this would happen - but in the end, I wasn't ready. At least now, the dead ones will not haunt my dreams anymore - for I am among them. In this serene darkness of nothingness.
Alys
"You were my sister, perhaps even the daughter I should have had if life didn't choose this for me. It pains me to leave you alone... I used to long for death, but after I met you - I feared for it. I couldn't leave you alone, and yet - I wasn't the one to decide that for me. Please... forgive me. As the barrel of the gun pointed at me, all I could see was your eyes... the fear of leaving you - it vanished just as life was stripped from me. I am so sorry, Ellen... please... forgive me. I should have been stronger, instead I was weak... and I left you, all alone."
Arthur
"Oh Arthur.. I never got to properly tell you, how I wish nothing of the past had happened. My love for you never vanished. I longed for your warm embrace until life was stripped from my body. The warmth of the blood soaking my clothes... that is what I had to keep myself warm. How I wish we were back in Texas... in the States... young and stupid. Instead we were brought back together, and I never gave you the chance I should have. To tell you that I love you - to tell you... everything. The family we never got to have... and the life we were robbed. I am sorry, Art... please.. forgive me. I know you found love after me, but that she was taken - I.. I am just... so- .. so sorry. That I never got to tell you, what you truly meant for me."
Scoutter
"Hey... Scoutter. Don't be sad - I was given the chance to save you, in exchange for my own life. I have never been given that chance before, instead people have given theirs for me. But now - I have done one good thing in my life... and that was to give my life for you. Please... my friend... my brother... take care of Alys... and everyone else. And don't blame yourself. You were my brother... my comrade... my man that always stood by my side in the most dire of times. I am just glad that it was me who paid the price, and not you. For I hadn't been able to see yet another die because of me. I shall always remember you... for you are more than you think. Never stop fighting... and never, ever.. blame yourself."
Grey
"You were with me before my last moments in life. You were a friend.. and a brother.. I couldn't be more proud than to have stood beside you in my last moments. You gave me your trust, your loyalty and more. I just wish I could have given you so much more. Please... do not blame yourself. Take care of Alys... Scoutter... and everyone else. I need you to keep fighting and never to give up. To help those who cannot help themselves, to protect those who are tramped upon - and to fight for our people. That is all we can do, before life is suddenly taken away from us. Take care, my friend.. my brother."-
Dev
"Been a long time, my friend... my mentor. I guess my time finally came, eh? But... where are you? I find myself alone in this eternal darkness that I wander... searching for you... and everyone else. Has it all been a lie? Is this what death truly is? You believed in Heaven and Hell, if so - then I must be in hell for this place is nothing but nothingness. There is no time, nor space - but it still feels like I have wandered for days, if not years... over and over, in the dark. I think of you, I remember it now.. in my last moments before my life ended, I saw you... holding your hand out to me before the gun set off and ended my life.. but where are you now? Wait... what is that up ahead.. there is something.. I can't tell what it is exactly but there is... light? My eyes hurt from it, the dark having soaked in my blindness. But I move to the light - and... you are here? Yes.. I can see you now. You and everyone else... Scav... Gaz.. Grom... Disma-.. you are all there - waiting. I'm coming - grasp onto my hand and pull me into the light! And away from this darkness."
Poelking
"Guess it was my time to go now, wasn't it? I still remember our talks. I tried to make you see the positive in it... and then a day later they took you. You were around the same age as Alys.. the same age I was in when they enslaved me and sent me east. Like you, I liberated myself... I fought.. and I died. Something tells me that I got the easy way out with a bullet to the head, whilst yours wasn't as quick. I see you now.. standing there in the light. Wait... Felix... I'm coming! I'm coming to you now, my friend."

Born nearly two decades before the Earth’s downfall, as a previous inhabitant of Austin, Texas - in what is now the American Wasteland. Subject ‘W’ would become acquainted with the occupation following the destruction of New York during the onset of the invasion. Also the location of the humiliation where Breen, the traitor had signed the plea for Earth’s surrender and our inevitable enslavement.
Avoiding the bloodshed itself alongside the refugees fleeing the city; she could count herself lucky… the year forward during the occupation hadn’t been kind. Being shifted between the many refugee zones erected by the Occupant, it would be in former New York her life took a turn. Separated by her family and drafted into service for the Militant Arm-Arteria during the Great Conscription of '05, sent east to quell the Eastern Rebellions, in what would become known as the Great Culling.
Never again to see her family nor her former homeland again.
Returning from the horrors of the East unlike so many others, she was eventually settled in City 24.

-"I can never really tell, but I do remember.. something. It was toughest in the beginning, when they let me back out. Those intense flashes of sudden memories, surging through me. What sort of devilry is this shit? Last time those flashes came, it was of the East... the burning cities of Peking and Macao. Now it is different. No longer is it the faces of those who I served with, they have been erased and replaced by something much more malicious. My dreams send me back to my cell after they took me, Broomstick must've been here too... he knows. The isolation. The Darkness. I've been and seen my fair of shit... but what I felt there, in the Overwatch Cardinal Recusantory... an euphemism for hell. I don't know what they did to me, only glimses of what horrendous shit went down haunts me. Truth be told, I rather not know... but they did something to me, I know that... I can feel it inside of me. Sometimes, I fear what it has done to me... other times it feels like, they've just made me into the one I was destined to be... "-

I made it out... I can't believe it. Fuckin' hell... fuckin' Wardens. They alone bear responsibility for their actions, bringing freedom through death. I was there, I saw it happen and I know you did it. Still, brave men and women brought about themselves to help the others escape the horrors you unleashed. Where we went was even worse.. the darkness of the old tunnels reminded me of the cell in my nightmares. The hellish darkness and damp cold, the lingering untold beasts never seen before. I thought I had seen the worst in the East... but these... these things shouldn't exist."-

I coped by lying to myself that your death must've been quick at least. Yours and the others.. but then I saw you. Standing there, alive and well. I couldn't believe my eyes at first, perhaps it was my head messing with me... but no. It wasn't a psychosis... you were real. And I know why too… when I saw you, I felt something inside of me I haven’t feel for a very long time. A very distinct feeling. I thought I had lost the ability to feel after my service in the East … the apathy made it easier to handle life. Emotions are dangerous for people, especially for people like us.. But now… I want to feel. These emotions are what makes me human. I am human. Not like them. And like all humans, we crave survival. I’m not sure whether to speak to you about this.. the time is not right. And still - time is running out for me. Stay alive, please.”

The war has always been continuous, saying it ain't is just lyin' to yourself. All statements that the Resistance is to cease are false, always has been. Now you won't be able to stop it.. I can see it all now; whatever they put inside of me? Well... whether it is a ticking bomb or not, I know now what I must do. There is no other way but total carnage, the complete annihilation of our occupant. It is time for everyone to make a stand, either they are with us - or with them. But traitors and Quislings come last; the true evil lurks deeper than so. The rot must be pulled from the roots, even if the whole city must burn with it. Isn't it like what they say in the bible? The wicked shall burn and the righteous shall live... well, time to test that theory. The city will burn, but not our city - only the illusion of one that our Occupant has made."-

-"I've seen death.. and I have long thought of you being the same. But when we found you in one of those pods, my heart shrank. As I fell upon the ground, I could only feel myself being lifted away. I was ready to embrace death, for I had saved a life in return. But life is cruel. Two times, I thought you dead - and now on the third time, I saw you die. And the worst part? You saved me... but I couldn't save you. I had you back... but within that same moment, they took you from me... from all of us. What sort of God allows such injustice, Desmond? He brought you back to me, only to take you away. I don't know ... I used to feel nothing after I came back from east, but now... the only thing I feel now is anger... hatred. It is impossible to show mercy to the same huns that slaughter us as beasts. There is no revenge, no justice... not if we reach for it ourselves."-

The war never ended on the day that the archtraitor Breen signed our surrender... the war is endless, it has always been endless. All statements that Resistance is to cease are false. -"All statements that resistance has ceased, are false. As the city falls into chaos, we remain and build our strength. A division of cells in the body, multiplying themselves and spreading rapidly. The Occupant, the tyrants of the otherwordly and their Quislings have long held an iron grip over the Pearl of the West, Geneva. They are an infestation to our bodies, a virus that spreads. The human immune system is built to protect us, in order for us to survive the evolutionary cycle. We become immune to diseases, as the leukocytes in our body interact and combat the invasion. Humanity is a body, the Combine is the foreign virus that infests us. It can only be combated by replication, immunization. I've fought this war a long time, the mistakes of the past have made us adapt. Now, our bodies - the belief in the Cause, has become immune to the foreign anti-body. Resistance and inaction, a lingering in the dark. In Quantum physics, a Particle Ghost can only been seen when interacting with other particles. It is a rarity, making them difficult to track. Just like that - we spread, unable to be seen and with the strength of immunization we soon cover the city. The Endless War is fought without ever halting; it is constant, but every action made drives us closer to what we seek. Survival. An end to the genocide of our race. If we bend and submit, then our future is not human. It is a degenerate version, flesh blended with machinery. The total subjugation of humanity, rendered to nothing but an indentured servant. A grotesque image, the total annihilation of human instinct and emotion."-

-"Conscripts. The militant collaborators utilised by the regime to hunt their own. I once belonged to them, forced to serve in the East. What choice did one have? None.. but I did when I got back. I first came upon them in the outskirts of Geneva, by the old canal system. Gunfire attracted my attention, believing a group of refugees found themselves in danger. To my surprise, I found them. Conscripts. The militant collaborator fending off the horde. As I made my retreat, I entered the ruined building to catch a breathe. From the top-floor of the demolished building, I could see the patrol approaching. I hid. Only to see them engage with the xenian beasts with their backs turned to me. I raised my weapon, but I decided not to shot one of my own."-
-"A mistake I'd come to regret. As the patrol ventured into the building, most likely spotting me - they'd open fire immediately upon seeing me in the staircase. All missed, except for a bullet that dent the plate. They're poorly armed and trained... made my escape from the building in a hurry. Knowing their were on my tail. I saw the emblem of the one who fired. The rank of a Major. I recognise it from my service. He didn't hesitate to shot one of his own, a human. These collaborators will do much harm if they're allowed to continue unmolested in the outlands. Question is... are we willing to kill our own?"-

Act II: Land of the Rising Sun
-"Embarking from the destruction of the Pearl of the Orient and its remnant industrial cities... we found ourselves in the land of the Rising Sun. Traversing thousands of miles, losing many in the process. As we came upon the old lands of the People's Republic of China, whos Culling I participated in when they were the first to resist the Occupant. Only death lingers in that place now. Despite our hardships, we made it across to the island of former Japan. Once it was called Tokyo, home to the Empire of Japan. Now - it bears the slave name of City 8. It is known for its stability and security, at least from rumors. But now when I'm here... this place does not differ itself from many others, except for the relentless brutality and inhumane conditions. Racial tensions between the locals and us, whom they call foreigners - a great start... as if we didn't have enough trouble in the first place. This City is nothing but a decadence, death and oppression."-
-"This place... ain't no such thing as civilized. Former fighters, those who believe in the Cause - their brutality is only matched by the horrors of humanity's dark history before their arrival. Our own people - murdering each other in cold blood. Executions and beheadings, as if taken from a tale from the Medieval times. This place drives everyone crazy, that is clear... already - we've lost a brother-in-arms.. Poelking. And his death marked the death of another, one who followed me closely... Samurai, or Sam as we called her... held down, with her arms strapped shut before the executioner's axe swung at her neck several times before the final blow cut the head off. I have seen many things in my life... cruelty and sadism. But this... this is something else. Killed by one of our own, a believer in the Cause over a slight. Triggered by the man's unstable mental state, which deteriorates further for every passing day. Yet still.. we strive forth, even if our movement as a whole has become fractured by the deeds of the few. I just hope... this place won't change me.."-

The Endless War

"July, 2018..."
"People like to talk about war like they know it. And trust me, they do. Our whole life has been spent fighting this war. But when people realise the truth, you can see the catharsis cut through them like tender meat as the truth slowly sink into them. Like taking Ecstacy for the first time, you finally understand it all - and you knew that the rules were rigged from the start by our new masters.
Some have known about it for years, but they never dared to tamper into those thoughts... others simply refuted to some form of double-think, accepting the laws and rules of our occupants in belief that their life would be made better. The only thing that has gotten better is the lie. They get up in the morning, conduct their regulatory inspection before walking away to their workshift in belief that they are doing the right thing.
But deep inside their brain, right on the very back of it... there is something knawing away. A feeling of sorts... as if life itself was an illusion. The very life you thought you had lived for these years turned out to be nothing but a lie. When people come to realisation of it, things take a turn.. can't blame 'em, their whole life they've walked around thinking that this perfect life of theirs is truly nothing more but servile to the otherwordly. We all have lived in that lie, but not all of us make it out alive. Some folks aren't just made to last... finding it simplier to end their lives rather than to fight.
The only law that applies in our existance, is the laws of nature. Only the strongest can survive. Only the strongest and most adaptable can ensure the survival of our race. We are what nature intended for us to be - animals. We are created to survive, to adapt and to resist. The truth of all things is - the war never ended. The war has been constant since the days of their first arrival and since the surrender of our leaders.
The war is endless and constant, for it is in our nature to resist."

"I've seen the detention cells before, but this was something entirely different. I remember most of it now.. but it is still a blurr. They took me here.. after the questioning. I remember the bright lights shining into my eyes.. the pain from the bullet that had struck me down numbed by their drugs. I saw similar things in the East, when we captured insurgents... but the interrogator used what humans always had used... brute strength. This however, was nothing like that... but a torture I am unable to bear. The injection forced me to talk, distracted by the whole ordeal.. something must have been said. Last thing I remember, is walking into my death."-

The darkness of the cell, old but sterile.. and the silence. You've always expected prisons to be loud, but no.. not here. The worst was the silence... your minds whispering thoughts as the silence nor darkness ever broke. The isolation and destitute was there, but I wasn't the only one here... I knew there were hundreds more, like us... like me. But the silence overtook it all."-
-"The only times I remember seeing people, if they could be called that...was when I was processed, upon my arrival. The last time? Finding myself in the brightest room I've ever seen, gazed upon the cold eyes laid upon me before I felt their machinations tear me apart. I don't remember anything else... but, I know... I know it's in there... they put something in my head. I feel it.. I know it. Sometimes, it feels like it has changed me.. weakened me in my sense."-

It is the new evolutionary chain of process. It is our survival as a species. Every day, I see it transpire and transform for each passing day. The natural cycle of things. Not everyone agrees with me, but not everyone has seen what is to come. They do not yet understand the future humanity stands, but I do. They made me part of that future. I am an idol of the Occupant, a grotesque show of what humanity is to become within the next decade."
"But humanity has always lingered upon the sub-consciousness of its own beliefs. Fear of the unknown. Dread for the future. And they should, for I have seen it. Now, I must show them.. otherwise, they will never understand. I am but a messenger, for those who have passed... a remnant that should have died a long time ago. The lot has fallen upon me to deliver that message, for the sake of those who are no longer with us. Those who have succumbed in the endless war. The jackboot of tyranny and oppression.. the sterile and damp cells of our Occupant. Or the wet and muddy ground of our poisoned planet."
"It is a message of fire and fury, that shall be brought upon our enemies - by the believers. The believers in the cause, the martyrs of hope. The fighters of tomorrow and the day after. For each passing day, humanity descends into depravity and death, unless we bring the message of the dead to the doorstep of our enemy. And we all know who that enemy is, do we not? For each passing day, the more of us there becomes - for no matter how hard they trample upon us, the martyrs are those who make the change. It is those believers, that are the Messiahs humanity is depending itself upon. It is an endless war, a cycle of violence and death. It has been so, ever since they came to our planet and it will continue - even after they leave. But for now, the enemy is the one in-front of us."

We all know who the enemy is
"March, 2020"
-"Humanity achieved its supremacy by force and violence. An evolutionary chain of history saw the rise and fall of empires, great and small. Since the end of Cold War, the wars of mankind was wiped out as the world stood more united than ever. It was put to the test by the Portal Storms, then subjugated within Seven Hours by our invader. Those elected to represent the people, humanity in whole, simply gave up. But the people never have. The war continues and it has been continuous since they came here."-
-"The war is fought in a variety of different shapes and forms. But they all seek the same thing. The preservation of our species, our unshackled liberty and an end to the oppressive state of our alien subjugators. This is a war of preservation, for our enemy strive to eradicate us. For them, it is a war of extinction, genocide. There is no other way than to resist. For once they're done with us, they'll come after their own - until there won't be anyone else left of us, except for a twisted version of humanity."-
-"Molded as indentured servants for eternity for our Benefactor."-
-"We all know who the enemy is. Even the most radical conformist and collaborator. They cling to the falsebelief of a better life, when in truth - they'll be extinct from history like the rest of us. Then, once they're done with our planet - they'll move to the next one. We all know who the enemy is; the enemy is those who serve the occupational state, those at the top that communicate and dictate who gets to live and who is to die today."-
-"If you want to live, then you need to learn to seperate friend from enemy."-

Revolution grows out of the barrel of a gun
"Late march, 2020"
-"I've fought the war for many years. Before that, I fought a different war in service of our Occupant. If there is one thing I have learnt from these past years, it is that revolution and anarchy grows out of the barrel of a gun. Power grows out of the barrel of a gun. Violence is a means to an end, if used with care. It is our only option in this endless war, which we have fought since they came here. I have seen many die. In the East, they rose to the thousands. In Geneva, the price is much higher."-
-"It has been a year now. Since I came back from the dreaded cells of the Occupant. I still fought. And so did everyone else. It is only me left now, out of those who were my family."-
-"Gaz. Scav. Rice. Diaz. Dismas. Connor. Dev. Vaas. Robert. Smoky. Aeric. Hunter. Khan."-
-"And so many more."-
-"Out of all of them. I'm the last. I carry their deaths with me. Their faces visiting me in my dreams. Only when I wake up, I truly cry. Finding myself back in the dread that is our reality. This became our burden and now we're the last of our generation. The sole thing I can do, is carry their legacy with me. I'm still here, the war is not over for me and it will never be until I find myself dead on the ground or in a cell. Or worse.. but a bullet to the head is preferable to captivity, they won't go lenient now. Won't repeat their past mistakes. But before I find myself in death's embrace, I build the movement that our legacy resides on with their memory in my mind."-
-"It is time to up the games. Those who strive to serve our Occupant and betray their own. Well.. I think it is time now, isn't it?"-
-"To spread some anarchy."-

Sic Semper Tyrannis - Thus always to tyrants
"Early April, 2020.."
-"I once read, "If we win here we will win everywhere. The world is a fine place and worth the fighting for."... Hemingway. He understood. Fighting the Fascists in Spain during the 1930s. It is worth fighting for, there is no other option than the struggle. Some choose it, finding upon themselves that the truth we live in is a lie constructed by the Occupant. Some live in the lie, and others embrace the lie."-
-"There are two sides, two opposites. Like a thesis and an antithesis. We and them, the middle ground being those have yet to decide on the right course of action. But we who have, know that once we've made the choice - there's only two options. Hunt or be hunted."-
-"We've been hunted. But now it is our turn to become the hunter. Prey upon those who have chosen the side of the Occupant and strive to progress their betrayal. Only way to teach them, is the hard way. The death of their mouthpiece. Their instrument of the lie. There is no better display of truth, than to see the lie implode. Plans are put at place, the haste of which our revenge lies. Strike the iron with the hammer while it is hot, and they will never see it coming. The names of those who aid the Occupant, who share in their crimes - are ones that won't be spoken, for they will be forgotten. As their body decompose to nature, no one will remember their name, only their crime."-

Nou aru taka wa tsume-o kakusu
The smart hawk hides its talons
"... 2020."
-"A long time has now passed, since what happened in Industrial Twenty-Four. Like with what they did with Geneva, they razed the city to the ground. Their strive for the genocide of our species, the Occupant has never ceased in it. They have never been our benefactors, only our masters. As we made our way from the Industrial city, the ruins of what remained of Geneva crossed our paths. It was no longer a city, but a graveyard. It still stands, somewhat... the annihilation of the city not measured by destruction, but by the silence of the dead."-
-"I am still unable to comprehend how we got here... but here we are, stuck in lands far beyond what we are used to. Across the continent, our paths mingled with the ruins of former China. Still the memories of its destruction felt, as we - humans like me participated in its culling many years ago. Its reaping and destruction. In the land of the Rising Sun we now find ourselves in, making a treacherous journey across the Yellow Sea before making landfall. Our paths, as if driven by a force we cannot yet comprehend we now find ourselves in the last bastion of the East."-
-"If Geneva was the Pearl of Western Europe, well.. it is safe to say that Tokyo is not the Pearl of the East. More like... the land spared by the Occupant. Its reaping and culling not yet decided, unlike in Europe and former China and India. We find ourselves trapped in a land we know nothing of, whose language and customs we do not know. Unlike others from Geneva, we were not spared the comfort of a safe life. Our life has never been safe, and now we find ourselves for a conflict in a land we do not know. Only thing we can do, is unify the people - us outsiders who made the journey. This place is different, with the Combine's grip over the city having long since deteriorated. We now find ourselves in the worst forms of conflicts - the one between our own."-

This is a world where nothing is solved
"June... 2020."
-"You ever think you're a bad person? Good... bad or middling.. it doesn't matter. They are constructions made to different between what we deem acceptable and not. I've known good bad folks, and bad good folks. Truth is.. world needs bad men, just as equally as it needs good. This is a world where nothing is solved, no matter how hard you try. There is no justice unless you seek it yourself, or leave it up to fate to decide. Our journey to this forsaken and foreign place has done us nothing good, nor bad equally. It has instead driven folks to their limits of what sanity allows."-
-"We all knew that coming here wouldn't change anything.. but it has. And not for the betterment. We've lost many good people, just as equal to the number as those who perished beneath the jackboot in Geneva. Poelking, Samurai... the names are too many to count. Their loss driving some of us mad, a schism appearing between our fractured unity. We are all in this fight for a reason, but not anymore.. not now at least. Now we're fighting between ourselves for reasons that have vanished for a long time, with only hatred and desires of revenge taking its place. But despite this fragmentation, we're still in it together - even if we struggle to conceal our true feelings."-
-"When I saw the destruction in the East during the Culling, I realised that I was in hell. The blazing landscape, with thousands of bodies littering wherever you went. The ruins of the old mega cities that once inhabited millions. I truly believed that was hell. Now I realised that I never left hell. Wherever I go, it is the same.. destruction and death, the smell of ash and a disturbance of the psychosphere. It doesn't matter whether we are in Geneva or the old nation of Japan - it is all the same. The same madness haunts us, no matter where we go - we cannot escape it, and never hide from it. All we can do is confront it, before it engulfs us entirely."-
-"Whatever it comes to, I'll never forget the true reason of why I am here. I have seen the future of mankind and I fear it. This is a world where nothing is solved, unless we ourselves do something about it.. and some of us, are ready to do more than others."-

Act III: From Russia with Love
Fahrenheit 451
-"When I was a kid, I learned that books self-ignite at 451 degrees Fahrenheit. That's 233 degrees celsius... I remember reading the book of a dystopian future where firemen were tasked with burning books and houses with outlawed litterature, rather than extinguish it. Now that I'm here, I could never have imagined myself wishing for such warmth. Never before, not even in the East during the Culling have I felt such a cold. It penetrates into the bone, lingering like a sickness over the body."-
-"This city was dead even before they sent us here - and everyone else. Makes you miss Japan and City 8 for all its faults and crime... I'd take it any day over this cold. I'm not even sure I'll survive this.... wouldn't that be an irony.. I've survived war and death, only to succumb to the weather. As I huddle myself close to the makeshift fires built by people whose names remain unknown, the thought of those who was here before keeps haunting me. I'd never punish my worst enemy with this cold... this is something else, something inhumane. They say the city is the former Russian city of Vladivostok - once the most important city and naval base of Russia and the Soviet Union; now it is a ruin, a cold graveyard left for us to populate."-
-"The only solemn given to a person like myself, is finding those you care about alive - trapped in the same nightmarish cold as oneself. Makes you envy of those who are dead. Those who don't have to suffer like we are. But we still have a task to complete. Those who have given their life for the cause - it must not have been in vain. It remains as a duty for us to continue the struggle, for the cause is all that matters. Even as the cold digs into the skin of my body, what keeps me alive is the thought of those who have gone before. Their spirit and memory keeps me going - and those who are still alive. This is not a time to quit; there has never been a time to quit. We don't own that luxuary. This is our burden to carry - for we are the last of our generation. None will come after us, and I'd be damned to let the cold get to me now, when we've come this far..."-

Act IV: Brave New World
Brave New World
-"Geneva. They used to call it the Pearl of the West. The most prestigious and wealthy of the Cities brought upon us by the new regime. It was never prestigious nor wealthy, at least to the majority who lived outside the inner circle of the elite. Beyond their walls, people starved, killed.. maimed by the protectorers of 'peace', robbed and gutted by the desperate. No.. it was never the Pearl of the West. Geneva is still the same shit-hole as every other place. It carries the scent of a graveyard not properly buried.. the countless people who died when the ants swarmed, or when the Combine began to shell the city and gas its inhabitants. Because that is what their aim has been from the start - our genocide."-
-"This place is nothing but a bad memory for me. I lost many good people here, friends and more. Rice... burned on the stake for the amusement of the sickos. Brave men and women, giving their lives only to die by the hands of those we fight. They did not die in vain, for their memory still clings on - and it will forever. Yes... this place will the first, the signal of the uprising that is come. Madrid has already sent us the torch, we now simply have to pass it on and liberate Geneva - by destroying it all.."-

Act V: Finale
Everything has to come to an end, sometime
-"I survived the chaos of the Culling; I witness the burning of Peking... the raze of Calcutta, the decimation of Hong Kong. I witnessed the death of countless, if not hundreds of those I considered friends and more. Blood sips from my body as I lay here together with that man... I can feel life slip from my fingers. Is this how it all ends? After all this? Was it all for nothing? I feel warm... and sticky. I've felt this way before; this isn't the first time my body takes a beating... but I know it will be my last. A-at least... Scoutter is alive.. I made sure of it. My ears ring of the constant fire from the outside... but all I can hear is the cry of the man supposed to hold me prisoner. It hurts... it really hurts- and then... it doesn't. I lift my gaze as the man enters; he appears to be the commanding officer of this clique of desperate men. Despite my efforts to keep pressure on the entry wound, the blood won't stop slipping past my fingers."-
-"Truth be told... I knew it would end sometime.. just not.. like this. Alone with strangers.. as they speak, the commanding officer barks out an order - my gaze kept on the barrel. I am so sorry Alys... I'm sorry... everyone. I bite my lip hard enough for it to crack to the pressure, the metallic taste of blood filling my mouth. The worst part of dying; is not having control over it.... how I once used to long for death. Now - I'm scared, for the first time - in a very long time.. I try to part my lips to speak, but as my voice pass my lips only a loud bang is heard."-
-"My eyes flash... the gunpowder blinding me. The pain is gone and there is only darkness. It feels like I can still move, but I can't... not anymore. The train has stopped - and now I lay here; in my own pool of blood. My life ended at the hands of people whose names I never knew."-
-"The worst of it all - is the darkness..."-

The One Who Answered the Call
-"I remember when I first meet you beneath the city of Tokyo. You were mending the wounded in dark and damp conditions, yet you never gave up. I was surprised to know that you followed Outrider and his crew... but I wasn't surprised when you answered the call. You took it upon yourself when I tasked you to reform Outrider's crew. And you did it better than Outrider himself. Instead of giving up, you rallied the survivors you found and rebranded your vision with others who shared it. You are one of my closest allies and friends - I hope that will not change. Only now is the inevitable wait for your return, and once you do we'll crack two beers open. For we are all in the same fight now, whether we want it or not. But we both know - there is no other way.."-

The Stand-Up Comedian
-"First time I met you, I thought you were an informant. You had that carefree attitude. But now I know that you are just a free spirit. You told me your real name before I found out that you're Gary. Nice initiative with the Slum Store... and Club Unity. Your vision of it as a Comedian Club fell flat, and that is a joke in itself. The folks you hang out with now, they're good friends to me - which makes me your friend. But it is clear that you haven't seen much of the real world.. no, not like us. Folk like me Gary... we're dangerous. I have killed people. Both as a servant of Our Occupant, now as a servant of our enslaved species. This life of ours is nothing but death, an eternal war. But what choice do we have? When we are the last of our generations... there won't be anyone else after us. The struggle is the only goal of humanity; sides doesn't matter... in the end, they will purge us all and leaving only the future of humanity. For I have seen it; flesh mixed with machine in a grotesque form of our Occupant's dominance over our world... are you really ready?"-

A Friend from Beyond the Stars
-"An alien... a vortigaunt as we call them. I have no idea what they call themselves, truth be said.. I still remember the portal storms when they wreaked havoc. I was called out with the National Guard to an incident, ended up with nearly a hundred dead or wounded... whilst the convoy was on fire. Once we were enemies, now we are friends and allies fighting the Occupant that has enslaved us both. I'm glad that is the way now... for trust me Lord, we wouldn't make it without you. Vas and his buddy Biz, they are strange entities... not like others their kin. Vas holds the human ability of sarcasm, almost too much.. in a free world, perhaps it would be a comedian. But in the world we find ourselves in now, we're soldiers in an endless war. We still wage a war against the bondage, and I see myself as a liberator. My ancestors fought for the South and slavery during the Civil War; now I'm doing the opposite and fighting for the abolition of all of our slavery. I hope our friendship and mutual alliance continues to hold, but I have no doubt about it. This world surely could use more camraderie. I won't let you down, nor will my people - and I know your folk won't too. We're into this until the end, my friend.

Joan of Arc
-"My first introduction to Marchand was something that I could not have expected. A loyalist to the regime, and a doctor at that. She helps the downtrodden and the wounded. She does not display the kind of arrogance and cruelty that many others do that have swore their oath to the new regime. Hell... she even saved my life when I was hanging on by a thread. First time in a long time that I was treated in a clinic. Without her and Grey I most likely would've been a goner.... damn drugfiends. Yet as I scrape the surface, I get a feeling that there is more to her than one could first believe. She holds a kind spirit, a light in this darkness that we find ourselves in. Something tells me that she is not truly one that adores the new regime, but still fights to change the system from the inside - one life at a time. Despite our brief interactions, I have enjoyed our interactions... I should talk to her more.. get to know her. God knows taht I've only scraped the surface to begin with."-

-"The first time I saw you, it must've been in City Eight. Europe? Unsure... Geneva? I doubt that. You're a man who's survived long and unhingen, it sometimes amazes me how people are able to adapt to survive in this new world of ours. I ain't too sure how long you have been in the game, but you have been in it for some time; that is clear. I just wonder if you truly know how long it will be... this is a service for life. I've seen men and women come and go, you learn to read them both in life and in death after a while. But I know you have already decided within yourself of this path... I just hope that I am preparing you all for what it is to come...."-

-"An illusive man, he's cold like a clerk, precise... met your kind before, former government employee's.. you have to be right? I mean.. what else. Truth be told, I thought you were just a figment of my imagination as the dissociation struck as hard. Your ability to appear at a convenient time, like the Devil at the crossroad you wait. But sometimes... I get the feeling that something is weird. I do not know.. the laws of nature is shattered, what was once impossible is not a reality - and our world is a chaotic ever rolling cycles of repetition.."-
-"You know Pathfinder, means you've got roots in Geneva... can't put my finger on it; Liberation Front? Clover? Lambda? Or just another of the thousands or even hundreds of thousands who fight the war that has no end."-

Last of our Generation
-"Crazy to think about it, right? Being the last generation of your kind. You're just like me and so many others. Brought up in the Echelon programs, eh? You're in that age.. while they shipped my generation over the seas to the East; they contained yours in a cage. We've fought our own wars, like everyone else. But unlike everyone, we both understand the truth of things. There is no other option than to resist. In the end, that is all that matters. The sole thing our life has any value to at this moment. A burden put on us by God? Or by nature's own mischiefs? Or just a hell of a lot of bad luck.. doesn't matter really. I hope what I gave you will come to something good.. people don't like to gamble, but now, most of us don't have a choice in the matter anymore. But you're tough, lot tougher than you look.. you are our future, the last of our generation. Remember that.."-
-"You're a young girl.. a woman brought up in the Echelon program. Now I have you under my wing and I feel responsible for you. Like an older sister, trying to keep her little one out of trouble. I've had many people who have depended on me before, many of those people have died and it was my fault. I should have been there for them when they needed me. But this war we're fighting? It is a ruthless war. A war like no other. I have seen war for a long time, but the pain never goes away. It only dulls with time. And people like to say that once you've experienced it once, you will be ready for it again. But truth be told, you're never ready... you only learn from your mistakes not to repeat history. I trust that Scar and the others will be there for you, but be sure - I will be there too. I just fear that, once you see what I've seen - you've become scared, damaged... hurt. And you will be, but - no matter how weak you feel, your legs will always be strong enough to carry you back up. Never bend, never lie down... never give up, no matter the consequences... no matter how you feel. I'll be there for you, as will everyone else. We're all in this together."-
-"Alys. Truth be told. I love her. The younger sister I never had. She makes me feel like the adult around her, or more like the old ass grandpa. She's young, intelligent and driven. She's plunged herself into this war, because she knows there is no other way. She's the last of her generation, like the rest of us. She's been through the program, Echelon they call it... the processing of brainwashing and re-education that our Benevolent leaders placed her and millions of other. The rest, they simply got - wiped away. Erased into the last embryo. We are the remnant of what once used to be. Forever trapped. We were once driven by two instincts, survival and procreation. Now, there's still two instincts - survival and fighting. Even if we fall and die, we have made a sacrifice that not many could hope to achieve. Something those bootlickers could never understand. We fight this war for them as much as for ourselves, and still they spit on us. They report us and betray us. We can't blame 'em for being ignorant. But we do blame them for the price in blood their betrayal has cost us in innocent blood. You're one of the good ones, I am too.. we know when to kill, and when not to pull the trigger. That is an act that many humans no longer posses - they strike solemnly for the kill without knowing the reaping consequences of their actions. You are my heir. My heir and the heir of many more - if we fall, then you will have to carry the legacy forward. All girls grow up to become women. And you're already there."-
-"We've come far.. I'd never thought I would see the day. But here I am... truth be told, I have you and Scar - and everyone else to thank for that. You've rekindled the flame I long thought extinguished. When I languished by myself, after the deaths of those I cared about... I didn't think I'd make it for as long as I have. But thanks to you, I have.. you all believe in me. You believe in change... but truth be told, it is you who make me believe. You and everyone else, Alys.. without you - I'd be nothing. Yet we all carry wounds from our past and the present alike. I just hope this new world don't swallow us whole. It has slowly begun to tear open old wounds long thought healed - a knife struck in the back by the people we believed to be friends and allies. No matter how we feel, we cannot allow the feeling of hatred and revenge get the best of us. I've seen enough death in my life, too much. You don't deserve that kind of life. That is not the life I want to give you.. that is why I teach patience, even if my heart screams for action. I have seen it for so long that I cannot be able to undo the feeling, but I can control it. For I know all of our lives depend on it. But my life matters little now, all that matters if you - and everyone else. I couldn't save Felix, and I wish it hadn't been me who told you. But someone had too... and I don't deal with lies or wish to keep anyone in the dark. Not anymore. You are my responsibility now - you and everyone else. And I'd be damned if I let something happen to you all - especially you...
-"Think there is an end to all of this? That is a question that will eventually come into mind of us all. When it does, I want you to be ready. I have seen you, how you've matured... you remind me of myself. Sometimes, I am not sure whether to fear it or embrace it... I never wanted this life, neither did you - I bet. But we've made your choice now with the lot we've been given. There is no turning back now. And if I fall - you will be there to lead it on, with the others. I hope you understand that. My death will come, I just hope I'll be given the time to prepare you all for it. I can't decide when, no one is given that choice. We take what we're given. We ain't the masters of that... I wish we were. Nothing to change that fact. But - what we can do, is make the most of it before our time has come. And when it does, I might be ready, or I might be not. But you will. Always. Be ready."
-"You know the secret which I myself, did not want to believe. Those who knew are all dead. I am dead to, but not in body or mind; but by time. I do not know what this thing is that they put in me. But I can tell you - won't let anything happen before you are all safe. Thank you, Alys. - My sister and my rock."-

-"I was there when we struck the chains of your bondage off you all... no doubt you and Felix had been in the patrol that I encountered several days prior. I observed you all from the ruined building... I knew you had spotted me, as you went straight for the entry. As I stood by the staircase, in hopes of avoiding bloodshed. Your commanding officer decided to shot first. Too bad he wasn't quick enough, nor the rest of you as I made my escape. Heh... if you only knew that it had been me up in that ruined building. I still remember seeing you all on the bridge, observing you all. And then - II had the privilege alongside many others to be the ones to release you all from enslavement. Ever since then, you've taken up arms for the righteous cause. The only war that matters. The war to preserve our species... you've been in it all, through thick and thin'."-
-"Whether it was storming the impregnable fort, to the prison rescue... you've done a lot, no doubt you bear many scars within your mind like Felix did... and many others. I have seen the way Luca treats you, sometimes like a sister... most of the times like a plague. Yet you have more friends than you think. I'm glad your friend... 'Plague' or whatever it was you called her managed to save you from your turmoil. We've all been there... and once we've had our rest, we go back out there. For we don't have a choice. This is our burden, we're the last of our generation... no one else will come after us, not unless we do something about it. And you've just started... and you've had a good start. But this is no time to stop, we linger on carrying the burden of those we've lost - and the burden that fate has bestowed upon us. For we do not choice our fate - what we do have though... is the chance to make a difference before it is our turn. I hope you stay safe out there... I'll keep my eye out for you. -"You have managed to get this far, O'Riley. I'm impressed. It is quite a leap since the day we ambushed the patrol you was part of, and unchained you from your bondage. It is a path paved by death and blood. I wish Poelking was still here... hell, sometimes even Luca - despite the henious acts he did. Now you must live like I once had to. I was lucky to survive long enough, I hope you are. But sometimes, surviving is the worst of it. We both share something in common, some thing that not many people get to. We are the last survivor of our respective scenario. We both know the trauma and the dread that carries upon our shoulder. Yet still we strive on and fight. Why? Because there is no other option but the cause. If we waver now, then it has all been for nothing. I refuse to let all the blood, the pain and the sweat of our toil be for nothing. I wouldn't be able to look those I've lost in the eye, when they come to visit me when I sleep. I know they visit you to. They'll never leave. They are a constant reminder of our mission. It is a sacred one. Never forget that."-

-"Fate is a funny thing. We were introduced upon each other, discussing seeds and plants. It ends up with you saving my life instead. If it hadn't been for you, I'd surely be flatlined now. Not to sure whether to feel grateful, or deprived of the long rest. We don't choose our fate, we just go along with it. Now we find ourselves in new land, in a foreign and distant world to the one we were used to. But we will make it through, like always.. just hope you are still out there somewhere. Many days have passed since our last encounter, and I hope this city haven't swallowed you whole yet. Hope you stay safe out there, Specs.."-

During the Portal storms, they were our enemies - now they are our allies in the struggle. If it comes to it, I'll aid it in the liberation from its bondage.. and I will do so proudly. They have lost their of kin, just like we have.. together, we strive for the freedom and liberation of both our species. I hope Watts and its kin will be willing to aid the cause further, as their liberation is reached - but I have no doubt about it. They can count for ten armed men, with their magic and powers both destructive and healing. I remember Mars and Rome... two of his species which I named, after our human history. I believe they are no longer with us, like so many others... it is our duty to carry on their legacy, and we will - without question. Hope to bring you into the fold of freedom, you and your people. An Agent of Chaos
-"First time I met you. Well... it wasn't exactly the best introduction one could have. I am not sure what happened, whether it was another episode or if the hallucinations drove me towards you. Surrounded by ghosts of the past, I found myself brought upon you. I hope you don't go around and talk about that. Ain't nothing to gain from it. Heh.. perhaps it was destiny after all that brought us two together? You are a motivated man. One who is eager to strike against the Occupant at every possible moment. With plans and the desire to carry it out - by yourself or with aid. Like an agent of chaos, you act like a single-minded cell. Determined, ambitious and radical. We act in unison, even though we are divided - like cells multiplying themselves in a rapid pace. I just hope you live long enough to see the end of this.. a man as driven as yourself, often ends up taking too big a bite.

The Hand that brings judgement
-"One of my guys. One of my crew and my gang. One who truly believes in what the rest of us believe in, a believer and a fighter. He was one of the first of us and he's still with me to this day. Heh.. still think about what Alys told me, about that Flirter she and Scout had discussed. She thinks he's in love with me, haven't heard anything more fun. It is clear that he's into her - obviously. That's how guys do it. They speak about who they like with the person they actually like. Being around him and the others, these interactions... makes me feel human. Makes it feel all worthwhile. I still bear with me the responsibility of their lives on my hands. Still the memories of those before linger still. The ones who were left. Won't let that happen again.. never again.
-"Been with me for quite some time now, Scoutter. My trusted friend and lieutenant. A veteran to the cause for which we spill our blood for in painful agony. Our destiny is not measured by bravado or heroism, but by acts that pursue the salvation of our species. We have both evaded the final destination for most that see the truth and take up arms. I am not yet sure whether it is due to divine intervention, cosmic irony or just bad luck. What I do know though, is that we have been given the time to correct the wrongs made by others. To wedge in the nail that upholds the balance of our movement. I know that in the end, it won't be a matter of how or why - the bullet with our name on is out there somewhere. And no matter how hard I try not to blame myself, I know that I will. No matter the cause, place or time. It is my responsibility - you all are. Just like you hold the responsibility of many more. It is not easy to hold the light that guides others, but who else is there if not ourselves to show the path for others? I just hope that the time we have been given will be enough to settle the wrongings of the past. That our time has not been spent in idleness. I know it is not. For all statements that resistance has ceased, are false. They always will be. No matter where we end up, others will take up the torch. I just hope we won't die in this wretched land of the unknown. We fight for a cause, not for profit or the advancement of our own agenda. But for the salvation of our species, people of all ranks and files in our Occupant's society. Stay strong, Scoutter. We will make it out of this in one way or the other. And neither way will be without a blast..."-

-"Cali... she calls herself. She runs with the germans, Volk or something.... with a sweet, tender voice. Faceless with the mask, your identity is shrouded in mystery. Yet there is something about you that reminds me of someone. Someone who passed, horribly. It feels as if though the mask you carry, is to cover burnt and melted skin of that person. But I know this is not how it actually is. Dissociation.. like a shrink of the old world would have called it, probably. I sense your yearning for the cause, yet sometimes I fear that the choices we've made are too late to reverse. But no.. that is a lie. It is never to late, no matter how you feel. Something tells me that you have more to you, than what could be seen at first glimpse. You carry that gift, along with some others. It is a rare gift. Time will tell if I'm right about you. But something tells me that I am. We're all soldiers of the Endless war. The only war that ever mattered. Fought continously since they came to our planet. The Slum-dog
-"Lots of crazy names.. this Detective. Remember when I first met ya'... down in the stinkin' sewers and you were looking for something. And then, the last time I met you; you were a street thug. Always have an habit of mixing in with everyone? I hear you speak of the impossibilities, but still something tells me you are a believer. Most of all, you believe in yourself. I know a lot of good people, many who have died fighting for the real war. I know what it is that you yern for.. it is freedom, blood.. and adrenaline. I like you and I trust you.. you're like me; tough as nails and won't be tramped upon. I just hope... you put effort into what I asked you to do.
-"Raphael. I met him some time ago and we quickly bonded. Even if I held my reservations of him at first, he's proven himself otherwise. He was the first to answer the call when I vowed to renew the fight. Even if he says he doesn't believe in the struggle, I know he does. In his own way. Which is why he is perfect for what he's doing. He refrains from violence, even if he likes it... I know he does. But he's smart. Keen on staying alive, but loyal and steadfast in his principles. No doubt they harass him often in the city, he's not like everyone else... he's an outcast, like me and many more. But still he frequents the city, both on my behalf; on his own and those who rely upon him. He reminds me of a man, broken in body and spirit. That person shared the OCR with me. He shared the heat of the fighting with me, and he died - leaving the person he loved behind, without her knowing of his fate. Perhaps you... yes... perhaps you could do it. My left hand, crippled by the brute force of our Occupant - bent but not broken.
-"You used to not agree with me. That the war could not be won. You are half-way right. The war is endless, but so is our desire to resist. You showed your true alignment to the cause when you took up arms to aid that girl who had been trapped on the bridge. You risked your life to disarm that mine that had her trapped. You are a goddamn hero and a soldier, both alike. You need to stop denying your true nature. You embrace violence, you like it. The adrenaline, the rush... but unlike others, you do not lose yourself in it. You embrace your humanity, not cruelty like others. You are the future that humanity needs. We all are. I hope you are still with me, but I know you will. You are my trusted left-hand. And now, you're in the struggle for real. But truth be told, you've always fought the war... haven't you? But now, you've just made your stance official. It will change you. You will adapt, and you will survive. For that is human instinct."-

The right woman in the right place
-"One of the few that have seen me... commented upon my messy hair; I found it, strangely human. This connection brought us closer and closer, before we began to talk about the things that ordinary folk won't anymore. A kin soul, seeking the betterment of the downtrodden as she strives to help those beyond the mercy and hospitality of Our occupant with her own clinic.. welfare? A welfare seen many times before, only to be clamped down upon by our Occupant. But she knows I'll help... the struggle is not solely with arms of weapons, it is many things.. and this is one of them. Be safe out there, Scar. Just hope they won't get too you to..
A woman I can count on. A woman I can trust. She's proven to be driven many times over, she really must hate them. I don't doubt it, she knows things that I don't, things about the inner machinations of our occupational state. Ever since I first met her, she's been at my side. Building a movement to challenge the status quo, a new life. She reminds me of myself, even if she enjoys the benefit of being able to traverse the streets of our Occupant. It won't be long though, until she can't. Sooner or later, we all fall beneath their radar. I just hope it won't be soon. Scar is a human being, a true display of humanity's best. Her efforts to provide for the downtrodden inspires me, she ignites my spark - just as I ignite hers. She's my extended right hand, one that I can trust to get things done, and one who has not become corrupt by moral degeneracy like others have. It is her kind heart and her empathy that is our symbol of hope. The hope that one day, we will rebuild our world anew. Now I know, that with her help; that day ain't far away.
-"Imagine my surprise as I saw you behind the mask. I thought you dead, or worse - having left us. But somewhere deep inside I always knew you were one of us, and my resolve was hardened as I saw you with us once more. We embarked together to aid the refugees who needed our help, but we were too late to save most. The two lives we did save however, is enough to change the world. I'm glad to see you with us again Scar. Really fuckin' glad... haven't seen you since Europe and to find you here with me, with us all - again.. well, it just makes me realise that perhaps we'll win this some day. But for now, we must gather our strength and play our cards right. The scattered flock is no longer scattered, but united... and we are coming in to sweep the field in this foreign land. With your help, perhaps the foreigners like ourselves will have a chance in this hellhole of a city... where crime and law are smudged into the same thing. We can't trust anymore except our own. With you, Vodka, Alys, Scoutter, Raphael and all the others by my side, I know we're going to make it far. Don't give up on hope just yet, cause hope arrived when you returned."-

A rekindled spirit
-"Been a long time since I ventured up to the surface... last time, I nearly got killed for it. But it was worth it. She called herself Vodka; a Eastern European, unable to speak English that well. I promised her freedom and salvation; in return, she has to prove it. But I have hopes that she'll make the right decision. We've been beaten down to a pulp for too long; and the scene of active Resistance has fallen. Now most of us hides in the shadows.. but I'm tired of the shadows. I want the people to know - that all statements that Resistance has ceased, are false."-
-"Never seen a taller woman in my life. That together with her poor english makes her all the more terrifying. I thought of her a scrapper, one who lives by scavenging to survive. But something tells me there's more to her than simply this. She's provided to me and the others more than I could have hoped for. She has the hands of a mechanic, a tinker... she reminds me a lot of Desmond. God... I wish he was here. I wish he was here with us, to meet her and the others. But he has fallen, a martyr to the forever cause. His death broke me apart. There was only one thing that kept me from breaking apart completely - the debt. We all owe a debt to ourselves, to our race... to our future. For without us, there won't be a future. Somehow, I think you know this. Vodka, who else but an East bloc names herself after spirits? Perhaps she even has some stowed away somewhere, along with other secrets. She's a secret weapon that we all strive for, one who is able to provide and do so - diligently without question, without batting an eye. She's gone this far already, she won't turn her back on me now I'm sure. Because I won't turn my back on any of you - I will never break, again.."-

23rd Motorized-Brigade Militant Arm-Arteria Battlegroup Orion
[Acquaintance & Disgruntled]
Served for ten years... ain't exactly a piece of cake. After the occupation and the collapse of the United States Government... well... ain't like many of us had a choice. Truth be told, never took part in the war. Was already over before we even got the mobilisation order. Didn't stop them from conscripting everyone they could find, supposedly "ex-militaries". Guess that's what happens when you're placed in the reserves of the National Guard... ended up spending most of my life fighting for our occupants.. those scenes from the east will never be erased from my memory. Nor will the battlefields along the Yellow River and the rivers of Bengal.
Combine Civil Administration
[Dislike and Hatred]
The Quislings that sold us out... who'm do you think they sent east to cull the Sino-Indian insurgents whilst people at the top enjoyed benefits that none other could. Even when we returned, we were shunned - despite having fought for our kind. But at the end, it was all a lie. I know that now. Our sole purpose of existance is to die at the hands of our so-called "Benefactors". Truth be told, I will die - but not in chains. And not until I nuke the fuckin' Nexus.
Overwatch Transhuman Arm
[Hatred & Feared]
People like us, transformed and twisted in the image of the Combine and their cybernetics. These folks are no longer human more than they are machine. When we came back from the east, they tried to recruit me... I declined but my friends did not. I had no idea at the time, of course. It wouldn't be later that revelation struck me. I will never forget what I saw behind that mask - the future of mankind unless stopped..
Civil Protection
[Distrust & Dislike]
The faceless ones. Funny name because unlike others, they do got an actual face beneath those mask of those. Never know if the person you're speaking to is a servant of the people or a pure sadist. Some from my battalion enlisted into Civil Protection upon their return... they just missed the violence. Most of them are assholes, a nice one is a gem... but a gem worth polishing. Even if you are our enemy now - you won't have to be tomorrow...
Loyalists
[Distrust & Dislike]
The Conformists... collaborators too in some degree. Not all are bad, but the majority of them wouldn't think twice of selling you out.
Civvies
[Friendly & Acquaintance]
The average Johnsons. They balance between their conscious, unsure of what to believe. Trying desperately to cling on to whatever used to be a life. Let me tell you, in the old world, the life we have now would be considered nothing but mere slavery. Do not fall for the illusion that they contain us in. Break free and you will see reality for what it is. Hope is around the corner but only for those who dare to open their eyes to the truth.
Underclass
[Friendly & Acquaintance]
The downtrodden. In history, all societies have had their shares of misfortunates... jews... blacks... whites. Whatever our skin or social status was then, nothing compares to what we face now. They are the ones who have been forgotten by our kindred people, but the occupant hasn't. They clamp down with violence unobstructed and however they like. They are the lowest of the low in their eyes... but in my eyes - they are the ones with balls to see reality for what it really is.
The Vortigaunts
[Admired]
Aliens of the otherwordly. During the Portal storms, they called in the reservists from the National Guard to combatant the sudden appearances of these creatures. After they mobilized us, I remember how a single group of them tore the entire convoy apart. Lost at least thirty men in those two minutes. That's when we started to fortify the cities. It wouldn’t be long until the Occupant arrived and former enemies turned friends. Enslaved together, the animosity of some still linger while for others, it has never existed. Some were too young to remember the war, between us and the Xenians. But now... things are different.
Instead of fighting them; they are my allies. No matter the layer, we are eternal allies against the occupation.
And truth be told? I'm glad they are....
For I’ve seen the future of mankind..
And it ain’t human.
The Rebellion
[Admired]
There is nothing more important than the cause we strive for. I spent my early years in the service of our occupant, killing my own kind in the east. I know now, how we all were decieved. We have been in a state of eternal war ever since they first came to our planet. Even though folks deny it, the war is eternal and resistance never ceased from the start. The seeds are sow, when reaped early they bring illness. When left to grow, they stretch far and wide. Remember - all statements that resistance is to cease are false.

An Astute European
-"Scoutter's friend, or perhaps brother? It is difficult to tell apart. They seem close, bickering like families do. They speak the same language as well... Polish. Truth be told, I'm glad Scoutter brought you in. Just like him, you are hardworking and diligent. Hell... I'm surprised at the efficiency you display, and I can tell you that the others think the same. You also saw action for the first time now, as we ventured forth in haste to save folk. But we were too late, but still two managed to be rescued and the rest put to the sleep - no longer cursed to walk the Earth in eternity as a slave to a parasite. Just like Scoutter, you embrace the cause wholeheartedly - and I'm glad to consider you my friend. We've been lucky so far in most aspects of our journey. We have been more lucky than others, as we have avoided needless deaths. But I know that soon we'll face something tougher and harder situations. I have seen it before. And I'd be damned to let what happened to the others, happen to you all. We need to prepare, and I know I can count on you and the others. We may be stuck in this foreign land, but we got something most other people lack - we got each other. The unity we display is stronger than any arms or ideology in the world. Fighting for what we believe, like a brotherhood of old... for the better of all mankind. I hope I'll be able to steer us all into safety - I know, that with the help of you all, we will. Let's keep the party going... cause it ain't going anywhere soon..."-
-"You have come far. Ever since you came to us, you've grown. We have grown. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are right now. I can see it clearly that something weighs you down. It is easy to spot trauma when you've witnessed shit yourself. No doubt that is what drives you and it drives you hard. Without barely any sleep, you jump straight into action. You spend your waking hours wandering and doing whatever you can to furfill us. I just hope it won't drive you to the edge... but I guess you're like me. People like us, we don't sleep - we just dream. And we do, we're visited by the ones we've lost. Dear ones... and they remind us of our failures, even if it wasn't our fault - we take the responsibility. Trust me, I know. As my eyes shut and I find myself in the darkness, it ain't dark too long before the scenes unravel before me.. whether it is the war-torn scenes of China, or the death-muttering of someone I knew and saw. We've seen death and we've seen people die... it is normal to us. At least - until we fall asleep. For when we sleep, we are revisited by events we'd never think we'd seen again... and there's always a monster at the end, waiting for us... just when it is about to reach us, we find ourselves awake in a new hell. Whatever it is you carry, know that each action we take makes a difference... for the future. For it is the future we can change, but not the past. No matter how hard we try..."-
-"They took you... you were just behind us after we went to conduct our affairs in that housing complex. You were right behind me, but then - as I turned around, you were weren't there. It wasn't long until the others told me what happened. They took you, but the others got out. Why didn't you? I balance between the two concepts of you being alive, whilst accepting your death. It was my fault - I know that now... I dragged your ass to it, but I couldn't drag you back to safety."-
-"We both know that those who are taken are never let out, even if they are - they are not the same. I know this, for I was one of them once.. I still hope for your return, but... I am not sure anymore. You've began to visit me in my dreams, but you are always so far away. I try to run up to you, but the more I run the further I get - and then... you sink into a hole and disappear... never in time to pull you out or help you."-
Just like I couldn't help you when it happened... I am... so, so sorry Grom. I- I am... sorry.."-
-"Forgive me..."-
-"For I won't forgive myself.."-

-"It was like seeing a ghost from the past when I first saw you... it has been two years since then. It was at the trainstation in Paris during the great re-location. I doubt you saw me, but I saw you.. It reminded me of what we used to have, and the feelings only makes me wish to convulse. We were kids for god's sake! Why the hell am I so moved by something like seeing my ex-childhood friend? Perhaps its fate tying is back together. But there is no such thing as fate. I am different from what I used to be, and I'm sure you are as well. Despite this, the memories between us from before the occupation will keep my drive forth. I just hope you are still out there and well."-
-"I ain't too sure about you... you've disappeared one me before. I remember it all now... before I saw you again, all memories before the war were more or less gone... extinct. Then you came and reignited those memories. Both good and bad ones... truth be told, they triumph over those I've gotten after the occupation. Shit.... Art. How long has it been? Sixteen years? Something tells me that this is too good to be true... my brain playing tricks with me again. Whatever those fuckers did to me... fuck. But for some reason, it feels... so real?"-

-"You are not what you used to be... I know I'm not. You are a better man, Arthur. Way better person than I could ever be. I hope you make it and I'm glad to have you by my side once more. Please... let us make this count."-
-"You alive Red? Last time I saw you was beneath the city itself as the district was bombarded... when the havoc started, I ain't too sure where you went. I hope you made it out of that tomb alive.."-
-"You alive Red? Last time I saw you was beneath the city itself as the district was bombarded... when the havoc started, I ain't too sure where you went. I hope you made it out of that tomb alive.."-
-"You're alive and well, but it feels like... something is different. I ain't too sure if it's just me or if it is the district itself. Perhaps I'm starting to go crazy now, been a long time coming. We've been lucky, very lucky... we should've died when they came. Peacefully and unaware of what the future had in store for us. I know you know, but you still refuse to openly admit it. Things ain't good and they haven't been for quite some time now, but... fate will guide us, like it has so far. I just hope it won't end like a tragedy of old..."-
-"I saw you today... alive. Before I had the chance to embrace you, you were gone... somewhere. You didn't seem to feel well. But still, I'm glad that I saw you... that you're alive. Perhaps there's still hope for us, all of us."-
-"It has been a long time. But now, we've found each other. Apparently, you had been observed me; weeks after weeks, months after months. Dragged down to the bottom, I was once more pulled back up by you. After it all came crashing down.. they got most of us and I had to find it out the hard way. During those months alone, in the dark.. I pondered upon those who had died. I thought about them, their faces visiting me as I drifted away to sleep an hour or so in a corner or another better hiding spot. All those I saw, they were gone... except you.
When you found me, I wasn't like I used to. But something awoke inside me of me as my eyes spotted yours. An energy I had only seen before; both before the war and.. this. Fate is funny, isn't it? Here we are, twenty years later.. back together. And now, you don't feel like a stranger anymore.. you are yourself. You rekindle a memory of how it used to be, even if wasn't good back then. What I saw was hope, the very thing I've spent this life fighting for; only to see death and misery.
I kissed you and you kissed me, the emotions of the old rekindled with a new passion.. but I know, we aren't teens anymore. And we both share our baggage.. fuck! I shouldn't have done it, but.. I'm glad I did. I have long feared attachment and emotion, knowing first hand the pain of suffering. Everyone around me has died; those I cared about and believed. They died, while I lived.. I've out-lived what others could not and for long, I felt cursed. But now, even though I fear for you .. more than anyone else before, even more than myself.. I can't stop to think of it as not a curse, but Fate.
When I think of you, I feel life.. the life of those lost flowing through me and hope. Hope I haven't felt in a long time.
I just hope...
It will all be over soon."-

-"It's been over twenty years, but I still remember the time I spent with you. We were nothing but teens, young adults living our lives in the States. Sometimes it was good, sometimes bad. Mostly bad... our young teen love died out when things spiraled out of control. Been over a year since I met you again, after all those years... emotions flushed me over upon seeing you, upon recognising you... you were the same man, but still not. You're a better man, the one you were always supposed to be. Can't deny that I wish it had been us, that we hadn't given up - that I hadn't given up back then. But it was hard, and now - we're dragged into a novel as if written by Kafka. You've been there for me, you've helped me.. and you just can't stop pestering me about our alone time together. "-
-"Been twenty years since we shared such passion. The pure emotion of what I could only describe as, I don't know? Love? I.. it's a weird thing to feel. In a world of harm and death, in the one we live in - we're like the characters of a movie, pulled into shit only to be returned to each other. I know you still feel something for me, I can see it your eyes and I can hear it from your lips as words comes out. I try to hide it. The fact that I feel the same, for real. I've lived my entire life in a warzone. Slept on the ground, mud.. even cold grass and bodies. There was a time when I didn't fear death, but when my gaze sets upon you - a dread that I barely feel anymore descends upon me. I fear for you, for me - for us. Shit.. I didn't choose this life, but this life also gave you back. And I came back to you. Want to know what I fear? I fear dying alone, knowing that I'd leave you behind. The future we could have had, never to happen - robbed from us. I- fuckin'... I just hope, I hope.. that perhaps if we make it out of this alive. To see a new future arise out of the ashes, then perhaps... it is a future I could share with you. That is what my emotions tell me, and it scares me... because I'm not used to feel these feelings. They drive me insane, they make me.. I-.. I'm not sure. All I want to know is.. could it really be us two, again? In a better world? Or are we destined to linger with passion in our current state, not knowing whether or not the other one of us will be alive tomorrow? I long for warmth, closeness.. a sense of belonging. It is human, but... I don't know what I'd do if I'd lose you... again."-

-"We have shared a lifetime together. Once young and now once as.. older. I knew you where out there somewhere, I just knew it... but I did not think to see you here. As the Occupant decimated our last home, I thought you had left for good... on the path again. But you had been on the path, but you never left. We were bound by the same road that we marched. As I found you once more, to my surprise.... I have come to realise something. In this world, nothing makes sense - not anymore. Forces we could not bare to even describe with science has decimated us, forces of both good and evil. You area force of the good. Like an angel of some distant divine, you've watched over me. And I you.."-
-"I have come to believe we are bound by fate. Our past were marked by passion and strife, a past that have since long vanished. We are the products of the change in the laws of nature. We've had luck, lots of it. Earned through the despair we have gone through seperately in the time since we departed before the occupation. As I find you here in distant lands beyond our imagination, I have a glimmer of hope ignited in me. It makes me stronger. Strong enough to defend those I love. It is a hope that I would not survive without in these foreign lands. We are bound by fate - an unknown force that play dice with our lives. But here we still are... I just hope, the dices keep rolling in our favour."-
-"You better stay with me Arthur.. for you are the brightness of hope that grants me life. Without it - I would have been dead a long time ago. In spirit and body.."-

-"We have shared a lifetime together... when I saw you on the boat, I couldn't believe it. You hade made it with us.. but then fate parted us once more, scattered us.... I find myself now in Terminal 7. I thought I saw you.... it must have been you... but I am not sure. Sometimes, I cannot trust my eyes. I-.. suppose I shouldn't have taken it too seriously - love hurts, and the worst part of it? Never knowing what happened to you. I've lost many I care about, but you - I dare not imagine it, but sometimes I can't. This world is fucked up. We shouldn't have lived this long, there are times when reality itself is bent - and we are all just pawns in it. I really wish I had had that other life with you."-
-"But sometimes, in order to evolve - we must move on. People like us, we don't deserve it - to love. We are bound by our destiny to die, a soldier's death or the death of a martyr for what he believes. That is our lot, we fight the war - I do not if we win it, but we are surely not part of the build-up of life after. We have lost our chance. All we can do now is submit to what fate has given us..."-

The Old Believers
-"I made the mistake of judging the book after its cover, sorry father.. when I first met you, I noticed that you stood-out as the local leader for the Russian speakers of the Terminal. We, the foreigners - the colonists; forced by our Occupant to these lands to do their bidding. You represented that Warlord, Babolin - who then left and abandoned you. But something tells me that you wanted it all along. You led these people with a belief, one that is shared by God. I became a witness and participant in the things we had to do to keep ourselves safe in this brave new world. Wolfgang, the snitch; I don't like killing people- not those people, yet I'm good at it. But I understood - and so did you; just wish he didn't have to die like that... life is brutal."-
-"Your end came quicker than I expected; as we, on our way back was halted by the Occupant. We all fled, but it was obvious what had happened to you. Days turned into weeks... and that is when you know that's the end of it. After a month, no one is alive - or at least not like they had wanted. Shit.. not good at these. But I liked you.. and your people. I promise that I will keep them safe, all right? Evgen- and... who ever else may be alive."-
-"Rest now with God, my friend."-

The Masked Believer
-"Calls himself Outrider. Like some, he dresses in the uniform of our Occupant, but his struggle is for the Cause. Ain't meet anyone as mysterious as him. His face revealing nothing, even if it ain't shrouded. One thing I do know though, is that he's invested. He has the aura of one who is not afraid to become a Martyr, a symbol even after death. He's aided us and many more, he and his secret organisation of willing fighters. Glad to say he's on our side.. just wish we could've meet earlier. Perhaps some lives could have been saved... or perhaps they were required for us to meet. Fate plays dices with our lives, it has done so for a long time... especially now. I can only hope that we'll go out of this on the winning side.. but I'm not worried. We're now stronger than we've ever been before.. united, not divided. Perhaps Geneva can be freed from the grasp of the tyrants that rules over us... one day.-"
-"They say the last contact they had with you was months ago. There can be no other alternative now. You're either dead or captured, or worse. I just hope whatever - that it was quick. We might have not seen eye to eye to things, but I sure as hell can tell you that I wish you were here. Losing one of our own is a heavy blow, no matter it is who we've lost. I just hope that something good will come from all of it. And I hope, whereever you are now - that you've found your peace.

-"I've known you longer than you think.. and I know how you are, but I could never imagine you to be so ruthless. Whatever sickness that plagues you, doesn't justify the acts you've done. Even if you fight for our cause valiantly, those heroics are washed away by the brutality you show to your own. You're a great fighter, but a narcissist.. unstable and plagued by means I cannot comprehend. You were Felix brother, but I don't think he'd like what you've become.. but I don't think you're the monster you show yourself to be... you're a product of our new world. A predator, yet still a fighter and a believer. In the old world, you'd be classified as a psychopath or a sociopath... your lack of empathy is clearly seen. Still, you display emotion - overshadowed by your unstable nature itself. You are more willing to leave those who've bled for you, depending on whether it suits you or not. A complex individual, divided between a realm of normalcy and insanity. "-
-"But what you did to Sam... well... your actions show that you are no better than the Occupant we fight. Your callous nature threatens to disrupt a unity we've long sought to achieve; taking matters in your own hands as you have become the judge and executioner to those whom you deem unfit to live, when in reality - you mirror yourself. You seek death, I know that... I could see it in your eyes... along with fear. You do not deserve death by my hand, nor by the hands of anyone else... everyone deserves a second chance, a redemption. But I don't think you'll search for it if you continue down this path. And frankly... I don't care. Even if I feel sorry for you - my sympathy is starting to vanish as your true nature has emerged before my eyes. No doubt you bear a dark past, one that has served well as a tool for our Occupant until you struck your chains off. I am not yet sure whether or not you seek your own salvation, on the cost of others. It is difficult to understand a man like you, driven by a disrupted instinct that not many humans share. I just hope... that you aren't what you've shown yourself to be."-

-"Folks say you haven't been seen for a long while. Some say you are no longer with us. Whenever a person disappears for too long, they have usually fallen into something they cannot get out of. Whatever is true in your case, Luca - I just hope it was quick. The only thing your death would gain, would be respite for those who have fallen for your misdeeds and crimes. But in this world... no one is really innocent, but there is still a degree. With your absence, I finally have respite. Which ever truth it is that bears your destiny, I do truly not wish to know. It is better for things to stay as one expect it."-

-"One of the many who came for the raid.. I wouldn't say it was a success, it wasn't. Nothing gained, nothing more than equipment.. not the things that truly matter. I etched your face into my mind, like that of burning a mark into the flesh. I know you and Desmond pulled me out, shouldn't have done that... only death can pay for life, I guess. Ain't nothing to gawk about now.. what is done is done. I should be glad that you saved me, but truth be told.. feels like I'm not meant to be alive anyhow. I've cheated death where others haven't. Isn't it my time soon or are Angels like you going to pull me out of the darkness of the purgatory and pull me back into this... meat?"-
-"Konstantin. A painful memory is what bears with you. You and Desmond saved my life in our bid to escape the Hunting Party. But the price came with Desmond life. A soldier believes there is a bullet with their name on it etched onto it. That specific bullet will be what brings you to the grave. I've had many bullets sprayed at me, but none of them seem to hold my name. Instead they are etched with the names of those around me. There was a time when I longed for death, I can still say I yearn for it sometimes.. but now, I'm not sure anymore. There is nothing to do, but carry on. This is our burden, our debt. Like I told you before, we all carry it and there is no escaping it. The war is endless, it is the long war. It does not end with neither of our deaths, it will still reap on. Remember Konstantin, all statements heard that the Resistance is to cease - are all but false..

@John Halo
The one who cooks
-"As far as nicknames go, I don't doubt he lives up to his name. Chef he calls himself. He sought me out in a time of need and I embraced him. He's a fighter, I could tell that from the start. Even if our war ain't simply fought in the kitchen alone. He's provided me with his loyalty, and those who followed him before. I must say, I first doubted the first time I met him; but those doubts quickly swung away. He's the real deal. He's a survivor, like me. Like so many others. Still... I feel as if he is meant to die in this war, like me. I hope I am wrong. Already, the voices of the dead come to speak to me. Not only in my dreams, but in reality as well. The voices and faces of those I knew, who died fighting in what they believed in. They died fighting with me. I hope your voice won't be hunting my dreams, because I'd be damned if I'd let you slip away now when so many others have already paid the price. We've lost too many already, can't afford to lose any more. I hope you're safe out there... I'm still waiting for the food you were supposed to deliver, but it has been two days now. It could either mean trouble, or... I'm just over-thinking it all. I shall try to raise him upon the radio once more. And hope that his voice responds from it, and not as a whisper in the darkness of the abyss."-
-"Been a very long time now since I've seen you.. no word spoken, only rumors. Whether or not I know, I do believe you no longer walk this earth. Taken by the Occupant in their strive for our annihilation. I just hope that where-ever you are now, you'll find peace. If it hadn't been for you, I wouldn't have met those who had come to succeed in praise of you and your martyrdom. We all play our parts in the game, we don't get to make the rules - we just play along. We all perish in the end, no way out of it. All that matters is what you made do with the time you have, and you made good with that time. Rest now, friend.

-"A New Yorker.. boasts about his Mafioso past. Italian-Americans and their pride. He's a charming rogue with a rough past, no doubt. I remember New York, both from before and after... but mostly, the memories after the Occupation is what is kept. The ruins of humanity's old achievements, lingering among the hundreds of zones brought up for the massive floods of refugees. I was one of those refugees.. together with thousands of others, we fought to survive in those zones. There weren't zones, but camps.. and I fought, together with my family. Until they took me and sent me away. That's what I like about you, Pisa.. you might be just the guy I need with me. Someone who understands violence, who didn't have a non-troubling childhood. Someone with a code.. for God knows, we're into our depths with what we're doing. We're fighting a war, but another kind of war that you're used to. An endless war, against an otherwordly Occupant we never could have dreamed of. I'm used to say, 'I hope you're ready', but I think you already are. Once a made man, always a made man."-
-"I once heard, the right man in the right place can make all the difference. You are a man like that, Pisa. Despite your appearance, you got many secrets up your sleeves. An enigma, spreading its secrets to the rest. Perhaps you could have been something else, before all of this if it wasn't for the calling you had back then. We are a new family, a real one .. tasked with an enormous burden which humanity never have been bestowed upon before. Perhaps by God, or the devil himself or just by bad luck and coincidence. That do no longer matter. What matters now, is the choices we decide to do and make for our future and for those we've lost. I've lost many, no doubt you have too.. and many more will be lost along the journey till we reach our destination. But together, we'll make it far.."-

A Hound without a lease
-"A man clad in the uniform of our Occupant, drenched in blood. You carry it around like a trophy, a scalpel taken from the enemy that you brought down and whose life you ended. You are part of the cause, but something tells me that the struggle has hurt you. Something inside of you have broken, despite our brief interaction. Saw people like you in the East. The war broke them down, their minds shattered... unable to comprehend reality. During the Great War, we called in shell-shock. I bear it and many others... but something tells me that it has twisted you into something dangerous. You seek death, you relish in it. But something tells me that you don't operate alone, someone has released you from the leash to ravage and pillage. No doubt you are effective, cold-bloodied killer. Like me. But without remorse. I guess your kind is spawned by the madness that has engulfed us all. "-

The Greaser in the den
-"One of the many who have pledged their arms to the Cause. Damn... Hunter really did his bit. I've fought this war a long time, I've seen how it usually goes down. Hopefully it won't happen this time. You were the first one I found in the den after Hunter and many other's disappearance. You took it upon yourself to continue until they were to came back. They're after me now, 'Greaser'; no turning back. Vee was right about the Camears. I'll be here to help and lead, until our brothers and sisters come back.."-
-"Once more we cross paths. Truth be told, I thought you had gone down the same path as Hunter. Instead I found you together with an army. The war hasn't ended for you, nor has it for me. I'm glad to see that you're still in the struggle, keeping the legacy of those who has fallen with you. We all carry our own scars and loss. They carve into our mind like knife in butter, leaving its mark never to leave. That is the price we have to pay to fight. In the end, all of humanity we go down our path - the armed one. It is the sole option we have for the preservation of our species. I just hope you know that the cause is not built upon the spillt blood of the innocent, but of the damned and the guilty. We both know that the enemy are those on the top. But I'm unsure whether your companions, like the black hound that follows around and dictates agrees. Consciousness of our actions is what keeps us human, otherwise we'll end up transforming ourselves into something we do not wish to become. I believe in you though. When the time comes, you'll make the right choice - for we are united in this struggle together."-

The Veteran
-"West. A british man and a veteran, like me. But he claims to have fought in a different war than him. Apparently he was in active duty for the British Armed Forces during the Seven Hours War. Old man is lucky to be still here. Our Occupant do not kindly to those who have opposed them, neither before or after. Like me, I can see that military life hasn't left you. When they drafted me for the East, they didn't exactly train us. Whatever I knew came from my time in the National Guard prior to the invasion. But I learned it all in the East. In China.. India and the former states of Russia. I have seen bodies scattered upon the Yellow River in their thousands. The ruins of our cities, caused by us and our Benevolent occupant. I fought, but not as a free person. You did. Still you're able to acclaim to be still free. I broke my bondage and went the same way. There is only one way out of the path I've chosen. Needless to say, in the end, we will both either live long enough to see our strive victory, or die in the progress of it. Something tells me that death is the eventual end for us. But that does not mean we've been given a chance to contribute to our victory. For in the end, I believe us to be the winners.
-"I have not seen you... and when we left i24 the sole thing I could think of was whether or not you were still alive in there... in the burning and destroyed city of our Occupant. I admired you, a veteran from another... your struggle had started long before mine. And no matter how much I wish for you to be alive, I realise that I cannot live in doubt nor in a lie. I know that you have perished, I can only hope it was quick. A soldier's death in battle. I shall remember you, West... and tell the world of you. Rest now, soldier. We'll meet each other again soon..."-

Unlike running, the rest of us; we helped each other, and we helped others doing so. You're either dead, or you were an infiltrator. You remind me of myself; whether you're a believer or not, truly.. you seem to know what it really is about. Or at least you will. It takes a while to decompress all of it. You have to experience it by your own to truly know it. That is - if you're still alive.. I ventured up to the surface, armed and ready to embrace death by my own choosing. Got stopped by that Rook' fella'. Honest to God, jesus.. the irony? If he hadn't come, it do what you'd do - just not expecting myself to live long enough to get caught. Now, it feels like.. there is something else. Something pulling me back to my feet and down to Earth. Truth be told, Kat.. I hope you made it out alive. I know they've made you talk, they always make you talk.. you can't escape it. No.. at least not when they start to bring out the things.. the injections. But now, it is hollow.. although your face bears resemblance, I haven't seen you since then, when the Hunters came after us. Perhaps I shouldn't be blamin' you for that. Nothing ain't what it used to be, hard to keep track when it is all a big mass. Seen too much shit now lately, but ain't gonna lie.. I could use a friend. And as desperate as it sounds, you were his friend - therefore you are also mine.. guess us beggars can't be choosers in these times, right? I just hope I won't lead you to the grave.. lots of folks who trusted me ended up there. But... you know what is worse than not fearing anything? Truth be told, I'm ready for it... feels like I've been waiting my whole life for it to come. The question is... are you ready?-
Irony... isn't it? I still remember your mask, every detail of it. Our weapons aimed at each other; I offered peace... but you wouldn't take it. I made it out alive, with a token from you. As I sat alone with my wounds, I swore revenge... I remember it all. But... there is something that tells me you've got it worse somehow. There is something about you that's different from the other Collaborators... perhaps it is because you're still an outcast, never going to be embraced into the fold fully. You're like me, a fighter and a believer. We were both plunged into this chaos together, but instead of standing idle and do nothing - we've choosen to take action. I once knew a man going by the name same, he died... part of the Liberation Front. Like so many others, they've plucked us off one by one, but... something tells me that change is in the air, something is happening. The infestation that has spread will not stop beyond Industrial 17; it will continue to grow and fester. But y'know? We'll fix it... together. We're in this struggle, not disjointed but united.... not fragmented, but organised.

I know you think you've put the fight behind you, but trust me... you haven't. Not anymore. Shit.. coming to think of it. Would you even recognise me? Remember me? You know that, Khan.."-
-"It has been a long time. Truth be told, I thought they did you in a long time ago. But you proved me wrong. Consider my surprise as I found you among us who'd storm the prison. Our failed assault on the garrison quickly turned into a success as we brazed the walls of the old facility before freeing our friends. Then, after we had done - you once again disappeared on me. This entire time, the focus of staying alive held one in absolute control. Unable to talk to you, and now - with you gone, impossible. There is much that I need to tell you. Perhaps.. you'd even be eager to aid me in what is to come. Whatever the case, you are more than meets the eye. Many others have perished, yet here you still are. Where others have given their life, we remain. I just wonder - for how much longer?"-

The purpose that the human race is enslaved to the occupant who strives our total subjugation. All it takes is one spark and then all of it envelopes into flames. I hope I'm right about trusting you... but something tells me I am. Causality, every action has a reaction. "-

I myself, feel like I die everytime I close my eyes, but still I keep waking up. These dreams are horrible, the sensation of death and despair... it is a fuel and a tinder at the same time. Hope that all of this is going to change. But at the same time, the fear eludes me and makes me nauseous. It is a feeling I have felt before, to those I come close.. and I know the feeling of loss. It is a dreadful one.. but for some reason, I can't stop... I can't stop being human. I can not do it. Despite all my attempts, the emotions keeps coming up like an active volcano. You think that after all we've been through, cynicism and nihilism is all that remains for us.. but it is the opposite. You never stop feeling, never... you just learn to control it. No matter how many you see die, maimed or beaten... you won't grow cold. You only get used to it. It feels like I have died four times and each time, when I am about to wake up - I can feel my soul leaving my body, only for it to be dragged back into my body below. I'm unsure whether I can trust you still, but something inside me tells I can... and if there's something I always trust, it is my instinct. I should try to reach out to you... let's just hope you are as welcoming to it as I am."-

A last cling of hope
-"I've met many people in my life, but none quite as you. Like a little-brother, you clung to him like me. To Desmond. You were there with me, both when we found him and when we lost him. Funny, isn't it? The Passion of Christ? Nothing holy with pain... it only leaves you dulled and empty. Everyone and everything I once knew, is gone.. and I'm left alone to walk the field strewn with the dead faces of those who went. We both were left here. I used to fear death; but now.. I don't feel a thing. Forming bonds are dangerous, but it is human nature. We've shared our pain in purgatory together; in memory of the ones we lost. Soon the memory will fade and we will be left alone, with nothing but the pain.
-"So, you've returned. Both you and Konstantin, those who shared the death of Desmond with me. We still linger in life, while others die. You're a believer, do you understand the endless war? I think you do and I'm glad to see you back. I know now, that our chances of success will increase greatly. The martyrs of the past sings choirs in the realm of the dead for our success, let us entertain them a bit more. Remember Yuri, even in your darkest time; the war never ceases, the war is endless... and all statements that resistance is to cease, are false. We have a debt.. a debt to all of those who came before us. To those who died, when we didn't. And I know, we both will pay our debts. There is no other option, no alternative. The life of those we held dear awaits for us, but they'll have to wait a bit longer. For we are bringing chaos to the Enemy."-
You returned like the prodigal son in the bible. But now you've disappeared on me and all of us once more. I wonder where you are, brother in arms. I last saw you when we hid from Overwatch, those who hunt us everyday and by the minute. Did they catch you? I hope not, but if they did - I know you wouldn't give up without a fight, without the bodies of the Occupant piling upon each other before they'd grasp you within your dying breath. Death is the preferable alternative to slavery, but only a death made with a meaning. That meaning is resistance, total action and subversion against the state that seeks our demise. I hope you are still out there, I could use you by my side now. Desmond vouched for you with his dying breathe, and I won't let his legacy be tarnished. I hope I'll find you. So that we can continue our goal - the only goal worth having. The total war against the Occupant.
-"Been some time now.. truth is, without you here it has become clear. We both knew the truth about it all in the end, the only way for this to end is the same for everyone. Ain't nothing to escape it; it came for you, it came for Felix and so many, many more of us. Each day is but a survival, knowing that it could be your red letter day, the end of all ends - when time stops ticking and your last remaining thought is 'Have I done enough?' only to feel the relief of the fact that - we have. Our deaths become icons for the future, Martyrs for a Cause inspires the many, and the few. Know this, my friend - I await my own day, for I know it will end knowing that I had done everytime in my power, to make a difference. Rest assured, that you have; my friend, and my brother Yuri. You are one of many who shall now visit me in my dreams, for death is not the end. Don't worry my friend, rest now."-

-"Samurai she calls herself. Met her during our ardous journey into this valley. She carries secrets, that's for certain. Yet she emit a certain aura... she reminds me of Alys, but more forthcoming and speaks her mind. They are the same, but still not. Perhaps a mix between Celt the Conscript and Alys is a more accurate assessment. I asked her to join me and the others, she accepted. We'll keep her safe and in return she will strive us forth in the struggle against the Occupant that strives forth to make our days miserable. We fight for a higher purpose, the survival of our species in an endless war that can only end in two days - with our success, or our total annihilation. The only thing that matters is the struggle, for if we do not put our strength to it, then we might as well have lost this war already.."-
-"First we lost Poelking... and now we've lost you. You were an energetic youngerst, a kid barely as old as Alys. Yet you were butchered by the same people that we fight alongside with and call our brothers-in-arms. What Luca did to you can never be justified, no matter of a hard-ass you were to him. I know you saw him more of like a brother that you could annoy playfully. But Luca did not see the same. His unstable nature led to your demise, in the most gruesome way possible. I've seen the spot where they killed you... held down, before the hatchet struck your neck as he decapitated you like a savage... who does that? To a kid? A young woman.. I knew Luca was unstable, but I never thought him possible of such heinous acts. You deserved better, a lot better. We all have our flaws, but no one deserves to die like that... in terror and pain. He will pay for it, but not by my hand... fate punishes the wicked the harshest and most cruel ways possible. Besides, I believe your killer is in a worse hell alive than dead. I am sorry that I wasn't there, yet another one I have failed to help. A lingering darkness looms over me, as our numbers grow shorter by each passing day... the unity we once displayed, shattered by the acts of one man alone. I know what our kind is capable of, but I never thought one of our own would be the one to end your life. I just hope, that the pain and suffering you felt when it was happening was washed away just as quick as death sunk in. Now I know that you shall rest, while we toil. But you've done your part, and I know you know that. Rest now, my friend... a soldier does not deserve the death you were granted - and I know your murderer won't gain the same. Now your face shall visit me in my dreams, like so many others that I have let down..."-

-"Glad you raised you arms and gave up when I came towards you. Shitty thing they do, strapping bombs to you in order for you to be obedient. You were afraid of me, but something tells me you knew we wouldn't hurt you. As I brought you back and told you my name, and you yours - it struck a chord with me. I had heard it before, a very long time ago. And now, you find yourself here in the midst of the struggle once more. Like me, you were forced to serve our Occupant - but now, we're both fighters of the real struggle. You are one of us, otherwise you wouldn't be with that penal squad. But now, there's no going back never again. Your life is dedicated to the Cause, just like mine. And we will fight till the end."-
-"As we stood within the ruins of Geneva, the graveyard it now is. Memories of old linger, as both of us had been here before. Now there was nothing more but death. Seeking my advice, human to human.. our experiences in life having been close to the same. You sought a way out of the pain in your head. The pain is always there.. it never goes away."-
-"Either it breaks you, or it fuels you... let it fuel you. The memories of those once loved and liked, now gone - let your purpose be to carry their legacy. Like I told you, the sole purpose of our existance now is simply to stand up straight and never to bend. We will live with our traumas for the rest of the time we have left. Whether or not one us will be alive to see the end of this, it will always remain. But it is our responsibility - our purpose, to keep going for those we have lost or left behind. For if we do not, then their sacrifice and the pain was all for nothing."-
-"This war is eternal, not just in facts.. the war will never leave us, even if it were to stop today. It will always linger with us, only thing we can do now is embrace is and allow ourselves to become what we were supposed to be - we adapt, we survive and we evolve. Remember that, Poelking .. and don't let the memories of old haunt you. Let them fill you with rage if need be and let yourself evolve to what nature and fate has intended for us.."-

-"You've started to come over more often. Our discussions often the same, our views somewhat differs but our alignment in what we see to be truth has never been different. You've been broken by what you have seen, who else wouldn't? Like Alys, you have never experienced the freedom we had before the occupation. You never had the chance to experience a normal life, a normal childhood. Grpwm up in the Echelon program, you were molded by the Occupant to see their worldview."-
- "Yet still you fight, but you don't truly understand what it is you are fighting for. It is difficult to explain it. What we once had is nothing more but a remnant that echoes in the old world. But that does not mean that we are to bow down and give up. No.. like me, you've fought their war for too long. Now you are fighting your own war. You are fighting it because you know, as well as I do, that there is no other option. To resist is not defiance, it is a natural reaction to survival. We do what we must, our minds wired and programmed according to the evolutionary cycle. We have the freedom to think and act, but it won't be much longer until the organical programming inside of us is replaced with something much more sinister. You are young, and still - you fight because you have to, you want to - you must. And when this is all over, your generation will be the ones to reshape our world. -"I was in the Zen garden, standing inside the old Shinto temple. As I closed my eyes and embraced the peace of tranquility, I heard your voice on the radio as it stutter silently. I now regret that I did not answer you on that radio when I had the chance, instead.. I,-... perhaps, if I had picked up the radio to answer, it wouldn't have happened. What if I had done a simple thing and just lift up the radio and ask for you to come and meet me, or just... something. Then perhaps the situation would have been different? I know truly deep inside, that it was neither your nor my own fault. Yet I find myself in blame over what I heard later. I understood that once I tried to raise you and you didn't answer - something was wrong. I raised you several times on the radio, but no answer... that is when a mutual friend of ours told me what she had witnessed and I knew you wouldn't walk away from it alive. Only days prior we had spoken about a variety of things, as you came for me for help. We talked... and talked. I spoke.. of a lot of things. But I never knew it would have happened this quick. Perhaps it was something I said that made you easen up. I know I shouldn't blame myself, but I do.. because, you were one of us. And it was me you sought help from. If only I had picked that radio up to answer you, even if it was nothing... there are many things I blame myself for. Too many.."-
-"We both know they don't go easy on us, the ones they've had in their claws once just to slip away. You weren't given the privilege of a quick death, no.. not if they are dragging you into the nexus, their stronghold and castle. I knew you back in Geneva, but you didn't know me fully until I helped you from the bondage of enslavement you found yourself in once more. You were young, much younger than me.. and you were the future of mankind, you and Alys. Now - perhaps thanks to me, and my inability to aid those I care about - you are no longer with us. I know.. I should not blame myself, but still I can't help to feel guilty. I strive to be strong, but I am not sure if I can become... stronger. I know now that the only way I can help you, is to uphold your memory, your legacy. You did not deserve what happened to you, no.. you did not. I should have called out for you when you raised us on the radio, but I did not.. that is something I'm going to live with until it is my time to go. And we both know, that will be sooner rather than later."-

And I've seen what they do to people like us. No amount of information will spare you from the inevitable. This last round, is for me and me alone. And I know when the time is right, I will be ready for it - I yearn for the darkness... perhaps I will see you there, and everyone else. But until then, I have to keep going forward."-

-"Calls himself Fixer. Seems to know Samurai and Scoutter, having befriended them from before. He seems like a womanizer unable to keep his hands from the bottle. But there is something about him, something good. Not many people bear that sort of empathy for others to feel. But I can feel it. We'll see about him becoming part of the bigger picture. Let's just not hope that the booze gets in the way. But.. sometimes the only thing you can do is to become numb to avoid feeling all these feelings... but once the numbness goes away - it is often much worse. I strive forth with my own trauma, by doing the only thing I can do... keep fighting and carry the memories of the fallen and dead with me, forever. For there is no higher purpose for humanity than to strive for survival, even in our most darkest hour. He also seems to have it in for me, or perhaps all the women he meet... a womanizer in this day of age? Heh.. who could've expected that."-
-"I'm still not sure what happened.. but you're dead now. You and your friend Mowgli. I'm not sure what sort of argument or event that transpired that allowed for it to happen. But I believe the bottle was your worst enemy of them all. Your fight with Luca ended up with you an Mowgli dead. Your friend died on the spot, whilst a tribunal sentenced you to death for what had transpired. I'm afraid that such in-fighting will continue if we are not careful. Perhaps... it could have been avoided, if only others had taken note of it. Arguing with a man like Luca, or Cash as they call him - while intoxicated could only end one way. An argument between an alcoholic and a narcissist can only end one way. This time, the narcissist survived. I blame both of you for what happened, but still not. Your abuse of alcohol led you to this, whilst Luca's illness with his mental state added fuel to the fire. I heard they buried your body alongside Mowgli somewhere, unmarked. I hope that some rest can be befallen upon you and your friend now, and that a tragedy like this will never happen again. We're busy enough fighting one enemy, there's no time for us to fight each other. But now you have been laid to rest. A quick death, not everyone is so lucky. Perhaps we shall meet again, above the clouds when my time comes. I know the others wait for me up there, and so do you now - and your friend. Whatever happened, whoever started it - it does not matter. Two lives were lost. Wasted and tossed away. Samurai blames herself for it, I just hope that my talk with her made her see it for what it was. Rest now, friend..

-"Chaos Theory indicates rational determinism in a chaotic state of random states and disorders. You are the definition of it, chaos that brings order. I still remember the first time you stumbled upon me. You swore your oath to the cause and you rose again like an equestrian knight. If I had two swords, I'd dub you - but a handshake is suffice to solidify a bond of humanity between two. You are my sword, as well as my pen. You are symbol of which we all should strive for. A believer in the cause, one who is ready to strive for the betterment of all and ready to sacrifice everything for what is right. People like you are what solidifies our strength and position. You are, like the rest of our people, one who seeks to end the subjugation of our race. You may not know the future which lies ahead, but I could tell you. It is a future of enslavement, on an eternal scale. Stripped of all that makes us human. Don't forget that - you're a soldier of the endless war, a martyr to the cause and a fighter who shall never strive to surrender. You are chaos and order, merged together into the perfect weapon against those who seek us harm. Napoleon was right guiding you to me, for together we shall make the impossible possible."-
-"We all came to bust you out. We all made it out, but you didn't. I'm sorry that I failed you Winston. There are many people I have failed and I swore to myself that I would never let that happen. But I realise now, that I cannot control fate itself. But still, I bear the responsibility - even if I shouldn't. We fought our way into the prison, only to have a tougher fight to get out. I lost sight of you in the chaos that ensued and as others retreated, I waited for you till I no longer couldn't. The prison became swarmed with reinforcements of the Occupant and I had to make my swift retreat from it. I stood in the cave and waited... an hour passed, then another... that's when I realised that you were no longer with us. Even if your body is missing, I have your card... and your medal. Symbols granted to you by our Occupant, now symbols of hope and martyrdom. These I shall bury, as we lay your spirit to rest. I am sorry that I failed you Winston. I'm so sorry.."-

Had to endure the hospitality of our Benefactors in a friendly conversation before having my ass hauled off to containment. The isolation and darkness of that place... it tears at you, whether you want to or not. Never saw you, never thought of you as alive until yesterday... when you passed me by, like a ghost of my past. Are you still loyal to the cause? Or are you not? Only one thing is brought upon my mind - Vengeance. We got too close, you're never supposed to do that - but we did. A father, to a sea of orphans and I was one of them. But now.. I am but an orphan again. God is dead - he died with you. There is nothing holding me back now."-
-"You visit me in my dreams sometimes... the old memories linger. When I wake up, I still think you're here.. until realization sunks in. You're gone... always gone. Sometimes, I pray.. even though I never believed in God; I think I'm starting to now. The nightmares have disappeared, I think.. when I dream, I see you... Gaz... Scav and everyone else we lost. Then I wake up, standing here as the last one of many. I won't let your sacrifices be in vain.."-
-"It has been a long time now. But it still feels like it was yesterday I last saw you. Sometimes, I catch a glimpse of you by the side of my eye; I strive forth to call for you - only to realise that you are no longer here. You visit me in my dreams, a face I remember clearly - yet I still cannot comprehend that you are gone. Around my neck is the crucifix that you once wore, just my vain attempt to keep you close... because for some reason, it feels good to have it. I was not much of a believer, nor am I sure if I am one now... but I believe, in my way. And I believe that you're still here, keeping an eye on me. You and everyone else that once was. Thinking back at it makes me grief, but I am not allowed the luxuary of sorrow. I got folks depending on me... I need to stay strong, even when I am not. I fain strength, when weakness is all that I feel. But I cannot give up - I contemplate the moment in the garden sometimes, allowing your own crucifixion to happen and leave this world. But I do not have it in me... I do not know if it is because I fear death, or if I fear a death brought by my own hands... I know why. I fear death because of those I would leave behind... I cannot allow it to happen, not yet. But I know death is coming... it comes for us all. I just need... to make sure everyone is ready - and then I will pass to the otherside.

You were by my side, we hunted and survived together - we came to understand one another... after we made it out we lost touch. The experiences down below changed me, I was on my own... but I'm back now. I hope I still can find you now and that it ain't too late.."-
-"You've passed... Vee told me. I hope it was quick and that you didn't get to suffer. We do not get to choose when and where, we don't own that luxuary. But at least we can give it all we've got when time truly comes. I believe you got yours, but it is never enough is it... don't worry, we'll make it happen. For you and all the others we've lost along the way..."-

We ain't gonna stop halfway. We're going to have to become badasses and monsters. Trush me.. it will feel bad, but then it won't. I've seen folks die, and so have you.. you'll get used to it, but never fully."-

The inner-core of energy that synergizes itself to manifest into something greater. Ain't a bad lookin' fella neither for having seen and done things not many else do. But I've seen enough to know that emotions will be what gets one killed. Let's just try to stick together, all right?"

Trapped in the eternal darkness of that damp cell, nothing but the memories of us and the rest is what kept me going. Now the only thing that comes to mind when I hear your name is anger... anger and regret. For I lost you when you thought you had lost me. I shouldn't blame myself but still... I do and I know I always will. Fuck... I'm fuckin' pathetic. Sitting here and thinking about it... the future we could have had together if things weren't the way it was... shit. You want to know why you kept me going in my darkest hour? I thought about us and the future. It was a bright one.. I mean.. a fantasy. But still strong enough to make me endure the things I had to witness there. And now you're gone. You kept me alive, but I couldn't keep you.."

Your mental state is clearly defined by the trauma of the past, your current state is nothing more than your brain trying to comprehend and function at the same time. Guess it had to create two other personalities in order for you to survive in this world. That, however, I cannot envy you for. Despite all the shit I've seen, it haven't brought me to the loony bin - yet."-

You always feel lonely, no matter what you do and seek - there is nothing to fill the void. We learn to live with it. There is something about you... these scars of yours deep within you, I can see them and I can relate to them. I ain't of the spiritual type, but I have this strange feeling of some sort of connection between us. I hope you stand with us once you meet the rest of the team.."-

Quotes
"Sometimes it feels like I've died six times... Or more. And then I wake up, finding myself in this place once more. Heaven or Hell, Elysium... Or just the deep dark - seems like they've banned me. Damned forever to walk this Earth, or at least... Until I've done my part. Used to be a time when I wasn't scared of death, not at all... I had seen it too many times. But now? Nothing frightens me more than death itself. But not dying itself, but leaving those who need me behind."
-
"It does.. and that is what it is like to be human. That is the burden we carry.. but truth be told? I'd rather feel these emotions, however much I hate 'em or fear them... losing the ones you care about. They are the reason why we're here.. without them, we are nothing. We wouldn't be here. It is a double-edged sword... the pain of losing someone is equal to the happiness of getting to know them. But we don't forge our own destiny, we just make use of what we have... and what we decide to do with the time we're given."
-
"Learned it from those who have passed. You start to contemplate the moment in the Garden.. and realise that the truth and meaning of all was right in front of you the whole time. Then you hate yourself for not seeing it the first time... then you realise, you wouldn't be able to open your eyes to the truth if it wasn't for what has happened. Yeah... once you reach a certain level of knowing, things look different from when you started. That is how life teaches us. Can't win before you lose, nor lose before you win. Goes both ways.. everything has a price."
-
"You tell me.. dragged me here like you were preparing the firing squad. But I know you're better than that, -... And trust me, there's shit happening."
