Minimum two paragraph backstory on the event:
The Combine is in desperate need for logistical support because of their crumbling status, they need things to get delivered on time every time, and City 50 is the city responsible for bearing the logistical nightmare the Combine has on earth. At Storage Depot A-1, things have been tense, work hours have increased significantly and it seems every high ranking manager is on edge about something. Not a single regular employee knows about the Combine's fall from grace, all they know is that something bad must be happening. The Combine direct an order for all supplies inside of the warehouses to go to their respective destinations immediately, the logistics division employees have to move everything out with no orders for anything coming in. The Director also wants them to start handling work from other departments not even close to logistics.
Your goal is to find out why you are locked in here, what is happening on the outside, and most importantly how to survive this.

If you are wondering, I am trying to be purposefully vague about the general situation.

One fateful day, a large crashing noise is heard and an announcement goes over the internal PA system.
"Attention employees. Remain calm and remember to finish all tasks before heading to the reception area."
The employees find the boss in the reception area as promised. The event starts.

Director - 1/1
The Director; the leader of the employees, will he still lead the workers after the great crash? Not much is known about Director doings in the logistical division. Allegedly the Directors work relaxing ten hour days on weekends.

Stan Baker is your Director, he's old, American, and loyal to the Combine- he follows their orders, that's all you really know about him. You haven't seen his office unless you are the secretary or manager.

Manager - 0/1
The overworked human who gets to deal with employee complaints and concerns. This higher rank brings the message from the boss down to the lowly employees and also deals with payment concerns in credits; both socially and monetarily. If anything goes wrong with those they manage both them and the employee gets punished. Rewards for this burden? An office on the management floor and great pay. Depending on how this manager treats their employees they are loved or hated. They may be above but they are still a desk jockey.

Secretary - 0/1
Have you ever wondered what the reward for obedience and high performance is? More work and a larger desk where more people can see you. Gossip and drama are mandatory parts of the job- even if you hate it. While the destruction is horrible, the secretary actually gets a break not having to deal with medaling bureaucrats looking for errors in the piles of files written by the office workers. The secretary works much harder for slightly more pay, it doesn't really matter now that nobody can get their rations. Most people are to naturally trust the secretary.

Worker - 0/6
They are paid enough to work and have considerably good jobs for City 50, the long hours are draining to most and with an average work time of fifteen hours a day, they aren't really social butterflies- nor do they get a lot of free time with the lunch time set by the manager. They write reports and check if every package is going to the right place and is up to code, they get checked by bureaucrats- so don't think about making a wrong report or code finding or you'll face some unpaid overtime and possible ration docking. You may be wondering; why would anyone want to work this horrible, horrible job. The money? Maybe. The loyalist status? Most likely. What about the amazing dress code they are required by their Director to wear the loyalist suits provided by him- or- the loyalist suit provided by yourself.

Intern - 0/2
To get to such a luxurious life of the regular employee you must work extremely hard as an intern. Most employees are sympathetic to interns because they were most likely interns(unless directly given a job offer from managers/directors). The bosses most likely don't remember their intern days and bully the interns; y'know, "Get me a coffee!"- if we still have coffee left. Basically the same as a worker- just not paid.

Janitor - 0/1
The bottom of the metaphorical totem pole; they clean for low pay. Employees do not respect janitors in the slightest for their "easy going ways", mainly because they work leisurely ten hour days. This extremely unlucky janitor just got stuck in your workplace at the time of the great office cave-in. The janitor CAN be a vortigaunt.

Please speak with me privately about playing temporary actors or anything like that.

Workshop Content (collection including map, NPCs, unique tools/weapons, etc): N/A-- we don't really need one past the Willard content, rubble props are in the regular pack, same with zombies that may be used.
Map (Workshop link & ID, like gm_flatgrass): (we only use about half of the map, it's really small) I also built an entire complex for the event so...

If your backstory does not cover the following questions, please answer them.

Do you wish to spearhead the project if your concept is accepted? (You will run the event alongside the SS team): Sure.

Is this concept set in the Half-Life universe?: Yes.

Will this concept follow Willard's Timeline?: Yes.

Will this concept affect the main server?: No. Not much other than a slight logistical slow down for the Combine.

Where on the WN lore map - https://willard.network/forums/pages/map/ (if anywhere) would this effect, and to what severity?:1764616707197.png
Not much, maybe at most add something like "crumbling offices"

Do you have any SS members vouching for the event?: No, but if anyone would like to, please pledge your allegiance in the comments to me.

You may be wondering why I chose the name I did; A1 is the name of the depot, B30 is building 30, Section 2 is the section where we are.

ASK ANY QUESTIONS TO ME OR IN THE COMMENTS!!!

Character name: Frank Glass

Role: Intern

Backstory: Frank Glass knows there's something wrong with society. He can feel it in his bones. Frank Glass is entirely aware that Dr. Breen has fabricated evidence of extra terrestrials and that the events of the Seven Hour War were the work of a PMC company lead by an Artificial Intelligence known as Overwatch AI taking over the planet to convert it into a planet sized Superconductor.

The portals? That's just lasers. The aliens? Simply biological experiments. Portal storms? Lasers and secret earthquake machines. Still though, even though Frank Glass knows the truth he keeps his head down, bouncing between job to job to try and keep the so called Combine off his back as best he can. Recently he found himself at the lower rungs of another logistical job, helping the secret machine overlord continue it's evil work.

"Everyone at the office seems nervous. We're running out of food. It's all part of Overwatch's plan."

Can I smuggle a gun and shoot the director

Can I smuggle a gun and shoot the director
Why of course- just assuming your an intern because employees are more loyal to the Combine.
You are sacrificing your ability to bring food and drink however.

"What's that about a collapse? Anti-Citizen One? Yeah, that's just what they want people to think. It's all part of Overwatch's plan..."

Honestly grand, but the lower rung employees and interns aren't supposed to know about collapse and the Anti-Citizen One because of their hyper-sheltered conditions. I would love taking you because as soon as you figure out the collapse I'd imagine "God damn it... I knew it! They were out for me and they figured out!"
