Rebel Campaign, Act 1, Stage 1, Breaking the Stem
The Plan, to Steal CIC supplies and pose as an Infestation control team with valid credentials for an OTA Escort and clear the path Westward out of Geneva for further expeditions.
Breaking the Stem was a Rebel Operation conducted between the 23rd of January and February the 16th and consisted of Multiple events and ending in an Expedition.
Resistance Forces hit a CWU warehouse on January the 23rd and managed to stow away with a number of Infestation Control supplies and uniforms, though one third of the Materials were lost the rebels managed to scratch their way back from that loss through clandestine means and undercover agents.
Unfortunately, before the proper ID's could be injected into the Citizen Registry a high ranking official was assassinated, this drew scrutiny towards the city and locked down any data access points that the resistance could of used. As a result, they only had one option left under their sleeve... To go loud, or go home. However, the lack of supplies in City 24 have been felt for a while, and the Resistance decided that it needed to push out and open up new avenues of Supply and Movement.
This Culminated in the push into the City 24 Quarantine Zone, an area Ravaged by the Antlion invasion of the long past. The corpse of Infestation DX-509 playing host to many lifeforms of Xenian origin... But was it really a Corpse? Energies had stirred within the decaying district of the city and new life had been surged into this dying beast. A Thanatos level Infestation.
The Rebels, Armed with their Infestation Control Supplies and irregular weapons took to the task, fighting back the Infestation growth and eliminating their cores so that the areas would no longer be blocked.... However, they were not alone. An Overwatch Containment team had been deployed to the area, and the two sides came face to face at the first Thanatos Embryo, both sides squared up and exchanged fire before.... The barriers went up... A sacrifice had been made..... A Tyrant, had been Entreated.
Cut off from each other by barriers of an Unknown origin and as the Ritual had accidentally been activated by the Trans Human forces, The resistance was able to remove the Core that was present at the location before falling back and attempting another angle for the next objective.
It is unknown what happened to the Transhuman Team during the Ritual, but they forced their way out of another route and detonated an explosive device in the ritual area, the crystals smashed and the presence dissipated! But was it? A single crystal remained, and after the Overwatch team had evacuated the area, their mission complete, a Vort able to retrieve this Crystal Seedling.... The Fiilixian Shard. What will become of it, no one knows.
The Second Thanatos Entity was dealt with cleanly and efficiently, the OTA no longer present to be a threat, and with the Scout found the Rebels succeeded in their mission and returned back towards the Industrial Zone once more.

A special thanks to all the staff that helped me with Act One Stage One, I will be taking a couple of weeks break before beginning work on Stage 2, but you will be expecting a few events before that starts taking place.
