This is not that kind of a suggestion, but if or when a group of people grows large enough, and strong enough in guns and medics and decide to launch a coordinated assault towards the nexus or something, general uprising (ultra rare case scenario), would the staff and event team agree to buff them up by letting people pick up gear and join the fight in NLR, so half the server isnt on their OTA's getting their miniguns and incendiary grenades for TBC and insta kill them as they see one guy with an M16, but allow them to prepare and whatnot, get what i mean. The same it was with the D47 event.

i mean
a COMPLETELY player organized and prepared uprising wouldn't need a lot of staff help (especially in terms of gear)
but itd be helpful considering TBC would be definitely turned off

there will certainly be problems such as the OTA trying to powerhungry and tryhard success, so for atleast half of such event given how far they get would depend on their success or failure

and of course what i said, let outside people join in NLR and lets call them 'apart of x rebel group that is very big' and not the characters themselves

im up for staff helping in more passive stuff
meds, supplies that arent necessarily weapons (but ammo maybe)
i just dont like the idea of admin characters massively supporting rebel events

It's something that would require incredible planning, tons of resources and bodies, as well as making sure the information of the assault isn't leaked or the like. Lots'O variables and unpredictability is what makes something like this an extremely rare case (And a very interesting event). But i'm pretty sure staff would want to keep their hands out of it as much as possible (Obviously other than to make sure rules and such are enforced) and let the players really make this event flow.
Also, IMO having ppl join and fight after NLR has taken effect for them would completely disregard the reason for it being established in the first place. Now if citizens or the like who didn't start out in the fighting joins after it, picking up weapons and equipment I'd feel like that's fine primarily because it's up to them if they decide to rise up as well or back down and submit.

But being given the supplies breaks the idea that the rebels who are plotting this uprising, those who should be planning and supplying the operation IC, are getting OOC help and are being rushed into a situation that they aren't ready for.

i think what i said sort of works with the fact
UU factions can just get more stuff very quick (almost instantly) unlike rebels, which have to get it thru events/ rob UU factions (or alternatively craft it)
they dont have any limits really

Rare case scenario of course, but if one is to happen i'd like the OTA not completely obliterate the rebel side and thats the end of it, people should be free to rise up and pick up a gun, though if not one of the fighters with the plan in mind, let them NLR if they die rising up.

Like i said, for the first half of such event, rebellion goes, admin fuel the rebellions flame, ota and cps do their thing, people are allowed to revolt and if they die they get NLR, og invaders get PK'd, and then leave their flame to burn and see what happens, do they win or not?

lets just not think about something that'll happen in like 5 months
staff and CM's will prolly get a understanding by then on why throwing OTA at every rebel is not good for the server

I just think of OP OTA and try to figure out how canonically the combine loses.

Not really the place for this sorta thing, there's a event suggestion channel / talk to story team about it
