AI Art and HL2RP

I see frequently, AI art being used by some users and shamed by others.
What are your thoughts on the usage of AI art in HL2RP?
 
I think hamburgers and cheeseburgers go well with fries.
 
We have a great amount of amazing content creators on the community, but I feel AI Art will undermine their efforts and put people into positions that they'd choose something generated for quickness rather than committed by the hands of users who put sheer dedication and passion into their projects.

I don't usually mind it, given if it's good for events and advertisements and such, but AI generated content for Half Life will always be inferior to that of the common man. Therefore I'd prefer the pros to do it themselves and get better each time.

I don't really think it'll undermine much. AI art and real art are very easy to distinguish.

right now, but what about in a year? two years? ai art's making some pretty big leaps and anyone with a few bucks to spare can get midjourney, which is pretty solid when it comes to making art

Matter of use and choice. Perception isn't the problem. It's the action of portrayal and who endorses what.
 
When it comes to creating character portraits, AI offers a cost-effective solution that's accessible to everyone. Instead of hiring models, AI can generate customised images quickly and easily. The technology is beneficial, but there's a concern that when it becomes so realistic that it's hard to tell AI-generated images apart from real ones. Despite this, I personally appreciate AI's capabilities for creating portraits.
 
If it looks good I don't think people would care, but thing is more often than not the AI art looks bad

And I think what this dude here referring to is just people using AI art for their bios, and I think that's wacky cause some of them look fucking horrible

The AI generated portrait most likely won't be a match of a real person. So that's a bonus.
Do you really want to join a HL2RP server and see Andrew Tate on a wall as "District Administrator"

Your average WN char bio art looks like someone made a person out of plastic and then smeared it in glitter. Stuf looks so bad sometimes that it's downright hilarious.
