"Patch up, run, go in - and out. No cost too great. Do everything to survive."
"I slipped once, I can't afford to do it again."
- General Information -

Full name: Alletia Tender
Nickname: "Scavenger"
Gender: Female
Age: 31
Physical state: Average. More agile than most but significantly weaker when forced to use raw strength.
Mental state:
Shattered. After spending multiple days in the Overwatch Cardinal Recusantory Facility and having her mind completely taken over by an unknown entity, Alletia is nowhere near sane. Permanent damage had to leave a print somewhere and thus made her even more frantic about her own survival...

- Personality -

Loner
Having accomplished nearly everything by herself has turned Alletia into a lone wolf. While she prefers to have someone watch her back on life-endangering expeditions, she's distrustful of joining organized groups.

Tough act
Knowing well that all sorts of bandits and thugs only await an opportunity to strike, she has developed a certain act of appearing tough, while in reality - she's not. Rarely so will she stand up for herself without knowing well that she has an upper hand over her adversary.

Survivalist
Many months in Outland isolation have proven to her that there will come a time for tough decisions and priority is her own survival. No cost is too great when you're about to save your own skin.

Faith crisis averted
Never caring about faith before the seven-hour war, thanks to the influence of certain individuals Alletia began questioning her choice of the way. Church and Christianity, once so easily accessible - are now scarce and rare...

Seemingly blind to her plea when a mind not of her own began the invasion, Alletia's faithless side won the battle. Though believing in her own wicked way, she thinks God abandoned her in her time of need. If she's unworthy of its aid, then surely all others are unworthy of her voluntary aid...

Sneering bystander
Though against her own set of rules, she sometimes can't help but frown at what she believes are the wrongdoings of others. Got her in trouble before, and will get her in trouble many times more...

Self-preservation paranoia
Carelessness has led her to become a puppet and in turn, made her blind to any danger including civil protection squads roaming the area. She might've lied her way once, there will be no second chance.

Distant whispers
Though left by the entity, its mark will always accompany her. During the heaviest of rains and in the darkest corners of the sewers, she hears the unseen voice still - even if it's now only her own imagination...

OCR Prisoner
Shipped over to the OCR Facility instead of Amputation may prove a second chance for some - others will simply see it as a way to continue this agonizing struggle. No matter who you are, you'll never leave the same human when you return to the city.

- Short Backstory -

Bound to wander Outlands and scavenge from ruins to survive - Alletia has hesitated for many months to return to the city grounds. When mass relocation began, she sought the opportunity and managed to sneak her way into the slum sector via underground passages. Reluctant at first, she established some connection to the populace and soon managed to get her hands on a brand new legal CID. Focusing most of her attention on what she did best - scavenging - Alletia continued her goal of surviving the worldwide crisis. She believes that toppling off the Combine Regime is a task for others, more dedicated people. If you keep to yourself long enough, perhaps the World will forget you ever existed.

With no personal goal in mind and several backpacks of supplies stocked up, she turned to seek new ways of keeping her hands busy. That led to a questionable decision of submerging oneself in the art of drug making. Fascinated by the chemical reactions and ideas they gave to her, Alletia began an official drug market - opened for all slummers to enjoy. It's only a matter of time before someone catches up and civil protection begins sniffing her out.

Though she expected her downfall, she did not think it would be by a thing not human. Whilst what exactly happened is left only for herself to tell, the events in that cave system changed her mentality forever. Blinded and without a will of her own, she strived straight into danger and only managed to lie her way out by lowering herself to the point of a meager squirming worm. Everything to survive, dignity has no place in a bigger game.

ADMIRES RESPECTS LIKES INDIFFERENT FEARS DECEASED DISTRUSTS DISLIKES HATES

- CIVIL PROTECTION -
Some see them as monsters but the truth is, they're just survivors - like me. Here's a token of respect for that. The difference is, they took the easy way out. All in all, it's the stereotype that shaped their reputation. Just watch out for those with color on their uniforms, most if not all are more machine than human.

- OVERWATCH TRANSHUMAN ARM -
Clinking boots, flashes of light, monotone emotionless voice. One, two, three - better have a hiding spot or you'll soon foresee...that you'll never be truly free.

- COMBINE CIVIL ADMINISTRATION -
Puppets controlled by puppets controlled by puppets...there's a limit to how many you can sacrifice for your own safety.

- CWU & CMU -
All in all, very useful bunch - keeping ordinary citizens busy. Most workshifts and common events are organized to help the populace, not Combine themselves. There's just this sour aftertaste of their opinion about the underclass. Won't treat a dying man just because he was chosen to be an outcast?

- CITIZENS -
I'm not comfortable with masses, not anymore. Makes me feel like a sheep amidst wolves. One time you'll be asked how your day went and the other someone will get you beaten just to raise their own social points. There are so many that you can't just generalize them all into one bunch.

SNITCHES AND TRAITORS ALL - that sweep I stumbled upon blindly wasn't ever for me...w-was it? I don't recall anything besides that terrifying red mist and a stupifying lethargy that followed it. No matter, it's your fault! IT HAS TO BE, SOMEONE CALLED THEM OVER!

- SLUMMERS -
We're not family as many believe, we may be a community but people often forget we're forced into this community to create at least a portion of what it used to be like before the occupation. Strangely enough, you'll be even more likely here to either get a helping hand or shank between your ribs.

W-were we betrayed by our own? No...what a strange thought, we don't care for each other after all. This is just one big game of survival. What's three heads on a pike for one that stays to boast about it?

- REBELLION -
I guess there's a fair amount of truth behind all those posters about them being terrorists. I'm talking "freedom fighters" here, not people just trying to pull through. So far I haven't heard of a single major mission that wouldn't involve the citizens and slummers suffering. I feel like puking when I see someone walking in full gear out in the open just to boast about it. If you're an anti-citizen a simple mask will do, why on earth do you need that shotgun slung across your back?

You must've drawn those civil protection officers to the slums, who else? Should've just stayed low, SHOULD'VE JUST STAYED LOW.

- VORTIGAUNTS -
Forced into this mess by the common enemy. I don't know many of them, they're weird but surprisingly passionate. Guess it has something to do with all of them being kindred and whatnot.

I'm so sorry- I didn't want to do it. The thing forced me to- whoever you were, I hope someone stumbled upon your bleeding remainings and managed to save you...

- PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS -

- Aeric -
Closest to what I can consider a true ally. We've been through several missions and quests together and so far he hasn't really let me down. Though sometimes a bit hotheaded I can rely on him. We make a good duo I daresay!

If there's anyone I can truly trust anymore, it's you. You understand the struggle.

-
Andre -
A man who has turned my vision of Christianity upside down. I saw it as insignificant before all that has happened but now? There's this pull that I can't quite explain, like meeting someone from old times that you knew but you weren't ever actually friends. Despite all my personal rules, I keep finding myself supporting the small chapel with supplies every time I pass by. Hand out something for free...but why?

WHERE WAS THE GOD WHEN THAT THING TOOK CONTROL OVER ME? WHY DID MY PRAYERS GO UNSANSWERED?! You lied, didn't you...?

-
"
Ricci" -
Tough cookie by the looks of it. She's working with Aeric so I guess in turn I'm sometimes working with her. I just can't stand her attitude toward things, almost as if constantly trying to prove to someone that she can handle it all by herself. Sometimes trying to turn out on top gives you the opposite result and draws attention toward you rather than away from you. Gerh-.

I was wrong about you, or rather, about myself. You outlasted me in the grand scheme of things, survived longer than I did. I crawled out and in for a second chance however. You helped me, a lot...for pretty much nothing in return. You appear to have everything one could yearn for, yet trust... that's a resource one cannot simply find. Do I have what it takes to give such over to you? Are we allies or competitors?

-
"A" -
Good medic by the looks of things, helped me stitch up my head when that random suitcase exploded on us in the sewers. Can't put my finger on it but for some reason, she appears rather trustworthy. Fair point to make, she's also the first person I ever met when leaving the Outlands behind.

-
Jun -
The head of this so well-known army. General of armed slummers, enlisting everyone that decides to join - or so I've heard. I'm gonna be honest here, the idea makes me laugh. Haven't really heard much of their operations other than seeing their members walk around constantly fully armed around the slums. Then again, I can't judge - at least someone is trying to fight back against the Combine. Let's just hope we don't all end up under rubble and CP boot because of their actions.

I think the guy's dead?

-
Dwarf -
One more member of Jun's army - an asshole like no other. First, insulted me then tried stealing my beanie. The hell!

-
Patch -
Good fellow, and a company to behold during my little drug trades. I swear I saw his silhouette when the train departed. W-was it just a coincidence or is there more to all of this?
He did come back for me! If only he and his mates were there even a minute earlier...I just departed as they were about to begin the rescue. A matter of seconds - good conclusion to our life.

I really like both of these from your biography. I always wanted to see and feel a character that seems to do everything and anything to survive and live another day. That's human and believable. People don't portray that very well, really. But from reading a little bit, seems like you have it good. Nice job :D
