Around 10 O' clock or 2200 PDT I had an encounter with a couple of, rather unpleasant, RPers who attempted to mug me. For background, this took place in the slums, and the situation progressed to the top of the crane or whatever that tower is (I cannot recall right now) where the actual role play scenario began. As for background on the instigators, they are both women, one being 5'2 and carrying a hatchet, the other being at least 6' unarmed (Rose). Now, information on myself as the victim, I am a male that is 5'8 and I was armed with a glass knife.

What I want to know are all of your opinions on the matter of who was in the wrong during the situation- instigators, or the victim. Now, overall, they are in the wrong, because after they, from my perspective, couldn't powergame me and get what they wanted, they decided to try and s2k me with their hatchet, but I ran away. No staff, as I know of, were online at the time, as none responded to my request, though I only waited a few minutes because I had to go eat with my wife (don't ask why we were eating late).

To help set the stage, I clearly knew they were following me around, that's why I /mec'ed holding my knife in my sleeve before anything ever happened. As for our exact locations. Atop the tower, I wanted to get down because I was worried this situation would happen, but they blocked me. Anyways, the short female stood in front of me almost right next to the ladder, whilst I stood on the left side of the tower only a few feet from her. Rose, on the other hand, stood about 15-20 feet away behind me hiding behind the crane top, though I knew she was there because I saw her come up the ladder as I tried to leave.

At some point later they tried to claim I was surprised attacked from behind, even though I had my eye on my rear, which was clearly /med.

To bring support to myself on the male vs. female portion, being completely honest, an average man can quite easily take on 5 average women, so her comment about being several inches taller means nothing, nor does her comment about being 195 lbs. Even IF she actually had 195 lbs in her desc (she did not) her weight wouldn't pin me down entirely, but, to be fair, there was for some reason some massive misconception about whether the first woman was on the ground or not. What they were trying to explain made no sense to me when comparing it to what I already had /med. Last point on the weight, this is not some seasoned rebel/outlands character who is well-fed and thoroughly, or even minimally, trained, this is a bluesuit. In the city environment, she would not weight 195 lbs in the first place- again, this wasn't even on her desc to begin with.

At the end, "Seems beneath me" is supposed to be "she is beneath me".
After the "*** Rose begins standing-" the other woman just starts to hack at me with her hatchet, so I booked it. And I ran until I reached the RDC and tried contacting admins.

So, to conclude this, I'd appreciate your thoughts on this situation. I'm not intending on making a report about this, but I want to see the general consensus on who is at fault mostly, besides the s2k hatchet part. Sorry if my formatting and grammar structure is hard to read or messy, but thanks guys.

this is an excellent reason why before partaking in hostile actions against another player, you're best off calling a GM. As it stands, with nobody to moderate the situation it very quickly devolves into LOOC arguments. I havent read everything but nothing jumps out at me as powergaming, just a couple of players being sillybillies and forgetting to /gmhelp prior to a mugging/hostile action.

Should GMs be involved in minor hostile action, kinda like just punching a guy or slapping someone, or taking like something off someones hands?
Just a question that came to my head while eyeing this thread

I didn't read the post. But I know what it's about.

Want to avoid this?
Don't use LOOC for what it isn't intended (Discussing) and instead call a GM to oversee any roleplay situation where both parties dissagree.
If you don't do this, things won't have a happy ending for anyone.

I'm so glad I avoid combat all the time and never had to get involved with it just by reading this thread lmao

A Single fist fight in WWN is more stressful and rage inducing than a 50 minute ranked League of Legends match.

Never played leauge and never entered combat in Willard, I'm immune to your problems

I am about a week new to this community, so the concept of GM usage isn't something I am akin to except for in event scenarios. Not only that, but I had no idea that /gmhelp what a thing... Good thing that I know now, and I certainly will make use of it in the future.
