Background story

Amir Tutnicu is Bosnian Muslim. He decided to become a researcher when he was very young since his country was poor , he lost a mother while she gave him a birth. So he had a father alcoholic regular worker in city 27 who was beating him up and bullying him in every possible way even the mental and that is why Amir is avoiding fights . In order to feed his 2 younger sisters he had to be innovative from an early age , developing small projects and learning what the world offers to him . He likes to read good books, drink tea and coffee even sometimes he likes to smoke. His primary objective is to develop tools which will help weak people who are weak like him to be stronger. Survived a Yugoslovian war as child assisting doctors doing medical stuff in civil medicine and helping the refuges.Since combine is going to finance his projects he is willing to leave all the stuff he makes to them since he just wants to answer some questions , why are weak people weak indeed . He likes to observe from the window how people behave with each other on the street, what are their physical and social behaviours. He is disgusted by fights and any animal behavior by human beings . However he thinks that Union and combine bringed awesome upgrades to humanity and that they helped to humanity , Amir thinks that humanity would not survive much more because of global warming and toxic issues done by high CO2 emissions he thinks that humans needed Combine help with technology and people managment in order to do evolution of our species.Amir is not visiting the slums because he lives by book rules and he obeys the codex , he doesn’t like the workforce but he is willing to help to everybody with health issues.

UPDATE

Amir’s work and travels through Terminal 7 (Russia), City 8 (Tokyo), and City 24 profoundly changed his trajectory.

Terminal 7 (Russia):
Here, Amir was assigned by the Ministry of Civil Protection to conduct early tests on Civil Protection officers. His experiments studied both psychological endurance and physical augmentation, with one of his most notorious methods being the use of controlled electrical shocks during stress trials. By shocking officers in interrogation style simulations, Amir documented their limits of obedience, their thresholds for pain, and how authority figures broke down under duress.
This stage hardened he witnessed firsthand the fragility of even those entrusted with power, and his willingness to cross ethical lines marked him as both valuable and dangerous within research circles.

City 8 (Tokyo):
Amir collaborated with the Science Research Institute (SRI) on cutting edge projects, including prototype exoskeletons designed to enhance weak individuals, and an unusual study involving an “ intelligent gnome” in a controlled test chamber. These projects were his first steps into merging biology, engineering, and psychology into one research field.

City 24:
Here, Amir’s focus shifted to applied fieldwork. He monitored infestations, ran controlled trials, and refined his theories about human resilience. His experience deepened his loyalty to the Union and Benefactors, whom he saw as the only forces capable of managing humanity’s fragile survival.

Current Work:

Amir is now actively investigating the infestation in V17, documenting patterns of spread and behavioral anomalies, believing these phenomena may hold answers to why weakness persists in biological systems.

Personal Changes

Appearance:
The years of stress and constant research have taken a toll. Amir has lost his hair, smokes more regularly, and appears older than his years.

Lifestyle:
Realizing survival in the Combine world requires political maneuvering, Amir joined the Genevan Prosperity Party. This step forced him to become more social, though he still struggles with his natural antisocial tendencies. He believes that politicians live better lives, and aligning with them secures his research opportunities and personal survival.

Social Role:
Amir now networks with colleagues, forming cautious alliances. Though still disgusted by violence, he has learned to mask his disdain, presenting himself as a supportive advocate for the Union and Benefactors.
