This is all minor reworks. This thread can be followed and then discarded.

SECTION ONE: ALASKA & CANADA

Change #1: Change the Alaskan Wilderness shape to something akin to the map. I realized how bad it looks. Basically just make it look good.
unknown.png
Change #2: Add the 'Combine Sol. IV Research Facility'. Description and location below.
7bded85afe37afa0e5e8f923113cdd83.jpg
A fairly sizable Combine facility exists in the far reaches of North America. While it's not exactly clear what the Combine's intention or goal is with the facility, it's function is slightly known.
The facility, reportedly, is apart of a Combine effort to monitor Sol. IV, Mars. It's also unknown whether or not more facilities such as this exist in the area.
Despite this, a blow to this facility could cripple the Combine's efforts regarding Sol IV, whatever they may be.

Change #3: Add the 'Combine Logging Camp. Description and location below.
e3243a6efdf094224eb85288747e3239.png
A series of Combine Logging Camps have been created in Canada. These camps pool labor from the trifecta of Combine Cities on the Eastern seaboard. The result is a massive strip logging operation in Canada with a great deal of the lumber heading South to these cities.

The result of the Combine's efforts in the region have been seen as a good chunk of the surrounding areas, thousands of square kilometers, are completely deforested and stripped barren.

SECTION TWO: X.M.Z

Change #1: Rewrite the actual X.M.Z to just be better. The new description is below:
The ever growing, ever consuming, horrific Xenian Malignance Zone. This cancerous alien tumor has completely consumed the Western United States and has continued to spread both south, north, and west across the Ocean-- Where it's eldritch tendrils crawl across the Ocean Floor, seeking new land.

The Xenian Malignance Zone has yet to be halted despite the efforts of both previous pre-occupation authorities and the Combine. Several major Combine Urban centers have been consumed by it and currently no human activity is sustained inside the Zone.

Occupational Authorities have recently identified the 'Genesis Pit' in Carson City to be the source of the massive infestation that is currently 'xenoforming' Earth.

- June 2018 -
The Xenian Malignance Zone has finally consumed City Twenty-One, Seattle, after months of it holding out against the alien tide. It's communications were inhibited, the City was inaccessible, and finally it fell in June.

Change #3: Rewrite the Genesis Pit to get it some love and lore. New Description is below:
The Core of the Infestation-- The Genesis Pit. The Genesis pit acts as the beating heart of the Xenian Malignance Zone. Life and matter is consumed thousands of miles away and spurt back out, evolved, at the pit. Eldritch Evolution takes place over days and months as the Zone evolves and grows in its quest to consume Earth.

However. this unrecognizable center of the Infestation was once Carson City, Nevada. It's rumored that the infestation began shortly after the Black Mesa Incident but was largely controlled by the United States Government until a certain point. It was also reported, during the early occupation, that the Combine attempted to beat back the fledgling infestation until it ultimately grew to large to contain. Despite this horrific, eldritch grow reportedly consuming all life, it's still reported that some conclaves of life could've existed near the Genesis Pit at one time or another.

SECTION THREE: LITTLE REMOVALS & EDITS
Change #1: Fix the description on this bad boy here. It's kinda cringe and bad. A new description is below:
d518042958f52e58476e0b1febb76cd7.png

Unknown Activity.

Not much is known about this area other than most travelers and ranchers avoid it. Nothing had gotten to close to the area in recent times and came back alive.

Change #2: Glowup for this hub. Map location and description is below.

8e38c013e35a7d2a4222317c9cc8eb72.jpg

<::Terminal Nine::>

Havana, Cuba, now known as Terminal Nine, is the primary hub of relocations and transport between Europe and the Americas.

Terminal Nine, which was formed shortly after the Seven Hour War and the Combine's abandonment of the Caribbean Islands, handles the relocations that move towards North America, Central America, South America and surrounding regions. The Terminal, due to its hefty load of relocations, is often understaffed and unstable.

Change #3: Remove this entire area. It'll be redone in a following section.

e0f1e755fe48b5ee1b5061e778576baa.jpg

Change #4: Fix up San Fran's description. Description provided below.
c8ae393ecac82ed45676ae047438b974.png

Point of Interest

San Francisco was an unknown Combine Urban Center that was nearly immediately destroyed upon its creation in the Early Occupation. What resides here now is unknown but there has been rumors of life. It may be worth investigating.

Change #5: Fix up Mexico City's description. Description provided below.

C̶i̶t̶y̶ ̶F̶i̶f̶t̶y̶ ̶F̶o̶u̶r̶ - "UNSPECIFIED" City

Status: Consumed

Mexico City was a fairly well of residential city that had existed from the Seven Hour War until roughly 2018. The City itself was home to bustling life and a small 'resort' area on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico that Loyalists often frequented. Despite this however, the City itself suffered from a great deal of corruption.

As the X.M.Z and American Wastes began to grow and creep up on City Fifty Four, the Administration did very little enjoying their high life until the very last moments. As the X.M.Z finally began to overpower the City's defenses, the Administration quickly abandoned the City. What followed was a brief period of chaos before an evacuation was mounted by the Combine in early 2018. A large portion of the population was evacuated to Terminal Nine in Havanna and then sent elsewhere.

Now the City is devoid of life, other than that of the X.M.Z, and is extremely dangerous.

SECTION FOUR: FLORDIA ADDITIONS
Change #1: Add the 'Broken Bottle Tribe'

Black X on the Florida Keys
e40c2cfc5a34a607d341d04b6b13e604.png

The Broken Bottle Tribe are a collection of Florida natives that have banded together to survive among the harsh conditions of the local landscape and combat any influence of the Combine war machine. Many members of the tribe operate out at sea and live among large man made barges that can house up to 70 members at a time. Usually only coming to shore for damage endured during annual air raids. The group remains very selective about who they allow into the tribe, as they remain fearful (maybe even paranoid) about CCA informants that may be seeking out weaknesses within the group in an attempt to disrupt them from spreading internally.

The tribe exists as a passive collection of people that do not seek out warfare. The tribe shares a common philosophy that salvation will come, so long as survival of the tribe continues. Combat is only used by the time in defensive efforts to preserve what little they have in the dangerous world that surrounds them. They live off of a limited cuisine of leeches they catch at sea and other local wildlife they can get their hands on. While not considered to be the most primitive tribe that exists in the modern world, they are far from state of the art when it comes to methods of development of survival.

Each member of the group is referred to as a 'Shard'. The idea being that the entire tribe is one component of a broken bottle. In total, the tribe houses about 400 'Shards' that remain in close quarters to the area in which they were founded by Florida local Blake Beckham in 2026. The group still persists till this very day, waiting on salvation to come.

Change #2: Add the 'The Fort Lauderdale Trading Company'

Black X
32107eefaca1dee7384f9f56bb703373.png

The Fort Lauderdale Trading Company is a massive network of former military personnel and contributing citizens that act as one of the most reliable trade Networks this side of the United States. The group lack any particular ground to call home, and instead decide to move from several camping grounds as various trade routes begin and end. As the trading company moved from place to place, new members are acquired while older members settle down which leads to a rapidly changing numerical count as far as members are concerned.

The efforts of the group have provided each member with a desirable lifestyle that consists of both an active work cycle and a rewarding personal life after hours. Because of the wide variety of members the trading company possesses, painting a history of the group becomes somewhat sophisticated and troublesome. It is widely accepted that the group was born out of a raid that occurred in an attempt to liberate former US Army supplies from the Fort Lauderdale region. After the successful acquisition of weapons, the group began moving North to trade and deal out the supplies to local resistance groups. The success achieved by this act only snowballed the group into becoming a larger Trade Network that would become well-known throughout the Florida and Miami region.

Change #3: Add the 'The Greenwood Gators'
112c2f3cb232a787efa57fc70e3acf12.png

The Greenwood Gators are a mysterious collection of people that thrive among the Florida swamps. They are a robust collection of Florida Natives and Vortigaunts that have been in hiding for an extensive amount of time. They are considered to be an extremely territorial group of people that do not take kindly to Outsiders. What is known about the group is that they are known for experimenting with the mysterious powers of the vortessence in an attempt to find a solution to the Combine question. There has been little success known as far as the efforts of the group are concerned, but this has done little in the way of slowing down the efforts of the Greenwood Gators.

The group chose a collection of swamps that were nicknamed by pre-war locals "The Greenwood Swamps" to establish their home community and quickly established a network of huts and treehouses to ensure Speedy travel among the modern fasted swamps of the region. It is believed there are approximately 300 to 500 total members belonging to this particular faction with numbers constantly in fluctuation due to unreliable sources. The group has been successful in sustaining their own Survival through a combination of pre-war Agriculture and Xenian husbandry. The Greenwood swamps have become overpopulated with a new breed of Bullsquid known to the locals as Gatorsquids. This is both provided the group with and needed sustenance through hunting and farming efforts, as well as deter prying eyes from investigating the collection of people any further.

SECTION FIVE: PITTSBURG & WEST POINT
Change #1: Add Combine Reformation Civic Center. See description and location below.

b3f9b8b73bd3161ab580b4dc4477d8c5.png
The City of Pittsburg, following the Seven Hour War, was left in partial ruin as the trifecta of Cities on the Eastern Seaboard became the main hub for the Combine in New England. However, despite this fact the Combine continued to hold a small presence in the area. As the occupation drug on however, the City was soon repurposed to fit the Combine's needs. Pittsburg essentially became a 'Prison City.' Entire districts, who were often involved in unruly activity, would often be relocated to Pittsburg where relocations out of the area where essentially impossible.

This facility is responsible for supporting the trifecta of the sector. The facility is responsible for a tremendous output of various refined materials and other necessary goods that several of the urban protection centers within the region benefit from.

Change #2: Westpoint Rework
06bdb2e860b4bc9df9aa84b9a7949254.jpg

Ruined Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant:
(Red X)

The Indian Point Energy Center (also known as the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant) was an extremely outdated set of nuclear reactors on the Hudson River. Following the Seven Hour War, the facility was abandoned leading to a small scale nuclear disaster from the outdated reactors. The disaster was discovered by the Combine several months later after the Hudson River became extremely irradiated and a breeding ground for Xenian life.

Today the Power Plant is barely covered and contained after a series of operations by Victor Company during the early years of the occupation.

Quarantine Zone No. 5
(Green Area)

QZ No. 5 is a highly radioactive area surrounding the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant. The Hudson River and the surrounding areas are known to be filled with toxic waste and dangerous, mutated Xenian life. The outer perimeter of the Zone is patrolled by Victor Company.

Victor Company
(Blue X)

Victor Company is a penal battalion stationed around Q-Z No. 5 with the intent of patrolling the zone and eliminating any threats, such as Xenian wildlife, that may try to get in or out.

Victor Company itself is made up of criminals and the like due to the terrible assignment that is protecting the irradiated zone. Despite this, Victor Company has been known to handle itself due to its long standing mission in the area. Furthermore, in the early days of the occupation, it was the Victor Company that was able to establish the zone after a long and hard fought battle against the Xenian Creatures in the zone.

SECTION SIX: THE AMERICAN WASTES
Change #1: Add Combine Outposts
23a4a2684aa6bf06000c31bc32b1780b.jpg
Combine Outpost No. 95
(Green X)

Combine Outpost No. 95, previously known as Columbus, is the major hub of activity for any affairs going in and out of the American Wasteland. Outpost No. 95 in particular handles most supplies transported from the trifecta of cities on the Eastern Seaboard that are then shipped out via rail to the American Wastes and supplied across the area by local Combine forces. This Combine Outpost in particular holds up the Combine's efforts in the American wastes.

Combine Outpost No. 102
(Black X)

Combine Outpost No. 102 sits a fair distance away from the ruined city of Chicago. This outpost in particular monitors the Western Great Lake region and secures the area outside of City Seventy while also ensuring the American Wastes creep no further.

Combine Outpost No. 83
(Blue X)

Combine Outpost No. 83 is a lightly defended outpost tasked with holding back the encroaching American Wastes and American South. Despite it's critical area and role, the Outpost is often understaffed and as a result, the region is known for being highly dangerous compared to the areas surrounding its counterparts.

Combine Outpost No. 221
(Red X)

Combine Outpost No. 221, somewhat South of Virginia Beach, holds an important role in defending the Eastern seaboard from the American South. Despite the Combine's efforts to contain the area, the swampy and hazardous regions of the South still seem to encroach North. It's the goal of Outpost No. 221 to prevent this and as such, it's often staffed and defended fairly well.

Change #2: Add the Combine Distribution Facility
2da07436e9b0f08c47582eecbe5a3469.jpg

Combine Distribution Facility No. 8:

The Combine Distribution Facility No. 8 is the largest and most important distribution facility in the American Wastes. The facility marks one of the largest Combine presences so deep in the American Wasteland. Despite the fact that the facility is just one of several running up and down the Mississippi River, it's known as the most important due to its connection via rail to Combine Outpost No. 95.

The purpose of this facility is to facilitate the transfer of goods in and out of the Wastes. In particular, resources are shipped to the facility and then to other Distribution Hubs across the Wastes, both North and South, that may then be distributed to Combine Ranchers and other facilities via Transhuman Rangers. The same goes vice-versa as important products from ranches and the like are then shipped out via said facility.

Any blow to this facility would also likely cripple the Combine's efforts to tame the Wastes.

Change #3: Add the American Wastes Railway
01c7640f752cc2e53d3f951463fa8522.jpg

The American Wasteland Railway

The American Wasteland Railway is a vital rail line running from Combine Outpost No. 95 in Columbus, Ohio to Combine Distribution Facility No. 9 in Wichita, Kansas. This railway facilitates the massive transport of goods in and out of the American Wasteland.

Any significant damage to a large portion of the railway would likely cripple the Combine's efforts in the region.

Change #4: Change the image for the New Mexico portion of the American Wastes.
8112bd939aa7d0b81400ad917ffa8265.png

Change #5: Change the image & description for the radioactive icon. Just a little glowup.

79eb2ffe0be19a14a12bd47348ec002b.png

VWMHcrk.png

Radioactive Zone

This zone is particularly radioactive. Going here without the proper equipment could be a death wish.

Change #6: Change the description for the New Mexico area of the American Wastes. Remove the copy and paste.

8112bd939aa7d0b81400ad917ffa8265.png

The North American Quarantine Zone

When the Resonance Cascade erupted in New Mexico, the State slowly became a battleground against the U.S Government and the unknown forces of Xen. In the days and weeks following the disaster at Black Mesa, New Mexico itself would be evacuated as the United States failed to contain the issue at Black Mesa. Furthermore, 'Portal Storms' began to violently erupt aground ground zero. These storms would ultimately swallow up a great deal of North America from within. Yet, the strongest portal storms were recorded in New Mexico. What remains in the area is a twisted and horrific zone, unlike any sight native to Earth, that few dare to venture into.
