Arrested and Charged for something, I did not commit

Topic/subject: Arrested, Interrogated and Charged despite not doing the crime

Summary: Basically Helix-4 and Fatter77 went into my pub and told me, I am being detained and didn't told me what I am being accused off. So I closed down the pub and followed them and then they started to interrogate me about some things, that doesn't even affiliated to my charges or accusations. Then they want to find out things about the box, why there is a hole behind the box. When you go through there and upstairs there is a Map, Radio and Transmitter which seemed spawned by Staff and those two Units just went in their way to get me charged. So it started with my words being twisted and accused of lying, which I cannot do, because I never entered in there or placed said props. It was the work of Staff. Well forward to say, there was no evidence and they wanted Information that doesn't basically exist and faked an amputation and still I didn't said anything, because i don't know anything. Well then they just beaten the shit out of me and released me and I could come back to my Terminal seeing. I got charged with "V105" and 3 SC deducted. Which annoys me.
So not only, was there no clear evidence of me other than Staff setting props that wasn't in my pub. And there was no real charge that should lead to my arrest in the first place with the V105 Charge added, because i couldn't give them any Information.

I just want that Violation removed and the SC added, because the grind for the SC is annoying and CPs coming constantly in my pub for that box, which I am not even fault off

I was flying around that building a few times as a bird. I remember looking in the window upstairs and seeing a swathe of props, curtains included. The next day they were gone. Whoever was in there probably forgot to get them persisted by an admin. I can say someone was, definitely, occupying the space. Whether it was you or a squatter getting in through the hatch, who can say.

I will address your concerns from top to bottom. I will start off by saying there are things that I will not be able to disclose due to the information potentially being able to use to metagame. First off, your character wasn't charged for the background (the room behind the box). It relates to something else in an on going investigation. Earlier we had questioned an employee of your establishment and they revealed a few things about your store and your character. Also your concern to why we were asking questions unrelated to the charges or accusations was an interrogation tactic and I don't see your issue with us questioning you about your business and your characters' life. The fake amputation was a result of the V105, our characters wanted to remind you what happens when you lie to the union and it was a reminder to how quickly your life can end.

In our DMs and your DMs with Fatter77 and the other Rank Leaders we have clarified a lot of information, I can't reveal too much information to you at this moment as it is still an on going investigation but you were not charged for having a hidden room or props attached to your store. That would be extremely stupid if we charged you based on that.

Your concern about the 'SC Grind'. Our characters deducted the lowest amount of SC from your character, 3 SC shouldn't be too hard to gain back. Also the V105 charge wasn't given for not being able to provide information it was for something else, which at the moment I can't disclose due to potential metagame issues.

This is very much an IC issue, if a cop charged you with something (doesn't matter if you did or not) it's IC and posting on the forums will not get your violations removed or SC added.

This is very much an IC issue, if a cop charged you with something (doesn't matter if you did or not) it's IC and posting on the forums will not get your violations removed or SC added.

Then I recommend you contact the leads. I remember faintly that we have a OOC rule that CPs can't charge you for something you didn't do but I don't remember it all correctly. Might only apply to amputation verdicts.

Shit happens if it wasn't an amputation or anything, best off taking it IC and trying to sort your problem out.

The only thing people think of is the lore until it’s their fun being trampled on. Until then though “that’s just how it is, that’s the lore, that’s the universe” are the excuses people cling on to to alleviate themselves of guilt for ruining other people’s fun for what amounts to no reason.

It’s just a tinier part of a greater issue that’s being swept under the rug because “Oh, it’s no problem this time”. This time being the key, as it’s something that keeps happening, like with Asa Hoshi.

Right now I feel like the issue of CPs on the server is being fixed by the likes of command units like Goose who actually care about the faction and don’t intend for things like this to happen. Sure, Goose is a bit egotistical and has a generic 7’0” by-the-books badass as a character, but he genuinely cares for the faction and wants to see people happy.

Right now, Goose is looking over logs to see exactly who is a bad roleplayer in the faction. If he checks your logs and your roleplaying is not up to their faction standards or just good in general, you’re going to get a DM explaining your flaws and how you can fix them. Otherwise, you’re out of the faction if you can’t fix those issues. In my honest opinion, I feel like this issue is only temporary and will be fixed after the faction reform hopefully.

Regarding the actual issue at hand with this report, I don’t see the big issue about it. One of the CPs involved posted their side about it and it looked pretty alright to me and they had a justification to do what they did. Deducting 3 SC is somewhat not okay considering that’s the maximum amount you can deduct from a civilian, and they should’ve only done that if you actually committed a crime rather than doing it to show what happens when you mess with civil protection.

I get both sides of the story. I get what the CPs have done and their motivations behind it, though I don’t agree with some of their actions. These issues will be fixed, though you need to be patient and give it time. That’s my two cents on the matter.
