YIPPIE NECROPOST!!!

So I'm forcing myself to work on other shit to try and break out of the vicious cycle of Hyperfixate on my HL2RP server > Get burnt out > Procrastinate/Slow work to a crawl > Take a break > Repeat. Hopefully, it works.

One of the projects I've decided to (re)start is some sort of fretta/gmod tower clone that I was planning on making last year, but put on ice. I feel like a lot of people nowadays don't have the time or willpower to play something that requires commitment in both time and effort - hell, that applies to me these days too. So I figured something like this; just a bunch of minigames and people you can socialize with after a long day or something would be pretty neat. That, as well as some non-competitive long-term features and mechanics for those who have more time to spend on something like this (cosmetics, leveling, houses, etc)

Hopefully, I stay more consistent on it this time around. I'll try to get a server up on it ASAP in an effort to force myself to actually commit to it. Fingers crossed that works lol

Anyway, here's what I have so far. It's... basically nothing in the grand scheme of things, but I'm actually proud of it, I think it's pretty neat. Hopefully, more interesting posts will come down the line.

Feedback & ideas are very very very much welcome

working on a basic hoops thing. looks like shit but this is just dev art rn. functionality first, artpass later

I've finally finished a project I've been putting off for a very long time:

A night version of the classic City 17 map. I acquired edit permissions from the original devs back in July of 2022, but I kept putting it off as other things kept getting in the way. At last, it is done, and I can cross it off the long list of personal projects I want to tackle.

I won't spam pictures here or anything-- or, eh, maybe one:

To see the rest, or check the map out, you can do so here. It's not perfect, and I'll probably update it a couple more times before I'm done with it, so thoughts & feedback are always welcome!

PS: Fuck streamable, I've gotta start uploading my videos somewhere else with more longevity... everything is gone, raaagh.

Pushed another update to Squadron today, Prop Blacklisting!

You can add and remove props to and from the blacklist with ease from multiple areas such as the spawn menu, the context menu, as well as the dedicated props menu, where you can view all blacklisted props and filter through them, with access to the default 'model editor' to get a better look at the model, if you need.

I also just realized, I forgot to post here about my previous Squadron update before this one, so I might as well include it now:

Improved Admin ESP!

The default one that comes with Helix is too minimalistic for my tastes, so this new Admin ESP displays more information about players and even includes an easy way to register other entities for the ESP as well, with automatically generated client options to enable or disable each one at will.

Another Squadron thing today, albeit small - you can now freeze players in mid-air.
