Sector 10, Western Europe, churns for war. For most of the Sector war has taken over daily life. From Arceneaux's Legions to Casto's Redshirts and even Heartwick's Centralism Bloc there has been almost persistent whispers of the Uprising in London.

The desperate defense of London has been tasked to not only the foreign troops with hidden agendas but the poorly trained conscripts across the sector. One of these Battalions, the 103rd Antlions, eagerly throw their lives into battle.

The counteroffensive known as Operation London Bridge beckons. How many will return home from it?

OOC INFORMATION:

DATE: 4th DEC. 7/8 PM BST

Auspicius Chapter One (The Militarization of London) is the long awaited next chapter of Auspicius and the London Arc. It will be following members of the 103rd Antlions as they are deployed on a infiltration operation into the core of City 2 as a part of the greater Operation London Bridge. This particular event is going to be somewhat deadly and it is highly likely that there will be casualties. This event will take place over one day and include two maps on the Event Server. Content will be posted at a later date.


SIGNUP INFORMATION:
The signup for this event is limited to the previously signed up members of the Arteria Arm and individuals wishing to play specified event characters. These characters are specified on page three of this thread.

Details of these event characters will be passed on as we near the day of the event.
If for some reason we do not meet a particular quota of Arteria Arm members we may open up general applications. More info on a later date.

For now the Application is essentially a confirmation that you will be able to attend and some added IC and OOC information.

After narrowly surviving the 7 hour war, Lewis Kenny never thought he would be seeing war first hand again never mind fighting in it.
But nevertheless he is now a conscript in Epsilon squad, preparing to leave the friends he made during his time living in the various cities he was relocated to.

Regardless of this Lewis is prepared to do what is required of him, even if it means giving his life for the Union. He doesn’t know if he will die in glory or be the first one to die in combat not given a chance to fight back. He has seen war once before first hand and is now prepared to do so again.

He who was once a proud republican frenchman of France and City-13 that was relocated to City-24 purely to join the Arteria Arm.
He has forfeited the comfort of his old life, forsaken his wife and forgotten about his childrens in City-13 to join the 103rd Antlion Battalion.
All in the hope of making a name for himself and becoming a City Administrator to give a better future for humanity.
He is now mere canon-fodder for the Combine by joining The Militant Arteria Arm.
He speaks so high about the Universal Union as if he was preaching words in their name.

-Althrough I acted incredibly silly with my character in the camp due to it being very boring, Im not saying that I won't act as such but my character will be more serious most of the time at least.​

Vexillum, 103rd Antlion Battalion, MAA

Zhang's a long way from his home in City 29.

The ever-lasting sound of the old and creaky engines of the Old-World transportation vehicles drone on as the Vexillum, along with his Battalion finally reaches their destination, the reason for their creation, and possibly their end. His hopes for a stable and safe career dashed when he was deployed to City 24.

Sector 10, City 2, London. Besieged by an enemy force that shows their traction isn't anywhere near faltering, London is on the brink of collapse, and with the Transhumans deemed overkill, the Arteria has been sent to clean up its mess. Trained with the dregs of the dregs, old Mosin rifles, hopefully the actual issued equipment is substantially better. He, along with his men were meant to go up against a force that had overrun an entire City and its Civil Protection garrison.

Yet his mind is in a constant debate within itself, the political machinations at work, specifically the Republicans and Futurists supposedly working together hand in hand despite being what are essentially eternal enemies, though while he does hold some sympathetic views towards both parties, the thought of skirmishes breaking out between the two and possibly getting the 103rd swept up in them brings a grimace to his face.

No matter though, for his objective overall remains the same. Retake London, repulse the Londoner's, and hopefully return back alive with both him and his men, for he'd rather not leave his wife alone in this god forsaken world.

I frankly don't have much to say here. How I'm planning to play the Vexillum is pretty much the same as how I played him in City 24.

Though taking a much more aggressive role though in the Field, essentially taking the role of a Field Commander. A grim realist at the same time, he isn't one of the more stuck-up officers in the Field unlike training, where EVERY possible advantage must be utilized to win, protocols and handbooks be damned.

But if the situation deteriorates far enough, his loyalties might waver, self-preservation is still present within him, but discreetly views both the Republicans and Futurists with suspicion and doubt. He has also pretty much accepted he might lose his life in City 2, possibly leaving behind his family that consists of his parents. In the end though, on paper and in public he fights for The Union first and foremost, but behind it all, he fights for himself with a dangerous gamble that might either reap him generous rewards or cost him everything

Having taken part in the Collapse and Ceres events along with Militarization Order No.1 as the Vexillum, this is the long awaited Arteria Gaming, and I want a piece of it.

Conrad David

Conrad david volunteered to fight against the armed forces of city two. He had no idea what he was signing up for, all he knew was that he was going to be sent somewhere to fight, Conrad, bored of life, decided to take this opportunity to join the 103rd antlion battlion Beta squad. He met a lot of friends there, and even some enemies, such as Andre Jackson. He isn't a loyalist, he doesn't really care for anything that isn't booze or women. But he quickly learnt that he made a big mistake when he signed up...

Cornad has always been somewhat of the class clown of the 103rd antlion battlion, which helped him make friends, but also made him the target of his higher-ups who do not like his attitude. He even had a revolver pointed to his forehead. Once they arrive at city two, Conrad would be quite cocky and arrogant, he thinks that this will be an easy fight, but as time goes on, and as the situation becomes more dire. The cracks will starts to show, Conrad would start to panic and become sloppy, he may even break down if the situation is too much for him to handle.

If Conrad somehow, SOMEHOW survives this event, his personality will change depending on how bad it was, if the fight was easier then anticipated, then he'll come back mostly the same, but he would be even more of an asshole and his ego would be through the roof. If the fight was tough, Conrad would come back shaken, he'd be much more quiet, but he'd be able to recover from what happened. But if the war was a complete massacre. Conrad would return with extreme PTSD, and would have to take plenty of consuling and therapy to bring him back to his normal mental state

JAVIER FLORES
Javier Flores is a well known member of the 103rd antlion battlion being the radioman for his squad, Squad B.
He had made a lot of friends in the battlion, getting some extra ration from his partners, challenging them to race againts him (No one could beat him in a race) and being know as a Casanova to try and get a female CP that was always there.
But Javier knows what he had sign up for, he know that maybe he won't came back alive and much of his squad friends will die in City 2.
Then why he sign up? Because he was boring of the live in the city, he wanted something more...
even if that cost him his live.
He only fight because he wanted to do something more interesting that to do workshifts and all that stuff.
He wanted to be free, event if it was for a short time before dying
And what would be more interesting than to die while bullets flyis over your head?

I'm going to play Javier as one that pretend to care for his comrades, but depht knows he caremore about his life that anything else.
As the radioman of Squad B and being likeamong his partners, he would try to act as a leader. He will encourge his companions to try and fight back, to be brave and do it for the Union. But, if the situation seens very bad, he wuld throw does ideals away and try to survive on his own.
Flores would try to be someone he knows he is not and will try to be the leader he wanted to be in his dreams.

A Brit versus his own kinsman, Keller served in the Military-Arm Arteria before and was wishing for an political life within City Twenty-Four, however, the war in City Two had called him back into service as a Nominal in the One-Hundred and Third Antlion Battalion. He deployed his training that he was taught in City Twenty-Four and he fears the worse for City Two and the 103rd Antlion Battalion. They are not ready for the war, for the urban warfare of London.

A man who experienced the Military-Arm Arteria once before, Keller takes the realistic view of battle, he knows that senseless sacrifice is not the correct way to win London back from the London's resistance. He was once a Londoner himself and he hates to see the condition of London as it is. Keller will try to persuade his fellow peers to continue forward, look up and that they will be hailed as heroes when they return. Desertation will only lead to death by the Combine in his eyes, the alternative is always worse.

Hudson is a thirty-year-old man born in London. Before joining the Arteria Arm, he had no purpose. He's just a lonely man. The biggest reason for him volunteering is his wish to see his birthplace once again. Hudson is aware of his slim chances of leaving London alive, but he is somewhat prepared to die, at least he thinks so.

I'll intend to think about every order and command given. Hudson isn't the kind to blindly follow orders. My character will also start slowly falling into madness if he sees his fellow soldiers die, especially if he knows them. I want to keep him very real. That means he just might lose his mind if he survives that long.

Peter Hoeeg, conscript & member of Squad E, Epsilon-5. Twice he failed the CP recruitment program, but he is yet to lose his unfounded faith in the union, as he gets transported to the frontline of City 2. With no family that he knows of, he has little to lose by offering his services to the union in city 2. While he understands it'll be literal war, he doesn't believe it's that bad in city 2 - why else would they send them? Peter Hoeeg aims to survive, but also to prove himself, so that he might try for a third time in the Civil protection recruitment programs, fulfilling the promise he made to himself the moment he arrived in city 24.

- Inexperienced: Peter Hoeeg has little to no experience with actual combat situations. He will hesitate at times, get frightened at some of the horrors of war & so on.

- Foolhardy: Not afraid of performing extra dangerous tasks, as long his sanity is in check. An example could be, if he was ordered to defuse a dirty-bomb, he'd generally be more inclined to than others. High-risk equals high-reward is exactly what he is betting on.

- Xenophobia: He shows visible disgust at any and all alien creatures, much more so if they attempt to imitate humans, like trying to speak English.
