Why do you want them to be banned?:
I've recently come back to the server after a year and after initial positive reception Alfie has decided to harass me unsolicited. This all links back to a situation a year ago where a large OOC kerfuffle and metagame led to a falling out between him and I. He also did not appreciate me leaking his steam logs to use as evidence against him in a post which has long passed.
I thought I could simply rejoin the server and just let bygones be bygones but it's clear that this harassment indicates he is holding a major grudge against me and is attempting to antagonise me in order to obtain some sort of reaction. Frankly I do not appreciate being mocked about the circumstances around the death of my character nor do I appreciate his homophobia. Ordinarily I would let this go but because it's Alfie and our history I would like this nipped in the bud and make it clear that is not acceptable behaviour. I also believe that he will begin to target me in game in order to sabotage or OOCly coordinate my demise and from knowing him back then that is pretty much what is going to happen.
As a member of the Vortigaunt faction he should be setting a standard for other members of the community. I haven't spoken a word to him since coming back so again this is a retaliation against me for events that happened over a year ago and him attacking me for what happened back then - maybe to get a reaction out of me and try and implicate me in a bad light. I just want to play the game so please, let him know that I'm not going to tolerate his harassment.

How long do you think they should be banned for?:
I leave this to your discretion. I just want him to leave me alone and stop attacking me for reasons which are ancient history.

Hi Chris.

Thanks for sharing all of your concerns when it comes to the videos and comments sent by another player to you over discord.

I reached out to you in private messages to gain more context around why this thread was made and what transpired, and I’m taking this into account when formulating a plan of action here. Many of the actions & reasons we’d typically point to for banning someone, in this case Alfie, have already been punished in the past.

Willard has a tendency to give second chances, and third, and fourth, and we can’t really double jeopardy someone even if their past conduct isn’t up to the standard we want in the community. That being said, I completely understand why you’re so concerned that you were prompted to make this thread and get server administration involved. We’re going to be reaching out to Alfie and making it explicitly clear that any unsolicited harassment or snide comments in discord will not be tolerated. We think it’d be best for everyone if you both blocked each other and tried to continue using the server as normal, as the current, present evidence provided here isn’t sufficient for hard action like a ban. Thank you again for bringing everything to our attention, and I hope you can enjoy the server despite the outcome of this request.
