Audio Log 5: Outbreak!!
​

*The sounds of running could be heard, then the sounds of an electric door slamming closed as the sounds of tripping and falling would be made*

Bill: "He.... hello?"

Bill: "Ok... good, this damn PDA survived"

Bill: *sigh* "Things are not good out there! we just lost containment and we're screwed now!"

Bill: "We just recently put the finishing touches on the lab and we've already gotten ourselfs in a mess"

Bill: "We encountered a few new types of headcrabs and zombies, we identified one of them to be a combination of the barnacle and a zombie"

Bill: "It would appear that on death, they seem to burst into what is likely barnacle spores and regular xen spores, this amalgamates to a strange wheezing cough for a short period"

Bill: "We also encountered a much buffer and faster variation of the gonome, it seems this is more tank like, charging at you like a bull and also does not use it's ranged attack at all!"

Bill: "We managed to get a hold of one, but it's one of the reasons I'm inside of a safe room right now"

Bill: "it's very difficult to contain with small arms, so my chances of killing it if it got in here are very slim"

Bill: "But on the other hand, we also learned what the next stage for a none attached headcrab is, it would appear it's a jockey like creature, it seems to attempt to choke it's target"

Bill: "It's possible though that it doesn't realize it's size, so instead it can only choke, that being said, some of them that are around large numbers appear to be able to understand this, and will instead try and lead the person it's on towards danger, such as the edge of a cliff"

Bill: "And don't get me started on the fast zombies, it would seem they are still growing in numbers as some of the select few of the headcrabs in the hoards evolve into new versions of headcrabs"

Bill: "Alright, I got to get the hell out of here, I need to find a safer place to be..... Bill out!

*The sounds of running would then again be heard as the familiar sounds of the same door opening and shutting would be heard, then fallowed by static as the log would cut out*

Audio Log 6: Protocol 139

*The sounds of static would play, this would be fallowed by the sounds of walking on metal, then the log would be begin*

Bill: "The date is Aug- *static* 2002, and I've almost made it to the exit"

Bill: "I've begun the first few stages of protocol 139, which means: in the event of a facility wide disaster, protocol 139 must be executed by a lead science team member, which entails the process of backing up any major data obtained by said facility"

Bill: "I so happen to be a lead science team member, so I have taken on the task of doing so, in hopes that one day humanity will repopulate the planet as its prime species once again, and will stumble upon this lab, and obtain the information we worked to get so they do not make the same mistakes we did"

Bill: "Once I have completed this task, on my way out I will stop by armory near by that is supposed to be equipped with heavy weapons that should heavily assist me on my way out of the facility, from there I will tread my way to the exit of the facility!"

Bill: "Once out I will head to a car rental near by, I will stash up on some supplies and then I will begin the long journey to Kosice, Slovakia"

Bill: "There I will make the decision of if I want head south east to lab B6 located in Konstantin, Varna"

Bill: "Or make my way north east to lab A4 located in Gomel, Belarus"

Bill: "I'm hoping that at least one of them didn't suffer the same fate that we did"

Bill: "None the less, I need to begin the process of backing up the data as per protocol"

Bill: "Bill out!"

*The log would cut, ending in static as usual*

*the audio log would end suddenly, being short and hard to make out*

Audio Log 26: Freedom..... I hope

*The sounds of static, then the log would begin*

Bill: "I've m4de it 1nto the maintenance tunn3ls, still some slight in1erference but most 0f what I'm saying can be m4de ou1"

Bill: "I've just nearly escaped 1hat damn thing and I've almost made it 1o the 3ntrence p0int, I can't let 1t escape"

Bill: "1he hav0ck it would cause would b3 devastating, even if the world's governments are most likely whiped out by now I cannot allow it to escape"

Bill: "It's jus1 to damn smart, it's managed to find me multiple times, even in sophisticated hiding spots, and after watching it, it would seem it is a sort of leader"

Bill: "I'm not shore what to think of it, but I know for a fact that whatever it is, it definitely some kind of cross between a gonarch and a gonome, I suspect that the gonarch is likely more of a queen, while this... this Zomnarc! is some kind of king, leading other headcrab lifeforms"

Bill: "Yes! I've made it to the exit, thankfully I've formulated a plan to hopefully keep this beast at bay, until more advanced humans can kill it in the future"

Bill: "You see, when we set up operations here, we encountered a massive chasm underground, we've identified it to be a result of seismic activity as a result of the portal storms that have been raging across the earth"

Bill: "this is due to a near by portal storm that happened, causing the ground to shake and open up a subterranean chasm, this seems to go very deep, we never got a chance to explore it yet, but we have thrown many things down there, such as debris and piles and piles of dirt we needed to get rid of"

Bill: "Basically the place is just a giant dump, well the bridge is automatic, so it can be retracted, my plan is to retract it as the creature is chasing after me, but just as a failsafe, in case the power is down, I will blow it up, that being said, I cannot do that unless I am on the bridge, and in that case, I will have to sacrifice myself"

Bill: "The only reason I won't test it now is because it would make to much noise if it does work, so I have to just hope it will"

*The sounds of roaring could be heard, fallowed by the sounds of hoards and hoards of zombies charging*

Bill: "Oh no!!"

Bill: "I guess I'm doing it now, then I'm free!"

Bill: "just need to punch in some numbers, and, aha! That should do it!"

*Error! bridge retract failure detected*

Bill: "No no no!

Bill: "well, it seems there is only one other option...."

Bill: *beep* "ahhhhh!!"

*The sound of a bomb beeping could be heard, the beeping would get faster and faster until.... BOOM!!*

*A massive explosion could be heard, followed by crumbling as thousands of headcrabs and zombies as well as the zomnarc would all fall into the deep deep pitiful chasm, the audio log would then cut*
