You've currently entered a mixture full of expectation.

Your benefactors told you it would be a paradise.

That was a lie.

Two of the three Overseers were murdered, and the mining camp stands the strongest of all...

... Unified. Together.

Many have witnessed the YETI - some admired it too closely, before eviscerating what remained of them.

The Houndeyes are being treated with severe animosity.

Traders toppled inward, selling their wares while the Oil Baron sits back from Anchorage, watching his operation unfold as it does.

This was merely the first day.

What did you enjoy most about the event today?
What did you enjoy least about the event today?

What do you want to see more of?
What do you want to see less of?

Is this an accurate representation of the Frontier in Alaska?
Does the portrayal of the Combine being ill-involved prove beneficial to the event?

Have the staff team and event runners been helpful to you / not helpful to you?
Was the starting time / play time within your reach?

How would you rate the event in its entirety?

I unfortunately didn't experience much of the event. I decided to disconnect and spend my time on something else, given the disappointment I was struck with today.
The GMing and atmosphere was really good, and the Creative Team did great in that regard, but the roleplay quality of the players did not match. For some reason I expected higher quality roleplay than what is ordinary for Willard (which isn't high either way), but I got just the opposite.

After getting GM'd by somebody for a while, being all in the mood and getting along with the atmosphere created by the event-runners, I come across two groups of people. One of the groups was running about barely saying anything, and the other one which I met a few minutes later almost minge-pushed me off a cliff with no roleplay and then ran off. I didn't know I was playing ricochet.
This, complimented by me tabbing out and seeing two groups of at least 5+ people in a VC in the discord, turned me off and ruined the vibe completely, so I decided I've had enough. At least for the day.

What did you enjoy most about the event: Hearing about Overseer's dying.
What did you enjoy least about the event: Weaver completely ignoring me when we first lined up in the miner camp when he assigned jobs.

What do you want to see more of: the labor leaders in the miner camp actually doing their job.
What do you want to see less of: The Labor Leaders being incompetent AND LESS RUSSIANS, THE AMOUNT OF RUSKI's GODDAMN..

A very valid concern that sadly we can’t do anything about. Otherwise thank you.

Event's been fairly fun but I'd say rather poorly balanced in some aspects.
>Miners having a shit ton of guns and armor.
>Comms having a bunch of clothing.

I really liked the "Yeti" Wasn't what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised.

the idea was to balance the three stations between guns, medical supplies, and misc. equipment. We also took into account how “nice” a station was and its location. Ultimately turned out a bit differently though.

I've taken a step back from playing as a player character during this event, primarily playing as event characters (Only Kivi today, bless her cute Houndeye heart), and GMing for everyone who needs one, or doesn't need one.

A lot of the RP so far, a vast majority, has been player driven. As a GM, people have requested me to do all sorts of things today that I didn't think I'd see the playerbase doing - heck, I had to make a few new custom scripts today, from cups of melted snow that people were cooking up as water, to bottles of Houndeye blood that got people sick in the stomach when they drank it (they thought alien blood was a good water source).

Even as I'm typing this, I just sent a shitton of antlions after the mining camp, which followed a pair of guys up after they looted for too long, giving the miners a nice combat event whilst making sure not all the loot was stolen.

So, yeah. A lot of creativeness and fun that can be sent into this event, with plenty of player-driven or player-caused RP. Glad people seem to be enjoying it; As a GM, I certainly am so far!
(It's 4am and I'm still GMing, I better be enjoying it or I deserve a pay rise)

First day. Awesome.
However, a lot happened in one day alone, and my concern is due to that, after like 3-4 more days in. It'll get stale.

Comms is meant to be the peaceful loyalist camp, it is set up on a hill that can easily be defended, the mining camp is *right* next to an antlion nest, the miners need the guns much more than the comms camp does. Comms was *meant* to be the more peaceful camp.

there is a reason a big portion of the map is sealed off, there will be more to do in the coming days, the event will end when either everyone dies or if the camps succeed, the former seems the most likely after everything that happened today.

That was fun drinking the blood and then having to hurl my guts out in a bush in the middle of a town meeting appointing the refinery's new overseer

I was the one who harvested those containers/bottles of blood. Engaged in a little bit of bloodletting for a nutritious iron-rich blood meal.

Didn't end with just Houndeyes, as you can see.

What did you enjoy most about the event today?

The politics of it all! I loved having to navigate a very difficult landscape of shifting tensions!

What did you enjoy least about the event today?

OOC drama, but it always happens. Also; it's really, really, really difficult to get food and water and stuff. No trashbags or crates to grind, so I'm kind of at a loss in how to progress, when all of our stuff was boosted.

What do you want to see more of?

All the roleplay, the politics, the cool events! Also, more people in Refinery. We have none, now, pretty much. A lot deserted. Looking forward to the fresh start though.

A way to communicate with allt he workers would be good actually! I'm struggling to organize the members as it is.

What do you want to see less of?

Actually, it's all been pretty cool!

Is this an accurate representation of the Frontier in Alaska?

Feels like it. I always feel like I'm a single bad move away from death.

Does the portrayal of the Combine being ill-involved prove beneficial to the event?

ENTIRELY! It's all person based. I love it.

Have the staff team and event runners been helpful to you / not helpful to you?

Um, mostly helpful! Very helpful. Custom scripts, allowing us to pick up props and use them as weapons, etc. Had some minor interpersonal issues, but other than that, very good!

Was the starting time / play time within your reach?

Yes!

How would you rate the event in its entirety?

9/10! Only room for improvement would be some ways to start grinding a few crafting materials! I was trying very hard to find one, as my character would be out hunting for food, and such, but it seems to all mostly be admin intervention.

Vladoskiy here

What did you enjoy most about the event today?: I just loved being scared as fuck, not knowing was going on, and trying to make a fire in the wilderness. Oh and also, the yeti was fucking scary. I remember trying to get to a house, being lost, hearing the Yeti's soundtrack, clueless that he was near.

What did you enjoy least about the event today?: The yeti was missing textures.

What do you want to see more of?: I'd like to see proper freezing mechanics if you don't build a campfire, instead of someone GM'ing it for you.
What do you want to see less of?: I dunno.

Is this an accurate representation of the Frontier in Alaska?: I guess so, I always felt I was about 2 or 3 seconds before death on this event.
Does the portrayal of the Combine being ill-involved prove beneficial to the event?: Yeah, that means I can go kill everyone and the combine cant do anything about that! I mean, what?

Have the staff team and event runners been helpful to you / not helpful to you?: Very helpful, and as this was my first event, whoever was GM'ing my survival in the Alaskan Wilderness was very nice and professional, though sometimes didnt respond

Was the starting time / play time within your reach?: Yes, but about 2 or 3 hours later, I had to go to sleep.

How would you rate the event in its entirety?: 11/10

What did you enjoy most about the event today? All over the map little and big events were happening and whoever you spoke to had interesting stories about the events they were involved in. Also loved the atmosphere of the map and music.
What did you enjoy least about the event today? The first couple of hours were pretty boring for the start of the event. I was assigned to refinery and I think most people can agree that it was pretty bad leading up to the death of the refineries overseer.
What do you want to see more of?
Want to see more
environment events, for example coming across a damaged combine APC which can be looted for gear of resources.
What do you want to see less of?
Hard to say since it's day 1

Is this an accurate representation of the Frontier in Alaska?
If it's fun it's fun
Does the portrayal of the Combine being ill-involved prove beneficial to the event?
Yes, I feel like my character will have more roleplay opportunities without the combines involvement.

Have the staff team and event runners been helpful to you / not helpful to you?
The members of staff I have encountered so far have been helpful as a helpful person can be helpful. 10/10
Was the starting time / play time within your reach?
Yes

How would you rate the event in its entirety?
9/10

I think I'm gonna be a bit open ended with how I write this while adhering to the format at least somewhat.

I've expressed this before, I think, but I like the 'work together or die together' environment this place fosters. It promotes a teamwork that is almost autonomous, due to the dire circumstances. I also liked undertaking a somewhat leader position, contributing ideas to the place to keep it running.

I honestly didn't like being confined to one place but that's a minor gripe. It still fostered plenty of good rp. I like the dynamic my character has with the others, and it feels good to have people rely on you, but it simultaneously gets very exhausting. I also kinda disliked how fast the other camps dissolved but it is what it is.

What I would like to see more of is simply what there already is. Mutual teamwork, tension under a hostile environment. It's a great dynamic.

What I would like to see less of...well, honestly, on this front I got no complaints. I've liked the event a ton so far.

Is this event accurate? I wouldn't know, but I like it still.

Have staff been helpful? I haven't relied much on staff assistance, outside of getting some props placed due to lack of PET flags, but I still appreciate what they've done for the event.

And the starting time was pretty in reach, I played for a good few hours before having to go to bed.

Overall : 9.7/10

What did you enjoy most about the event today?
Politics, teamwork, mentality of the people, especially their fear as most were sent to their death without knowledge
What did you enjoy least about the event today?
We've had a minge or two, but they weren't too much of a problem. Produced some interesting RP.
What do you want to see more of?
Dangerous events, looting opportunities, combine supply drops in the wild...
What do you want to see less of?
I think global events such as an overseer dying should not be globally broadcast, but instead only the overseer should be notified
Is this an accurate representation of the Frontier in Alaska?
It's incredibly fun, difficult and better than I envisioned.
Does the portrayal of the Combine being ill-involved prove beneficial to the event?
Yes! It creates an amazing atmosphere
Have the staff team and event runners been helpful to you / not helpful to you?
Yes, they helped us with any issues, were it basic supplies that were lacking, help with bugs, placing props, ...
Was the starting time / play time within your reach?
It was within my reach, although I haven't had much time to stay in because it started pretty late for me.
How would you rate the event in its entirety?
10/10 so far, probably one of the best rp-related events i've participated in so far! (and I've started with roleplay around 6 years ago)
(for others: acquiring food is not hard, it's enough to kill and butcher a zombie/antlion with tools, about water, no clue)

Together!
Ora et labora!

What did you enjoy most about the event today?: Amount of roleplay.
What did you enjoy least about the event today?: Its way too hard to get food and water, as well with resources. I think the breakable crates should be added, and the military crates for something like the checkpoint. I'm really at a loss to how we are supposed to progress with nothing to collect, especially with how Everything is already looted and boosted on multiple characters.

What do you want to see more of?: More environmental events and looting opportunities, everything is looted and you can't even get anything else.
What do you want to see less of?: Minge groups

Is this an accurate representation of the Frontier in Alaska?: I would say so, as long as its fun.
Does the portrayal of the Combine being ill-involved prove beneficial to the event?: Yes, its way better without them for once, and you can actually have peace for once.

Have the staff team and event runners been helpful to you / not helpful to you?: Yes, way more better than the main server.
Was the starting time / play time within your reach?: Yes., though I could not play long due to how late it started.

How would you rate the event in its entirety?: 9/10

My personal opinion is that it would've been better if the server was kept under a password. The whole idea behind the event was great, but the realisation of it was a complete disaster. I was under the impression that it would've been locked to only those people tha have made it into the group, which would've been fine. But with the server being open, it created a whole lot more unwanted possibilities. Yes, I'm partly speaking about Hox's death, and yes. I am also starting to assume that his death had some OOC factors to it. But enough about that. Overall, my experience with it isn't good, it's bad. And it makes me want to drop Willard, but at the same time I don't want to drop it. Yet.

What did you enjoy most about the event today? The feeling of roleplaying a vortigaunt is honestly so surreal in the event, just because you're a vortigaunt you instantly feel a sense of safety and confidence as you navigate the frost, Vortal sensing allows you to never lose sight of other vorts which makes sure we're never separated if we go out together, it allows for very bold expeditions like the one we did just to get water, we rinsed an entire hive of antlions with around 5 or so humans and 3 vorts in a party of 8 and it was honestly spectacular.

What did you enjoy least about the event today? Most people have said it, this doesn't affect the tribe as much but it was still an issue, Even without the need for weapons or clothes we still struggled to find water, our only sources after 1 day being 3 bottles of booze and a Xen pie, the pie we found at the end of a dungeon where I man ended up dead, and I reached the verge myself.

What do you want to see more of? Make it slightly easier to gather food supplies, it's the only type the event needs atm, everyone's already armed to the teeth so giving them more would get absurd very quickly.

What do you want to see less of? Not really anything on this front yet.

Is this an accurate representation of the Frontier in Alaska? I have no idea

Does the portrayal of the Combine being ill-involved prove beneficial to the event? It's literally the one thing that enabled the tribe to stay ALIVE for more than one day, it's crucial for the event, otherwise we're getting wiped in an hour.

Have the staff team and event runners been helpful to you / not helpful to you? They did plenty alright, The tribe mostly had at least one GM monitoring us to offer events regarding the vortessence and people who entered the cave.

Was the starting time / play time within your reach? I went to sleep at around midnight my time, I read DM's in Vort flux that were written at 1AM, so I think I missed something major even after playing for 3 to 4 hours (BST / GMT+1)

How would you rate the event in its entirety? 9/10
