A little wisp in the wind. That is all that we are in this God forsaken city.
Multiple notes are placed around the Underground of City i17
Each one seems to be hand written, pinned to the wall with the familiar Lambda Logo.
It reads:
My name is Booker Brightfin. I was never supposed to be the supposed leader of the Lambda Resistance cell in i17, but I’m grateful for my time being the leader at the end of my time in this hellhole.
I know what Mabre is planning, and I pray to Christ she can pull it off. After all we have done, the deaths you City 24 folk have caused should not be in vain. I will not lie, I wished you tourists could have pulled off our work in a more professional manner, but in the end of all of this if you finally get rid of this damn smog that has been killing our people I will forgive all your faults.
Mabre, if you are reading this: I apologize for not being there to fulfill the end of your plan. You may not have the best judgment, but by hell you have BALLS. Save this City. Save my people.
My men in the City have all they can at this point to have a distraction in play for when the time comes. If they pull it off, I will not know as I will be long gone by the time action goes into play.
As for me, I’ve been called off to an expeditionary force tasked by Black Mesa East to scout a new location in what they call ‘White Forest’. If I ever make it there alive. If I hear good news about your success in City i17 perhaps I’ll have my folks in Lambda send you all a gift in City 24.
Perhaps better yet, you will see me on an expeditionary force or mission in the future.
For now, all I can do is pray you save what I held dear for so very long.
Goodbye City i17.
Goodbye Matar.
Goodbye Hex.
And remember.
NEVER STOP RAVING, KILL YOUR FUCKING FOREMAN!

Special thanks to @Kappatalist for letting me play this amazing character during this event. I hope I can play him in the future.
Also big thanks to @Merlinsclaw for his work on my characters emotional development. Matar's death was non in vain.
Shout out to all the other rebel leads who helped me along the way to make this story.
