//This is a serious discussion, Please do not berate other members or go out of your way to post mean spirited or vitriolic remarks or content in response we want to keep this civil.//
Lately the city has felt fairly dull as it doesn't feel that there's much really going on after a certain time on the server typically after 6pm EST and I think that this issue has been sort of present for months you see things like DOB/Shop rp being essentially dead safe for the motel which is arguably the last bastion of shop rp and further more you don't really seem to see rebels as much as you used to well.
Remember this time last year? London was seemingly lost an administrator was killed there was political turmoil in the streets you had gangs of loyalist paramilitaries backing silver tongued politicians who promised them the sun and moon and we'd see lots of player driven things like riots at the statue during the futurist rally the burning of slums there was the ISO Becoming the foundation for the modern OSF (this is a point of contention on the server but it is what it is).
Point is Willard seems to have gotten dull as far as life in the city goes maybe it's just me being out of the loop or mis-interpreting things going on but things just feel "Different" more lackluster so to speak as opposed to how they'd been the past two years or so that Willard has been open.
When did things start to drop off action wise? Obviously I know that roleplay isn't all about action scripts and s2k but it seemed for so long we had such a vibrant chaotic background or vibe within the city things were uncertain it seemed as if one side might try the unthinkable and try and stage a coup or the rebels might try and launch a major attack on the city. Now it seems rather Limited to isolated shootings/muggings the odd xenian/necrotic breach being where we see most conflict.
My point here is it almost feels like the CONFLICT in the story is either on the verge or is completely gone?
Maybe someone can enlighten me on things but from a loyalist/Citizen Pov it seems as if the resistance for example the player ran resistance is either just non existent or spend most of their days hiding in sewers mugging people or in the outlands trying to buy scripts.
2021 Mid-Late 2021 Loyalists.
-Militias creating inclusive RP opportunities for citizens. ( I.E Assisting CWU filling in holes, Making check points you could arrive within the city fresh on the server and gain some valuable experience in group rp through these which would help people new to the game or old refine/refresh their skills aswell as giving alternate paths for specifically aligned characters)
-Political tension.
-Cloak and dagger politics in some instances.
-Lots of events.
(2021-Early 2022) Rebels
-Bases
-Active Operations taken against CP forces in the cities.
-Unified force. (Though it's a mixed topic and isn't seen very favorably, Bottle street was a large unified cell which worked alongside many other groups towards a few goals, Look at their work with UFF and a few other minor groups at the time it seemed there was an end goal and a path towards it.)
-Player made attempt at an Uprising!?! (Despite how it was handled)
(Mid-Late 2022 Loyalists)
-Shops? (Dead essentially)
-Parties/Gala events (Rare but happen occasionally).
(Mid-Late 2022 Rebels) (On server Actions)
-Disunified. (Little to no co-operation atleast not properly)
-Seems to closer resemble gangs now then they do actual freedom-fighters. (Which I think really hurts their public image, Who other than a deliquent or someone casted from the system would want to work with people who do nothing but pick on people trying to survive and mug them?)
-Little Progress made in the city if any aside from a few very minor attacks on the power grid which are repaired quickly. (Within 1-2 days)
-Poor Public relations. (To their credit atleast they don't execute people who walk in and find their bases like i17 and BS rebels "Usually")
Rebels doing Nothing.
With the sheer amount of space the rebels have access to in the outlands/sewers/slums they could be doing so so much they could establish bases plant and grow food start propaganda campaigns to win hearts and minds, They could train new fighters. and co-ordinate with larger groups outside the city and yet it seems as if little to no effort is made, I remember at the start of Willard there was a group dedicated to growing food and feeding the needy, Now it seems the rebel focus is pushed towards grinding scripts and whining that there's not enough garbage spawns and wanting a map change. which I don't understand why V4 Is so desired by these people every other corner in rebel territory on V4 Had a CP checkpoint the FPS was terrible and you had few quick attack and escape points. T-7 Is better in every single way!
(With what I've said above of course there should be gangs and such but at the same time when found the Rebels should be condemning and punishing these groups who target civilians and loyalists and yet I've to see it happen.
Anyway I've gone on long enough of a rant here, If you have anything to add or want to talk about your experiences with the server and factions we'd love to hear them, But please KEEP IT CIVIL! I don't want a spam/meme thread opening up on what is supposed to be a legitmate discussion!
