As much as I desired to do a lot with the prisoners - the rebels launched Operation: Bagration on the prison. OH WELL!

Here are the fallen:

Hendrik Brikenhaus
Audell Holt
Vladimir
1712523546263.png - He stayed behind to loot the entire prison. He was assaulted by 2000000 Overwatch.

Did you enjoy the prison event and its custom content and did you find it satisfying to the aftermath of Fort L'ecluse?

I totally didn't hastily imrpov this whole thing with the GM team in under 24 hours with no plan what so ever. lmao
The rebels totally didn't escape en-masse because a strider decided to agro against a bird instead of the entire invasion force.

I surrendered to rebels as a guard and got executed by a prisoner

Amazing

(Wish we got to do some more regular prison stuff before the whole attack happened though)
9/10

I crashed the moment the rebels breached the main cellblock.

Reconnected and spawned infront of an AR2 rebel and got taken hostage.

Deserted, ran away with rebels, then ran away from rebels, deleted the char.

10/10 would cause prison riot again.

The Event Characters made it out, but the real ones didn't.

I loved this event, I felt like more could been done, a lot of setting up and stuff around the map was there, but nothing happened because the rebels bumrushed...

Prison Megaevent ??

I was a prisoner we were moved into the Workshift area and the back. Then there was a Antlion attack and rebels freeing us. 10/10 would do it again ( i did nothing )

wish there was something more regular prison fuckery at the start considering the map was made for it, but overall it was a p sweet evnet

Slapping cops and killing them was fun, i give this epic event a 9/10.
I would've loved to see more action and it would've been nice that it lasted for longer.

I prepared for the inevitable loss of the prison by grabbing a prisoner jumpsuit so I could pretend to be a prisoner

Then I just decided to help prisoners escape because the Combine left us with not even a quarter of a armoury, removed the zipties from a bunch of prisoners and gave one a crowbar

Then escorted a prisoner to the cave and also escaped

Took 5 dmg throughout the event (from a gm's /it)

Fired 0 shots, used my melee once, to kill a manhack (pacifist run)

Seriously though--

The start of this event was very messy and a lot of things seemed rushed. It was very clear that this event had little pre-planning, and that's because it did - it was planned in less than 24 hours. Personally, and this is only my opinion, a event like this should have more than one day's planning so all parties can prepare and so there can be more planned. It was... really silly that the Combine threw a bunch of rebels who had, just the day before, assaulted a Combine stronghold, into the worst, least defended prison imaginable. It's even sillier to imagine that the Combine have a prison that's so lacklustre and badly maintained. It's perfectly fine if you wanted rebels to have a way to survive and not be PK'd since the Castle event was extremely difficult and was also met with a lot of complications, but they were handed this on a silver platter.

This could set players expectations for the future. Expectations that losing in a extremely high-risk event will be met with a opportunity to undo PKs. This could lead to rebels then being more brazen and taking unrealistic risks in already dangerous events, thinking of the possibility of them being given a freebie.

This was not the best event that WN has ran. But, it is also probably not the worst.

As always - as with every event, it's all a learning opportunity.

Incarcerated 2.0 was C tier

I'm sure Incarcerated 3.0 will be S tier :3

I seem to recall this event from somewhere...

Overall, the event wasn't too great - it was mainly just an s2k event except the Combine side didn't stand the semblance of a chance given we were CPs with MP7s against basically double our number - including freed vorts (I'll talk about them more in a second). Now, I am in support of making things easier for rebel players in service of a fun event but it was a little mishandled here.

This event has also revealed to me that the vort changes make them officially OP at this point, at least from my personal experience. There's historically been a lot of debate about whether vortigaunts are overpowered or not - and for good reason, they were quite strong at the time and on a winning streak - though they definitely had weaknesses to be exploited, and part of the reason for their success was that they were quite co-ordinated and good at using their kit to it's maximum effectiveness.

Now vortigaunts have been buffed. Not only do they have a stunlock melee that comes with a shield (See Tuki's video) but they also receive armour damage in place of HP damage - which gives them significantly more effective HP than OTA, especially against non-pulse weapons. I'm still not entirely sure how this works - my only experience of the vortigaunt buff has been this event and the one yesterday, however it feels evident to me that they are currently way stronger than they should be and quite desperately need a nerf. (Sorry vortigaunt players, I'm an evil Combinite now...)

I hear there was meant to be a lot less S2K and the event was meant to focus a lot more on the prisoners and the CPs, which is why CPs were so limited in gear at the beginning, however this did not pan out - and the event ended up being a standard S2K event. As a CP, there wasn't any roleplay after my first death, though the RP I had before it was fairly enjoyable. The command units were getting drunk and there was NO radio cohesion, which was pretty fun. It seems we were sent there as the bad batch, which was a fun RP dynamic. This dynamic even withheld a bit of S2K, however, it did not withold our character's deaths.

The S2K was standard. Not really anything to say about it - it was about the equivalent to a dev server S2K test. To be fair, pretty much all S2K events are like this, and I'm sure it felt more special to the rebels who were playing actual characters.

THAT WAS ME, YOU GAVE ME THE CROWBAR

It was pretty fun, I found both events fun but the main problem being we kinda of rushed into combat too quick, but I think most of us didn't know this wasn't supposed to be S2K fest unlike the Escalation event. I would've done more than s2k but it went all way too fast.

In that case, it sounded like it was a fun short time doing PrisonRP by the others and I suggest the staff team to host a more lengthy PrisonRP some time in the future.

Should've been a two-day event, one day of prison antics, another for the eventual breakout attempt from outside invaders. I enjoyed the messy civil-protection RP.

Wasn't a prison, for future reference.

I enjoyed it very much. As some of the others mentioned as well, my only critique is that it felt a little rushed. There was a lot to do with the prisonrp aspect of the event. From guardsman interactions to prisoner interactions to work cycles to social dynamics to secret tunnels and stashes and plans and intrigue. . .But it fell short because the attack happened too quick. Not that I complain, it was still very fun and incredible for an event brewed over less than 24 hours to appease the rebel community. I just feel like a 2-day event would've gotten the most out of it.

Also, I was the bird that aggro'd the strider. You're welcome, webuls.
