MADNESS...

Harrowing times have befallen Industrial Twenty-Four; with the Consul's demise at the hands of his enemies, the last of the district's great protectors has fallen, and its enemies converge. Its leader was defanged, and with the district now pinned between the titans of the Parisian Rooster and the Genevan Eagle, the fate of Industrial Twenty-Four's autonomy loomed in the forefront of its citizens. Tacked on with the added threat of the infestation, which has threatened its way of life, Industrial Twenty-Four's position looks particularly tenuous.

The vile Parisians have not forgotten their debt and long in secret to liquidate our sector and its people. Conversely, the arrival of City Twenty-Four and the equally foul Transhumanists, under the barbaric Koshida Oda administration, look wistfully to the east, longing to replicate the cold asceticism and severity of the City Eight administration, a tonal shift which bodes poorly for its residents should the administration conclude its imminent annexation.

But the Eagle and Rooster are not guaranteed their way, for lurking in the shadows was Industrial Twenty-Four's own champion. Chairman Bloke, interim-consul, herald of Breen, pioneer and cerebralist: acting on the cutthroat advice of the late Consul, their loyalty to Breen, and conspiring with the powers at play, despite momentary setbacks, he has weaved his own path through this calamity, salvaging what scant remained and delaying our enemies, but now his deadline closes.

Chairman Bloke's model has raised the precedent high for the role of Chairperson, now occupying one of the most elevated offices in the district, and as his successor, will you be able to follow in his steps, establish your own legacy opposite to his, or will you cave and crumble to the interests that be, dooming our district.

STEP ONE: Campaign against complacency.​

Our wellbeing and our very way of life is at risk. Ineffective bureaucrats have run rampant and led us into ruination. Our city has been plagued by an infestation that has cut us off from even the simplest forms of communication. Candidate Chen-Ning seeks PROACTIVITY over REACTIVITY. Increasing participation and care from those who claim to be fighting for our city, but are spewing falsehoods instead. Candidate Chen-Ning has scars to prove his service to the community, and the times he has risked his life for the common people.​

STEP TWO: Reject false idolatry.

Humans are the reason why we have fallen so low; threatened by spores and zombie hordes up to the front doorstep of our homes and even the zone's Nexus. We are not all our own heroes, we should not all be praised. Those in positions of power are not our saviors, but those selected by Our Benefactors to lead. Our Benefactors are our guides, our visionaries, our true leaders. Appointed officials, however, are not.

STEP THREE: Maintain our finances.

Industrial Twenty-Four has flooded with rumors and whispers of an ongoing situation in terms of our financial problem. Under Beauregard and other persons, Industrial Twenty-Four found itself in a debt with City Thirteen. Many have said to be 'working on it', but how will it truly be solved? Through unity. The market of i24 will be focused on exports to other cities, and needs to work with corporations to properly secure itself a frontline against budgetary issues. We must work with industrial powers like Willard, Tenzhen, and Kaji. There are also plans for inducting the common people into this call to arms, and plans to ensure that every man has a job and that they are properly rewarded for their labor.​

It isn't a hard fact to grasp that those who're cast out from our society at-large often find themselves believing it impossible to earn their way back into the fold. This reckless line of thinking typically leads those who're most susceptible to anti-civil influence to fall into their clutches and become radicalised against our city and her occupants, lashing out against the innocent in their blind rage! It would be a major goal of my leadership to ensure the lower-class are provided with many more opportunities to earn their way back into the light of the Union, easing the burden of otherwise dangerous working conditions in times of crisis on our fellow collaborators!

Unity through collaboration, not through subterfuge.​

It has been proven time and time again that there are a select few members of the Collaborator's Party and above that prioritise their own throne they rest on rather than the good of the city and its contribution to the Union at-large. It would be a goal of mine to stamp out this corruption within our nexus and beyond, ensuring that our walls are not brought down from the inside by these ne'er-do-wells.

It is an open secret that this city is struggling financially- a major force in this has been due to the neglect that local businesses have faced within our sector. Throughout the course of the infestation, business owners and other workforces found themselves grinding to a halt due to a lack of organisation and preparation for a system outage. As these poor-souls cried out for aid, what did our current administration do? They brushed these worries off as unimportant, effectively freezing our economy! Under my leadership, preparation shall be put in place for future outages which ensure our system can continue to run smoothly even when we're disconnected from our bond to the Union at-large, no brakes being placed on our soon-to-be flourishing economy!

I, Simon Mcshain, am running for the position of the security council chairman. I am of tier three and I have no current employment. I was formerly part of the CMRU's research division as a junior researcher and I was part of the district watch. Even with these setbacks I still assist the district and the union, either through assisting units or helping fortify and gather resources for the CWU. ​

Loyalty through effort.​

It is one thing to say you are with and love the union. It is another thing to take action, no matter what it is, to prove this point. We must not only measure loyalty on words but also on what have they done to assist the district and the union.

Stimulating the economy through mass industrial expansion.​

Continuing economical operations as normal will not do. We must expand our industrial operations to such things as refining and extraction. I plan to survey the surrounding areas and the inner district for any and all valuable resources. This could include extracting metals, stone, and other materials through a mining system. Another addition to this is the thought of harvesting anything of value.

Promotion of accession.​

To fully ascend it is not a matter of simple collaboration or assistance. We must strive to not only assist the CP units and OTA but also to become one with them. While workers are needed as with the other civic unions, the goal of a loyalist should be to become one with the union. Leading, being part of the CCA, should only be done so others may ascend.

Combating anti civil elements.​

As long as the human element exists there will never be a species-wide consensus on anything. This prevents total accession, as such we will always need to combat the human, and by result, the anti civil element. To succeed in this task we must allow for a more fleshed out system for assisting CP units. This could include basic guides handed out to citizens that have shown a eagerness to assist civil protection. The guide could include what to report, when to report, what not to report, how to go about situations, and many more things that most have to learn through experience. This would allow for a more efficient system of citizen aided CP assistance.

Mister Bloke has begun this process with the District Watch, I aim to continue the great work he has begun and take it to the next level. Political Positions


Productivity
The average citizen wishes to work to improve our society. Productivity and loyalty is ingrained into our very being! I will endeavor to increase the opportunity, as well as streamline the process of being productive. I have done so in the CWU, I will do so in the city.

Vigilance
We must be vigilant from detractors who wish to hurt out city. Mister Bloke has begun this process with the District Watch, I aim to continue the great work he has begun and take it to the next level. District Watch members must be put under regulations, and if proven loyal, will be granted additional powers and equipment to serve the city.

Redemption for Ascension
Those who once wished to harm us may very well become our greatest allies. Those who have once acted as detractors and agitators against the city will be granted the leniency of mercy - In which they will work for redemption in the eyes of the law.​
