The ability for OTA to be completely exempt of the rule that "you can't return back to a fight after being downed" is completely and utterly stupid.
While only needing 20 HP to get up from bleedout (compared to a normal persons 33, or a vortigaunts 66). They can practically do permanent human wave tactics, without even having to send more than 1 wave, outfitted with some of the most busted healing items (health vials, morphine) it takes less than a minute for a soldier to get off of the ground and be back up to 100+ hp the moment they repair their armor.

Compared to non-ota players, who are forced to sit in a corner and wait for 15 minutes as everyone else dies, or having to run away and abandon their friends because they are oocly tied from retaliating.

I think this is extremely overpowered when comparing it to normal players, considering that OTA are already equipped with the most armor, the best weapons, and having 5 grenades for every soldier. (in squads that average 6-8-10-12, or, most of the time they just wing it and do whatever they want, because no one can really say anything considering guidelines are private so that you can't hold the players accountable)

Now, you can say "but ota are super mega powergame soldier characters with hubba bubba augmentations they don't have to follow the rules!!!" - A quote by the mentally ill.
And I think that's insane, considering most of the time, you WILL die to OTA and god forbid you hold back their average response of up to three waves, you won't even get any rewards for doing so (or if you do, it will be breadcrumbs comparing to what was spent.)
So, closing this off. If you won't even give people rewards for beating the most overtuned faction on the server, at least remove their ability to just powergame and roll over you. Dead OTA isn't the disaster that staff think it is, and it frankly does not affect the server at all.

(and no, this won't make OTA not be a threat, instead they'll have to actually stop w+m1ing everyone and everything)

Either make OTA not able to join the fight after bleedout but they get waves or remove waves and keep them able to rejoin the fight

And make their bleedout timer like 3 minutes or something to at least make it more fair.

All of these issues stem from poor players on the WL. Sam and I shot at an OTA that hid behind a concrete pillar that has his body sticking out half way. They have to over-balance for players that can't shoot or think.

You do realize... OTA are MEANT to be overpowered... Rebels have gotten to a point they get SO bold as to RUN INTO THE CITY to chase down units and kill them, and barely fear OTA. You need to understand without the actual OP tactics and mechanics they use. OTA would literally become almost as useless as civil protection. Well they really already are against vorts. The newest vort update actually rendered the current OTA rules/mechanics obsolete due to how OVERPOWERED vorts have become. A full vortessence vort gets an AOE attack, AOE beam attack. And shields.. That make them as portable cover for rebels in confined spaces. OTA don't get that unless they deploy a sniper or a wallhammer. and even then OTA dont get shields. There is no reason to remove the rule of them being able to go back into combat.

They are meant to be overpowered to keep you on your toes and to make fighting them a nightmare as in half life 2 and its universe.

Okay but they have 0 tactics and run around like idiots when you take out the admin APF. I'm not saying they're OP. I'm saying they're OP because they are played by people who can't S2K with a helsing. You have to learn to crawl before you can sprint.

This is true but the point remains, it being an event faction. If they had tactics (Which is part of why my faction got absolutely fucking SHIT STOMPED by rebels. We were using tactics and then they just fucking run in expecting us to act like OTA) They'd be very powerful. But for now, keep them in such a way that they will need to adapt, this is in the hopes Hiros or other overwatch leads will even care enough to change the tactics and rules of engagement for OTA, which is very unlikely. Because currently it works. Let the OTA take the L's for now. If they cant learn tactics then thats their problem, the rebels right now are so geared and powerful that fighting 4 waves of OTA is basically a cakewalk. I watched it today, you guys literally have 6 AR2's spread among 3 groups. thats approximately 2 per group that is FAR more then what the OTA deploy with, as they are limit to I believe it was 1 AR2 on wave 2 and 2 AR2s on wave 4 with a wallhammer and APF

Erm. My group has 1. And he's been around for 5-6+ months He always has 1-2 mags MAX

Well unless 5 AR2s just magically got removed from the economy (Which they haven't) Im pretty sure there's other groups with them out there probably from rebels who dont show their face outside of weekends. But I digress. They're out there; regardless of that though. Let the OTA continue taking losses. Remember, everyone seems to have forgotten.

You are not meant to fight OTA ever.
All of the rebels now seem to think because they have the hardware, they can just commit constant acts of terrorism, you cant. You should not. And then when it happens, and then people get punished by OTA deploying. They complain about it being unfair because everyone expects a super easy situation fighting CP's and picking off easy pray city cops. Then go *Surprised pikachu.png* when they suddenly get ass raped by OTA. This isn't an isolated problem. and RAD HAS SAID so has neonity. STOP the violent acts constantly or you will get fucked over.

***I myself am a rebel player, former rebel main. MY CHARACTER literally does the covert shit constantly for one of the groups present. She is literally a front for supplies and gear. She commits zero acts of terrorism nor does she want to.

yes, let punish the rebels, for wanting to, rebel. You act like rebels daring to beat OTA is somehow a cardinal sin. OTA are non-characters, basically NPCs, who job is to be basic antagonists for the story, and them winning every time, is not a good story. The goal should be a good story, and that's it.

There is nothing wrong with rebel players, who want to strike back against them, and nothing wrong with player who want to do covert shit, both are fine, let people play the game how they want too., OCCly, at least i play this game to have fun, don't know about others, but shouldn't that be the main goal, for people to have fun and tell interesting stories.

its not a matter of punishing rebels. We're not in the middle of an uprising. The bigger picture is needed, the rebels in an IC standpoint, need certain goals completed to actually have a chance of winning. This includes the following:

1. Infiltration and information.
2. Scouting abilities and logistics.
3. An economically stable situation to back their effort.
4. The civilian population to be on their side to support their effort.
5. Proper leadership and planning.
6. Pre war, and post war plans. Both win and loss.

Without 1 2 3 4 and 5 The movement stops dead in its tracks and just ends up in an attrition war like it has been. Rebels take losses. OTA take losses but get replenished because they are literally robots that can be made again from prisoners or volunteers. Rebels cannot take the losses because they are fighting literal super soldiers that can be replenished faster then the human race could give birth even if you could reproduce. Without the citizens on your side (take today for example almost everyone resents the rebels as literally ALL OF THE CITIZENS under tier 5 got beaten within an inch of their life. Including several executions of the underclass.) you're not going to win, you're not going to be able to rebel for long. As I said, this isn't just an isolated incident. This is a constant that rebels seem to not understand, they get a gun, armor, tote it around like they're a Nigerian war lord. And then die, and then cry on the fourms about it. I lost my 1 year old character to a fluke on an OTA shadow raid. SHIT happens. I tried to appeal it, it got denied. Done. Its fine. That wasn't even my own fault. Some fuckboy shotcopped shortly before i logged in. yeah shit like this happens. It shouldn't.

All its going to take is the rebels to take one step too far, and then result in a full on attrition war with several factions at once, and eventually that results in all the rebels being snuffed out. We all know its going to happen if the rebels keep doing stupid things like this.

i agree with this, but as of currently, the systems in place, don't allow this kind of of stuff to happen. Also, we can't ever win, the cabal will never allow that. And the end goal for everyone should be good story, not winning.

Not entirely true! Currently in place what the rebels are trying to achieve is to destabilize the industrial sector (The admins and GM's are supporting this effort best they can), however all they're doing right now is pissing the combine off. And not focusing on the logistics end of things nor the infiltration which as stated several times, is the backbone of them WINNING in this regard. Not just from me, but from staff as well. Things like breaking machinery in the CWU warehouse collapsing it, collapsing a train track. Taking vital infrastructure out of the picture with minimal damage to civilian life is the idea here, it is MORE then possible with the current systems in place. I do it on the daily. HELL i did it today. I managed to knock over turrets guarding a tunnel, and stash them away, which distracted the CP's long enough for people to steal things from the CWU because they were busy fighting off zombies.

great, but overall, there are still massive problems, regarding how rebels can interact with the story, and even if their actions have an effect at all.

Then we should address those problems when it comes to it, not scream for a nerf of a faction that barely gets seen outside of extreme circumstances. This is actually the same situation I had with my faction, the conscripts. Rebels absolutely complained out the ass about them because they got good gear and actually were a force to be reckoned with, as proven being deployed along side OTA, they are literally just weaker, more organized OTA soldiers, they are currently undergoing reform to be a more solid part of the server but they basically are just weaker OTA, using the same tactics and rules. Because of that they can literally just instantly be replenished; unlike the rebels who cannot.
