  • *Brief summary of the character: Veronica was born in spain was forced into Echelon at a young age. She did poorly in the program emerging as a blackband once released. She was forced to join the conscript as her social credit score neared zero. It was a choice she made.
  • *Why do you want to play this character?: Seeing as my group (for some very mysterious reason) is now hated I still wish to take part in this expo, but alas Jin will not be able to make her way. So this shall be a good compromise.

Veronica Perez born in spain was very young when the invasion hit, she was forced into hiding by her parents in her earliest years. However as the combine reformed into a civilian goverment she was forced into the Echelon program. Veronica was a rebel (not a literal rebel) since a young age, she questioned authority at every level, this contributed badly to her grades resulting in her being released from Echelon as a lowly blackband.

Veronica once released was persecuted at every possible moment, this prompted her to leave for the slums where she met a bandit group. Veronica joined this group and resorted to stealing from the less fortunate slum-dwellers. However this life caught up to her as she was caught in a sweet masked with a kitchen knife. She was lucky however, as her score tanked before being relwased.

Left with no choice Veronica was forced to look for odd jobs to try to boost her score or else risk imprisonment or execution. However luck was on her side as a flyer caught her eye. “Join the conscript guard to protect the city”, although her views were radically different this flyer promised a possible “way out” from her situation. She took it.

  • *Brief summary of the character: Nico Iglecias, a short and depressed man, part of the 51st regiment. Born only 6 years before the portal storms, Nico was forced into the Echelon program, at the same time being separated from his parents. When he was released from Echelon into the city, he enlisted into the 51st not out of will to kill, but out of desperation.
  • *Why do you want to play this character?: Like other members of the Shepherds, my char I applied with first has left for italy, and I will not be attending The Long March with him due to the fact the other players will try to kill him. So I'm applying for an event char instead.
  • Full Backstory (required for Event Characters, but others may do this if they want to):

    Nico Iglecias born in Spain just 6 years before the portal storms, and 9 years before the combine occupation. When the combine forces won, him, along all the other children, have been moved to Echelon facilities to raise them according to their needs. Nico however was not a very popular kid, often falling behind on subjects, due to his young mind being broken after being separated from his parents.

    When he was released at the age of 21, he was having a hard time integrating himself into society. He joined CWU for the sole purpose of being able to work alone, and not to become a visible liability. He was however, a loner even in CWU. Fellow workers tried interacting with him, but with time he was allowed to work alone.

    When the 51st started recruiting, the promises of increased perks, and possibly reuniting with their loved ones, basically forced Nico to enlist into the 51st. The very next morning Nico quit CWU, and rushed to the enlistment booth, and surprisingly got accepted, even due to his feeble body. But, this adventure did not went as well as he hoped for.

  • *Brief summary of the character: Kashy was a late medicine student before the world went to shit, he and his brother were splitted into different cities. Kashy never sympathized with the combine so he decided to join the underground. He is Polish, the urge to resist the oppressors circulates along the blood within his veins, though he never finished college he never stopped studying things around him, he loves to document and he's fascinated by the fauna and flora brought to earth through the portal storms. Since he joined the resistance he met and sadly lost most of his friends... The one whom he liked the most - Marshal died, and Kashy never had a chance to say goodbye. So he swore to avenge his pal.
  • *Why do you want to play this character?: Kashy is a interesting character, as i'm pretty new to the hl2rp, (I24 is my first full edition gameplay) Kashy is basically learning as i'm learning about everything, I really enjoyed this character and I want him to avenge his fallen friends like Marshal or Carson, even if it means dying in battle - because Kashy is Polish, this is something his ancestors would be proud of him.

  • *Brief summary of the character: A woman who has made it through hell and back--not only once. A Citizen from City-13, she was transferred to Industrial 24 where she had become a member of Mangement within the Civil Workers Union--Imprisoned, beaten, tortured, and starved daily for 402 days for a crime she didn't commit in City-Eight, the Combine deemed fit for her release to stabilize and rebuild Industrial 24 again; she became a member of the Conscription Force, and a member of the Worker Union again--forced to rebel with the help of a Vortigaunt once the City began collapsing on itself, now a Freedom Fighter attempting to settle down and live a peaceful life.
  • *Why do you want to play this character?: Sophie Beckett is my first ever character that I've made on the server. She has made it through a lot of things, and thus, I feel like she deserves a proper ending to her story.

  • Brief summary of the character: A loyal man, whenever he's committed to something/one he is committed. He was entirely loyal to the Combine for the majority of his life up until recently, when the combine is seemingly failing and the entire world is in a shift. Being left no choice but to rebel from his viewpoint, his mindset has developed massively since the abandoning of Industrial 24; His loyalty now lies to himself and a few close friends' survival.
  • Why do you want to play this character?: Provide an end to the character, especially seeing as I couldn't attend the last day of the bunker cause of IRL.

Brief summary of the character: ​
A Lithuanian national, forced into serviced, aiding the combine in order to save her own skin. Stayed in service because she cared for those under her watch, and there was not much else for her to do. Now stuck in some "bumfuck nowhere", waiting for with dwindling hope for the rest of her unit to return.

Why do you want to play this character: ​
Still wish to RP after “the end” and (hopefully) provide some fun for those that take part in the LM event(s). Plus I do have the CSF WL, so why the heck not.

Full Backstory:​

Born in the (not so) roaring 80s in the city of Šiauliai, Inese grew up in a rather large household, with three brothers and a sister. A rather peaceful and “fun” period of childhood and teenage years came to a swift end. Then the soviet union fell, independence came, and with it a young nation that hand to suddenly find its bearings in a world of opportunity and schemes. People were happy, free, but then came the “drawbacks of independence”. Recession, economy had to be rebuild, the whole system had to be built from scratch. Her father died in a car accident, and her mother was bed ridden because of it, to make it worse two of her brothers emigrated as soon as they could, leaving her alone with a family to look after.

“Protect the family, provide for your loved ones”, a traditionally masculine role now rested on her shoulders. Inese tried many different jobs over the years, none of them really... “sticked”. Sometimes it was because her workplace got shut down, other times because of her rather lazy-ish demeanour, a problem that plagued her since her childhood. And then there were the times she simply got unlucky.

Time flew by, her mother was now gone too, leaving only her with her brother and sister. So she enlisted, yes the job could get rather…unpleasant at times, the pay wasn’t that great but, it was something stable, something that also helped her improve on herself. The promises of future careers, of being an attractive pick for future employers sold it even more.

Then came the combine, world was turned upside down, Inese was now dragged into a world she did not want to live in. One of oppression and cruelty, a world of death. Once a volunteer, now a forcefully conscript, stuck in a system, hoping to prevent the death of the remaining members of her family in exchange for her service. And even though the “game changed”, the rules were strangely similar in the newly "created" armed forces... with a “few” exceptions here and there.

Inese fit in rather well all things considered and slowly over the years she “ascended” to the rank of a Sergeant, entrusted with it after her reliability in the field and care for those under her. Not that the life expectancy is long for the conscripts, especially those that joint out of a "patriotic feeling of duty", rushing into the machinegun fire without thinking first. Inese has seen her fare share of those, and of officers that couldn't care less for their troops. Of those who truly did not want to be here, yet were forced to stay. Despite this all, she pushed forward, doing what she can when she can.

Now she is stuck in a forgotten outpost, still hoping that her old brothers and sisters in arms did not abandon her and her team to die. This fake hope, delusion is almost like a swing set. Going from despair when no one looks to hope, when around those of her men who still remain. She is their pillar. She knows that she cannot break, because if she does there truly will be no hope left. But for how long can one really delude themselves? When cut off from supplies, from their allies, the minds tends to wander on paths that a “true soldier” should not entertain.​

Are you familiar with anyone around Willard Networks?: I'd say so, yeah. Considering that I play a lot and tend to talk with the others in discord I met a few people.

What's your favourite thing about Half Life?: Both the design, especially that of the combine, and the gameplay elements. It is a fun game with an interesting world, perfect deal.​

Nova Prospekt resident for about a week, being released several days prior to its destruction. Newly-minted 'rebel,' except not particularly.
  • *Why do you want to play this character?: This creature still has things to experience, and through-out the course of the Long March they ought see another side of the world more closely. Perhaps they might even find something they consider themselves good at.

Apparently another mundane, downcast refugee plagued by maligned health dawdling in the shadows of shelter, and yet, the spark of the eyes conceal a vast empire of forgeries. A lingering sprite, for as insignificant as it seems, drifts behind power with anticipation for any scrap it can muster, for a meager drop reaps the full bounty ...

*Why do you want to play this character?: I created this character specifically for this arc and would like to see through my little experiment of a character and make the most out of her story. I want to see if I can satisfy Marie-Noelle's ambitions and whether this will develop into something grander, or be sedated.

*Brief summary of the character:
Jon is someone with the best intentions in mind, his favorite thing is helping out the others.
A long living resistance member, carrying out the ideals of his leader Wildcard, whom was thought to be long dead.
A series of strange events has recently spread his consciosness across anchors around the earth and the borderwold in order to truly join The Lurker and his cause, thus his consciousness can now manifest as an apparition.

*Why do you want to play this character?: I would like him to see how the others will fare without him really present / he would like to accompany them until they are safe... or doomed.

  • *Brief summary of the character: Ishmael, the unreliable narrator and a former soldier of the Conscript Stabilisation Force with questionable morals. Seeing himself as nothing but a sole survivor of a barren wasteland, he does anything to guarantee his own survival and support his own view, having others take the fall for him. Not ready to know the truth, blocking it off in his mind to not take the blame for what he has done.

    Odesa, the widow of Florian, who bears complete selflessness. She never wanted to be a fighter, but believes that it'll fulfill Florian's wish for her to be brave and strong after his death. Having not much left to lose, she took up arms in order to bring purpose to her life for the last time.

  • *Why do you want to play this character?: Both of these characters are characters that I've shown a lot of love to, especially Oksana as she was one of my first ever characters. I've lasted a while with these two, and I want to give them a proper conclusion, whether it be a good or bad ending for them. I'm aware that it's two characters, and I'm not sure if two can be signed up for, but it wouldn't feel right to leave one to never play again.

Character Name: Thomas Keene Brief summary of the character: Thomas Keene is a 27 year old survivor originally from Boston, Massachusetts. He grew up in a family where both parents had to work and endured a difficult, pressure-filled upbringing that shaped his quiet and reserved demeanor. During the Combine’s occupation he became resourceful, level-headed, and morally grounded, eventually falling in with resistance elements operating in and around Industrial 24 and the Swiss Alps. Keene is practical, cautious, and deeply loyal to those who earn his trust, though haunted by the loved ones he can no longer see or potentially lost and the violence he’s had to commit to survive.
Why do you want to play this character?:
Thomas Keene is my main character in Willard Networks HL2RP, and I want to continue his story naturally within the world and alongside other players during the LONG MARCH event. He fits the setting well, someone hardened by the environment but still determined - and participating with him allows me to expand his development while contributing to the roleplay experience for others.

After having his explosive collar removed, gaining several promotions, medals and earning enough trust from his superiors in the force, Aleksander deserted and joined The Front at the first chance he got.
