Here, in this little nook they saw fit for me, I find a strange solace. All things are in their place: clothes, sustenance, my water, my food, neatly assigned, as promised. My station, my shift, my purpose, all accounted for, my role; their design. They stripped away 'their' world and handed me this measured sliver to call mine. And I bless it all. The Civil Union for its soulless efficiency. The Civil Protection for its constant gaze. The Administrator for his guiding hand, keeping humanity secure, keeping me intact.

Detached now, from thoughts that once festered, no need for family, for companionship, for the murky depths of passion or memory. My benefactors, watchful and pure, have excised the primitive scraps of my former self. I am refined, reshaped, better. In their hands, I am more than human, safe, unburdened, and complete.

My existence flows in simplicity, untouched by thought, unfazed by worry. I answer the call to work, a cog in the machine, turning in rhythm with the design. I respond to the call; rations, just enough to keep the gears moving. I bow my head, yielding to the forces that guide humanity. Days pass, I turn, endlessly.

I am past the need for childish impulses. Happiness, hope, love. Relics, cast off. I am myself, a clean slate, pressing forward, collective mind. No mistakes, no doubts, never alone.
