I know I am appealing for two people right now, but considering the fact we were RPing together and it's directly related to one another, I feel like it is only fair I speak on both our behalves, since we're on the same page on the matter.
To give a little bit of background, me and Charlotte McMadison work together in the same shop and also funnily enough by pure coincidence live in the same apartment as well. The two together bonded quickly due to Claire's kindness and Charlotte's friendly disposition. It came a time where Charlotte was patted down by a Civil Protection Officer and she was called an alcoholic by the said officer just because she had a bottle of beer on her. So she was stripped of it. Charlotte took it to heart and when I walked in the store fifteen minutes later, all I see is her sitting behind the counter on the ground being mopey. Claire being Claire, she went up to her and sat down, starting to talk her down and calm her. And at that point in time is the first time I ever had an interaction with Goose's character, who went into a closed shop to steal our radio on his Rank Leader. He spots us, orders us to be beaten and called us lesbians. Which, fair game, although excessive in my opinion, we live in a grimdark world.
The very next day. I see the same RL sitting next to the stairs leading to Victory and at the bottom of the stairs, lo and behold, Charlotte being beaten up again. At that point, I was starting to feel this is just targeting people and while I understand it's a cruel world, we're all here to have fun, I don't intend on spending half the day staying in a hospital bed, and the other half being in pain when I get released. I was promised that there was never any hint of OOC targeting behind these things but now I will actually go into the reason of this post.
I was actually banned last night. And I will proceed to give full disclosure to it. If administrators require it, I can show proof that I have inquired in steam DMs if it's not wiser for us to just cut here and move it on onwards onto steam DMs -IF- things do move towards a more illicit content. What happened last night was pretty straight-forward. Claire has been acting different ever since she was beaten up, because who wouldn't? It was a traumatic experience, she had a bottle smashed over her head, her head banged a few times against a table till she was unconscious. She was weary, and to find her co-worker beaten up twice? Also an important factor. So Claire and Charlotte had an emotional moment in which Claire opened up a little bit and apologized, telling Charlotte that the reason she stepped back was because of that. And Charlotte comforted her. So to make amends, the two agreed that in that night, they'd curl up together and sleep in each others' arms. And at worst, kiss on the lips.
I won't go into too much details anymore, because that's all the context to the situation. That's exactly what went down. The two were tired, they closed shop and went on their merry way to the apartment. The two got into bed and I believe there were only like...Two or three roleplay turns in which we only explicitly said that they get into bed, and they get close to one another and snuggle up. Maybe there was an odd kiss on the cheek, or a whisper saying that this felt nice, but -NOTHING- remotely more explicit than that. Now, perhaps I am not understanding the rules, but this morning, I read the rule for sexual roleplay three times over. I cannot define it, what is considered sexual? Because there was no nudity, no touching of sensitive spots, no talking that would suggest things were about to go down. Nothing that we did was with ill intention, and as I mentioned in the previous paragraph, I can even showcase the fact I did ask if this shouldn't be moved already. But we both considered that a simple cuddle and kisses on the cheek are not sexual. If they are, then I sincerely apologize for it, but I for one feel like that's not the case and if it is, a three day ban for something defined as 'borderline' is excessive, I think there is no harm in a warning for something that technically by the definition of borderline, is not even it, therefore, not a rule violation.
Now, the reason why I mention all the background behind all of it, and I will say I skimmed through some details to make a longer story short, I don't want to accuse anyone of bias or otherwise play victim. Because I want to believe it was an admin exercising due diligence and tried to stay as objective as possible, but I can argue there's a pattern here.
I also want to thank the people who take their time to read this and investigate the matter, I don't make a habit out of writing reports, I don't enjoy it, but I genuinely believe I am innocent to the accusation, and so is the person who was banned for it.
