Combine and Collaborate (C&C)
Headquarters: UNKNOWN
Purpose: To provide "New Arrivals" to the city a guild to network, learn, and labor, with common access to a physical space, security, and legitimacy.
Are you bored? Can't find work? Just wander the city, because there's nothing to do? Combine with us, my fellow citizen. Combine, and Collaborate. We make sacrifices for the good of the Union, and serve the administration. Each Combine Dove below represents a member of our group who has fallen, and remains unnamed and disguised.

All Members are Workers. Volunteering Workers may become Operatives full time or part time, while also maintaining work as Workers (if you desire). Board Members are the policy makers of the group. All positions can be applied for. This group does not have an active leadership hierarchy. The Board makes policy, but events are led by members who take initiative and organize a given Operation. We have three basic operations: Black Ops, Gray Ops and White Ops. Basic Structure:
The Board of Trustees are not leaders. Operatives who create and manage operations are leaders. The Board, represented by the Chairman, create and decide group policy. Operatives and Workers may become board members if they desire, and demonstrate the necessary loyalty and aptitude.

Workers are led by a Worker Detail Leader, who provides manpower for Civil Protection units to perform public work details in absence of the CWU. Workers can also provide basic, rudimentary life-saving medical response in the absence of the CMU. Workers scavenge, collect, source, and build for the group to ensure we are sustained and functioning. Workers fight inaction by banding together and creating adventure and productive action for the good of the Union!

About us: C&C began as an informal assembly of citizens with too much time on their hands, and not enough work from our benefactors to go around! Shopkeepers were over-hired or didn't want to pay for new labor, applications to the Civil Protection were closed or backlogged, the Civil Workers Union was not hiring work.... So we got together and made work. We assist the Combine in impromptu work detail when the CWU is not around. We provide security to innocent civilians in back alleyways when our benefactors are busy solving crimes and prosecuting dangerous criminals. We take on adventure. The organization gives us a headquarters element, support, legitimacy with the City Civil Administration, and opportunity to get involved.

HOW TO APPLY!
Always feel free to approach our headquarters in Apartment RB 1 - 4. Membership is permanent. Feel free to take as much time to yourself as you like, as there is no pressure to be continuously active. To apply for a position, formally, reply to this group advertisement and submit an application with the below information enclosed:

3. Position you wish to apply, to include, but not limited to - Worker or any Operative Position (Recon, Courier, Direct Action), or an available Board position:
4. Please list previous employment history and your reason for applying to the above position. If none, or are a New Arrival from another city, please state "None," or "New Arrival." Please share as much biographical history about yourself as possible. The more we know about you, the better we can manage your talent.
5. Do you swear obedience to the Combine and to our Benefactors?
6. Do you acknowledge that we must all obey Civil Protection, and that working may include public work details for little or no compensation by the Civil Protection, but only for the eternal gratitude of loyalty and appreciation towards the Union?
7. Do you agree to keep the names of your fellow employees secret, not to ask too many question, to stay in your lane and do your job, but to also take the imitative when necessary? As well, do you agree to report as a crime any person found to be violating the law to Civil Protection, immediately?
8. Do you acknowledge that C&C equipment is not to be abused, distributed or mishandled as a requirement of your continued employment?
9. Are you willing to conduct legal, law-abiding, but potentially risk-prone work with no hazard-duty or extra credit pay?
10. We will conduct a background investigation. Do you consent to a lie-detection interview? Upon acceptance, you will be debriefed on your past life at headquarters, and be given a briefing with your new position. Upon briefing, your membership begins.
[LOOC] The Frenchman: DISCLAIMER. Understand that conducting a Black Operation (providing no metagaming knowledge to CP units to preserve "pure" Roleplay) may result in begin reported to an admin and that report being actioned? Being an Operative is not a requirement, and you do not have to apply. And even then, no one will force you to conduct a Black Op for the sake of "pure" Roleplay, where no chance of metagaming can occur. But, if you do, the group will serve as witnesses and fight for you on the forums. I, myself, have been banned. It is the risk we take for the greater good.

[LOOC] The Frenchman: Please refer to the Willard Group Rules, and adhere to them at all times.
- Groups are not to advocate or attempt to push real life ideals onto players. Keep all ideals in character and relevant to the game world's current circumstance. Furthermore, modern politics should not be included at all. The world ended in 2001.
- Groups that are advertised on the forums must have a suitable amount of effort emplaced upon them. While not required to be all-encompassing, basic information such as; origins, operative strategies, basic lore, and current objectives should be included. Groups can be removed if deemed too dull.
- Groups must make sense within the in-server lore. No names which wouldn’t make sense during these times; such as OOC memes, that exist in 2021.
- If your group has 8 active members within the in-game group system; you can request your own sub-page on the forums.
- Groups should primarily exist as vessels to encourage roleplay both from within and without. Keep matters ICly as much as possible and avoid metagaming, as it will not be tolerated. Do not oppress other people's Roleplay above all.
- If a group carries any special assets or ‘property’ on the map or forums, members must maintain a degree of activity or forfeit these benefits.
- While antagonistic groups can form and even carry questionable ethics, be aware that groups must still abide by prior rules.

Most of us in the group are veteran Serious HL2RP players, and we want to help new players, or even anyone interested in joining for the fun, or if you like to help new players explore and experience adventure, too! To prevent metagaming, our operations and several descriptions are redacted or not included on the forums, but I did leave one small clue on this advertisement, ICly! Membership is permanent. Consider us your Online Save Game feature. We are not a dictatorial or "Yes Sir / No Sir" style organization, although it is led by a real life Military Officer! Hope to see your application soon!
