My friends, if *killing* CP's will give out a "Biosignal lost" ping, and knocking one out would not give out a ping.
Why in the hell would bleedout give a ping? Technically the character isn't dead, it's just a state of unconsciousness after all.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk

The suit monitors the units blood and heart rate, technically if a unit gets knocked out it will know they have gone unconcious.

Bleedout gives a "critical" ping. If a person is bleeding out and goes into critical condition, the suit is bound to know.

Why would a suit know the unit is in critical condition, but not know if he is knocked out? Make it make sense…

Because high heart hate, low blood pressure is a sign of significant blood loss, and another sign of shock. Being knocked out, however, is not really a change in BP and RR, unless the suit was capable of monitoring things like delta brain waves and shit like that. It could track head trauma, perhaps, with accelerometers in the head and neck areas of the suit, but that's a lot of effort and bullshit to go through to keep people who are garbage to the Union, whether uniformed or not, in the state of constant geo- and biomonitoring. I mean honestly be glad Willard isn't kept on the same dystopic level as HL2 because you'd have to be constantly huffing stimulants to stay awake and never get to sleep, maybe get minutes to eat a day, don't remember anyone you once knew, your only form of entertainment is Breencasts and the occasional five seconds you get to make a citizen feel lesser than you, which should technically be true, and Sterilized Credits would be your literal god.

I believe the combine would go the extra step to make it so they know when a unit is knocked out, as I'd like to think the combine wouldn't wanna cut any corners in making sure the rebels cant get CP equipment without the whole district knowing.

I don't believe the combine give two fucks about what Humanity is doing. I believe the Combine has long since realized that Humanity is always going to be at war with itself-- unless you wiped out the entire concept of free will and differentiating ideology in people-- and only supplies Earth because they respect the fact that Breen was like the only human to clear the misconception that we were harboring Xenians from the Union's grasp. We're still the lesser of two species, and we're most certainly not a problem for them.

I had never considered this. Smart point. +1

Then they'd also be alerted every time a cop is shot.

Because they are bleeding out? Could you imagine the design flaw for the combine to create these suits, create bio-signal lost pings, then refrain from adding these very pings, for a unit losing enough blood to put them into a comatose state.

It would make the combine look even more ridiculous than they already do.

New suggestion : Add neurotrauma to civil protection, that gives them the hud and all.

Because the CP suit is a super high functioning supersoldier suit that monitors every little thing (spoiler: CPs are nothing but expendable grunts, there is no reason for the suits to do any of this)

Also at the same time it can somehow detect different people putting on the suit via heartbeat monitoring

I agree with this suggestion. While good points have been made in regards to the CP suit's tech noticing signs of critical damage such as extreme hemorraging and whatnot, I believe it would be wise to remove that function from CP suits.

It allows rebels to perform stealthy attacks. This would undoubtedly be beneficial for the rebel RP scene (especially rogue cop scene too), allowing for more clandestine activity.

It aligns with one of TheParryGod's extremely detailed and outright incredible animations. In one of the animations, Anti-Citizens, keen-eyed viewers could notice that when the first cop is shot, his biosignal doesn't ring out -- only after they execute him.

With bleed-out godmode being active, it'd let rebels get away with kidnapping cops far too easily. Rebels could just kill a cop and drag them away without the other cops being notified, unless the cop in question spams their radio which is kind of bad faith.

I think it makes sense for reasons others have already stated, but I also agree with Hoki that removing certain features would be beneficial for everyone.

I think it's a joke how much the suits can monitor. Could it technically be possible with an extradimensional super advanced alien species technology? Sure. But it makes for bad RP - it removes a lot of opportunities for anything interesting.

At most, it should monitor whether or not they flatline. Everything else is kind of lame in my opinion. I also think (which is what I thought this thread was originally about) that we should remove the pings (visual upload, uplink, whatever) it's super cheesy and easy and fucking dumb that we can make pings around the world within the fraction of a second. Why? How? But most importantly it just sucks. Takes away all necessities for good communication and tactics when you can just say lol on marker and it's a huge advantage over everyone else. I think many of the combine features are borderline metagame.

If I recall correctly, using the wrong key on a door pings as well. We should really cut down on all the pings bro… Also lessen the range cops can see you at

Everything pings. From opening a door with the wrong key to a Vortigaunt (or even human) removing the biolock from a pulse weapon pings all Combine forces to your exact location.

I really don’t know where this insane obsession with Combine pings is coming from.
