it's not a human surrendering. if you look at beta concepts of the combine logo, it's very clear that it ain't a human (heads aren't detached from the body)

I can see the resemblance, but not really. It doesn't really look like a human surrendering to me at least. However, the human taking a shit definitely looks like a human taking a shit; why would the Combine want their insignia to include something that fucking stupid looking?
