community feedback thread for TBC vs S2K

I suppose it'd have to be like it is now with current PK rules and so on with TTK

The problem is would they still be able to be targeted for the sake of PK's and such?

Given you have to shoot an unconscious player again to properly kill them, how do you think that would work?
perhaps add a mechanic to check pulses on unconscious players and make it hard to impossible to determine if a ragdolled player is alive without taking your time to physically examine and determine his state of injury, consciousness and pulse. you cannot always necessarily ascertain whether or not someone is living or dead simply by looking at him. additionally, sometimes people are basically dead despite having a (albeit weak) pulse or maybe even breathing. im not a medical expert, but maybe even adding a simplified to even barebones medical system would be nice and add a natural passive roleplay mechanic. could increase tensions and make getting hit in TBC more meaningful in a less artificial way.

after writing out a few unecessary suggestions, i did a little thinking about how it would all work out and remembered a term i heard somewhere before i think everyone should be mindful of. mostly im just being self-aware here

take a lot of my suggestions and others with a grain of salt and focus on fixing problems and frustrations before adding in TOO many new mechanics to avoid feature creeping, dev burnout and staff member frustration.

Since I don't feel its been considered, what if TBC handled damage calculations differently to S2K? If it isn't already.

Depending on how you feel about this, it could be higher/lower for either, but I feel lower for TBC will help, due to the lack of dodging via active movement. Whereas S2K would use some sort of higher default. Not sure about how reasonable this is for the devs, but after seeing their works on the skill system and its rework, I'm positive this is something that can be managed.

I'm still opposed to TBC in any capacity, but I'm sure this will help the problem at the very least.

Thank you everyone for your feedback, we'll now be working towards implementing the following:

i thought people in bleedout were already auto kicked out of TBC, that's why they get stuck in the waitlist once they get healed

TBC is an incredibly unpolished system, which shouldn't have been put into place until it was 100 percent ready to be used. Rushing out a system that is so, so important is undoubtedly hurting the server. Engagements right now come down to who has the highest speed skill (completely blocks the others turn), and who has the most numbers. It employs no tactics bar RUSH RUSH RUSH, there is no cover mechanic, there is no miss chance, etc.

For now, I'd opt to S2K for most things. In any event I run, I opt for S2RP w/ rolls for players, or S2K with NPCs. It helps with the flow and engagement of players. Until TBC is adequate, it needs to be disabled.
Most based admin take. Actually understands the playerbase.
