So plain and simple, compasses although in a more primitive form were around since ancient China so i really don't think they are so high tech to be an OTA exclusive. Possibly instead of it being built into the HUD like OTA it can perhaps be a craftable or purchasable item. The can be interacted with in the inventory and after interacting with it will show you in chat box which bearing you are looking at . Would be useful for Rebels, Cps and some Loyalist expedition if they need to find where they are going and such.

Ok i hereby retract this suggestion since i realized that if it got added it would mean that MAA would have to get it and im strictly against MAA getting things.

IMO - unnecessary tool. I'll explain it by stating the moment you get a compass, what are you going to do with it? You're in a City map that you know the layout of already, and I can guarantee you when folk get into firefights - people will be trying to look at the compass 24/7 instead of keeping their head straight, write insanely long messages and die mid typing trying to say "ENEMY TRANSHUMAN. 20 METERS BEARING 45" somewhere in a sewer or gain instant amnesia of where they're going because they're following said compass (in game perspective.)

A compass in game is going to be the taker of great Darwinist decisions that the moment people even get a compass, you'll:

A. Never use it at all.
B. Spend 50% of your time watching a compass slide left to right rather than what's directly infront of you as you try to navigate claustraphobic environments.

This happens in every FPS game with compasses, more specifically open world games like Elder Scrolls.

Unnecessary tool for HL2RP.

EDIT: Only worthwhile for Expeds or SS but that's the only "good" reasons I can think of.

hope this points me towards the upswing because I'm havin a hard time finding it

Would be nice as a strictly IC item, but at that point, just make a custom script.
