| THE RACE | THE IMPACTS | THE MECHANICS |
| City 13 is at the top of the food chain, surpassing the long held dominance that City 24 once held in full. With the end of Operation: Diaguillion and the recent recapturing of City 2 by City 13 - rebuilding is prioritised across the Sector. However, City 24 and hardliner elements within Industrial 24 that despise the French Dominion over Sector 10 passively resist. Industrial 24 is the Magnum Opus for the political fencing of The Two Cities. Industrial 24 is currently being eyed by the mega-departmental organisation labelled 'The Combine's Logistics Committee' and City 13 by economical intrigue. Industrial 24 is at risk of being completely subjugated by both of these powers. There are pros and cons to a subjugation by either of these entities, however either spells one of two things: The final nail in the coffin for City 24s, or City 13s supremacy. | The political arc known as 'AN APOCALYPTIC BILL' depicts the server's progress, reactions and consequential activities to the oncoming passive roleplay which is fully driven in-character. In order for Industrial 24 to keep its independent distribution unharmed, it must choose; City 24 or City 13. The measurement of the debt and liquidation of assets is depicted with a graphical information in the above spoiler details that progress. Each impact corresponds to the increase or decrease in debtline of Industrial 24 within the server. These are influenced by actions of players on the server. Should the APOCALYPTIC BILL be paid, City Thirteen will cease its liquidation of the Industrial Sector and the Summit 24 Sectorial Administration will decree their role completed in the affair. City Twenty Four will have a chance of recovering part of its dominion. Should the APOCALYPTIC BILL be unpaid, City Thirteen will become the permanent, domineering hegemony of the Combine in Sector Ten after assimilating Industrial Twenty Four. City Twenty Four will become a footnote in history as a puppet-client state. Events and driven factors will also highly result the route the server will take, with (at best) minimal GM intervention under the duress of the server's activity. Should the resistance succeed in disrupting this affair, there will be no winners - only losers between the two competing cities amongst the under the totalitarian grip of the Combine's tyranny; spelling great uncertainty in the stability of the Sector and anarchy in Industrial Twenty Four should they succeed. | The debt reading is effectively how many credits the city is due to the CLC. The more this debt is failed to be paid, Arceneaux's patience will run out, and liquidation of assets will increase as a permanent nullifier. Should the CLC's suspicion levels rise, it is expected that they will launch pre-ordained investigations into Industrial Twenty Four. Corruption discovered by the CLC will result in a hefty credits fine, and a major increase in liquidated assets by City Thirteen. Should Industrial Twenty Four continue producing material and equipment, the city will not draw the ire of the CLC or City Thirteen. However, Civil Protection is insisted to protect these activities as much as possible; underfunding will result in loss of heavy equipment. Should the resistance act to disrupt the Combine's plans, the situation may turn grim for the stability of the city and may produce chaos in the population. Economic growth is stimulated by actively trading with other cities and vice-versa. Should the Leviathan become active, prepare for hell and serious increases in infestation levels and pollution which play key roles in productivity. |
OOC NOTES
Make sure to update your content from the server collection.
The server has the following changes committed for this arc to be successfully balanced.
- Event characters from different cities may arrive to negotiate deals, increase or decrease levels of corruption, commence inspections of cargo and prescribe objectives to the resistance.
- The Genevan Leviathan is a lake monster that is unprecedented in size, and sits dormant under the Lake. Should that awaken, you're likely expected to face swarms of serious and very dangerous creatures.
- High levels of infestation will result in periodic attacks by creatures both inside residential and productivity structures and in civilian areas and sewers.
- Extreme levels of pollution will cause map wide gas levels to increase when outdoors.
- The deaths of important people may result in serious ramifications for the entire Industrial Zone.
- Use the lore map to keep track of updates in regards to the city's progress.
- Event deaths are a PK by default when dealing with the campaign mechanics. Success and failure truly depends on your own actions and interactivity between the rest of the players.
--- The GMs are a supportive reactionary foundation for your objectives - what ever they may be - so you are expected to roleplay well and put effort into your /me's.
