Connection Problems

Hello,

So I've been getting connection issues when attempting to join the server, and I know it's not just me.

For some reason, I appear to be timing out or Gmod freezes on me when I enter the loading screen, after selecting a character (This appears to be serverside as I can exit the game via console with no lag).

I was wondering if there was an obvious issue with what could be the problem, as I end up attempting to join multiple times (sometimes for up to an hour).

The menu freezes used to happen to me on my old pc. What I did was: when joining the main menu, wait a bit to let it load (a couple seconds). Then click character creation and exit back to the menu - same for the select character tab (let those two tabs load), and it usually worked
