Consequences - Dark Zone
With the recent resistance attack on a CCR FOB, the combine are out in force in a retaliatory move against resistance hotspots.
Patrols around locations such as Miboro Lake often disappear from the map, and QRFs sent to support and scout find nothing but looted Overwatch corpses. These locations are the target for Overwatch retaliation.
A sizable force, consisting of Civil Protection and Overwatch have been assembled to scout in force, and eradicate any outposts and resistance patrols they find.
Civil Protection will be travelling using transport trucks, and APCs. The APCs will be forming a back-line to prevent any flanks from supporting resistance forces, and prevent them from escaping.
Overwatch will be routinely cycled in and out through dropships, while synthetic forces scout the surrounding area and cut off resistance patrols from assisting in the defence of their outpost.
The resistance will face the full might of City 8's Civil Protection garrison and the Overwatch garrison of stronghold Yamato. There will be no escape, only a fight to the bloody death.

This event is primarily to let off steam, as there's been a noted increase of polarisation that I feel may be best let out through low-risk combat.
Vortigaunts will not be involved in this event. Nor will synthetic forces or vehicular support unless absolutely necessary.
Respawns are infinite, and will be NLR, unless if someone commits to a silly move that will ensure their death. You are still expected to value your life.
If a majority of the Civil Protection players would prefer normal combat death rules to apply then it may be changed. CPs who die would only lose one rank in this case.
There is no shame in preferring a full NLR & refund, I'm sure everyone has had enough de-ranks to last a lifetime.
There will still be passive opportunities and opportunity for character development during this event, it won't be entirely S2K.
This will also be a opportunity for involved factions to freshen up their combat abilities against real players.
Date, content, and map is still TBD. This is because I'll have to choose a map depending on how many players apply to take part.
