Character Name: Geneviéve Linnea DuBois
Geneviève Linnea DuBois...
Despite her refined, aristocratic-sounding name, Geneviève Linnea DuBois was born into a working-class family in rural Québec. Her father was a laborer whose dreams of success never survived his own failures, while her mother worked tirelessly to keep food on the table. They had little, but for a time, they had each other.
That did not last. As debts mounted and opportunities disappeared, her father found comfort in a bottle. The more he drank, the more resentful he became. Every setback became someone else's fault, and every night the house grew quieter in anticipation of his return. Her mother shielded Geneviève as long as she could, urging her to stay in school and reminding her that intelligence was something no one could take away. Geneviève excelled in her studies, burying herself in books while learning a far harsher lesson at home.
The world was not fair.
It rewarded strength and punished weakness.
Shortly after her twelfth birthday, the violence became routine. The sharp crack of a belt against the kitchen table was warning enough to know what came next. Bruises faded. Fear did not.
As she grew older, she noticed something else in her father's drunken gaze. His anger lingered longer than before. His hands lingered too. Her mother became increasingly desperate to keep them apart whenever he staggered home after midnight.
Geneviève understood without anyone needing to explain.
By fifteen, she no longer feared him.
She studied him instead.
She learned that every tyrant, no matter how cruel, eventually became vulnerable.
One winter evening, he stumbled into her room with his eyes having other intentions than mere beatings. He eyed her daughter, now in puberty. In his sick eyes she saw there was something else he wanted; he had already began to undress her with his eyes; and now he was going to do it to his own daughter. He unstrapped the belt first - and then a drunken smirk emerged as he dropped the belt ot the floor. He forced himself upon her in the bed whilst she kicked and screamed; but before anything happened - fate... stepped in.
The henious acts the Father had prepared for his only daughter; would not come to be... suddenly; a stroke. She dug her nails into his eyes; blinding him before he slumpt down from the bed and over onto the floor.
"Help me... girl..." the father struggled to say, the blood flow to his brain blocked by the stroke, a narcissist only cares about themselves....
He hadn't even had time to realise he had gone blind from the nails..
For a long moment, Geneviève simply looked down at him. Whilst her father whimpered and pleaded.
The man who had ruled the household through terror could no longer stand on his own.
She observes him for several seconds; a minute passed, as the father struggled to breathe; his brain slowly suffocating. But this his death wouldn't be on the hands of nature alone....
She walked over to where the belt was; then she strapped it around his throat and neck and pulled as hard as she could; it lasted seven anagonizing minutes for her father; her abuser-... and now-... would be rapist. Only after ten minutes, she'd led go of the belt.
Her father falling flat-faced dead on the floor, his face blue from the lack of oxygen.
This was the first time she had killed someone.... but she-.... felt... nothing.

Not much is known about what became of Geneviève Linnea Dubois in the years that followed. Records from the Collapse remain fragmented, swallowed by the chaos of the Portal Storms and the subsequent subjugation of Earth by the Combine.
What is known is that Geneviève was, by every definition, a Renaissance woman.
Possessing an insatiable curiosity, she excelled wherever she directed her attention. Medicine, economics, political science, public administration, even philosophy and history were disciplines she pursued with uncommon brilliance. Not long before the Seven Hour War, she had earned a doctorate in medicine and built a promising career within Canada's pharmaceutical sector, where she quickly gained a reputation as an exceptional researcher, administrator, and strategist. Colleagues admired her sharp intellect, effortless charisma, and uncanny ability to unite people behind even the most ambitious ideas.
She seemed destined for greatness.
In another world, she might have become the architect of a new era in public health, a cabinet minister, or the head of one of North America's largest pharmaceutical enterprises.
But history had other plans.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Portal Storms shattered civilization, and the Seven Hour War extinguished the old world in a matter of days. Nations fell. Institutions collapsed. The ambitions of ordinary people became meaningless beneath an alien empire.
Yet where others saw only ruin, Geneviève saw opportunity.
The world was no longer governed by the ideals of the past, but by those willing to shape its future. As humanity slowly clawed its way out of the ashes beneath Combine rule, she recognized that rebuilding society required more than hope—it required vision, influence, and an unwavering willingness to make impossible decisions.
For Geneviève Anne Dubois, the end of the old world was not the end of ambition.
It was the beginning of it.
"What party is your character part of?"
"The masses do not seek truth. They seek certainty"
- G.L DuBois
For years, Geneviève Linnea Dubois worked tirelessly to climb the ranks. The road had not been easy, but she had finally arrived.
Along the way, she came to know Karl Söderberg. What began as a professional acquaintance soon evolved into something far more significant. With her entry into the Harmony Collective, Geneviève found in Söderberg a mentor, a guiding hand, and perhaps the closest thing to a father figure she had ever known.
Ever since childhood, she had known she was different. More perceptive. More ambitious. More willing to see the world as it truly was. Yet she also understood a simple truth: kindness, whether genuine or carefully displayed, earned loyalty far more effectively than fear alone.
Whether or not she truly believed in the Founder's vision was known only to her. What mattered was that she had found her foothold within the Collective.
And with Karl Söderberg at her side, she intended to rise as far as she possibly could.

Going to leave this as an OOC inquiry. The last couple of years I played Willard on mainly the rebel scene with characters such as Juno, Wildcard, etc etc. I never properly got introduced into the loyalist scene. I scarcely did with this very same character in about a month before the server closed. I believe I found a good composition for this complex character; to allow him to grow from the start and the beginning.
With this, I will be properly inducted into the loyalist scene and able to create and develop this character, not as a pure-blooded psychopath, but as a person who has developed a complexicity in his personality. He is neither good, nor bad - he's neutral.
Depending on how things turn out, perhaps he becomes an antagonist to some-... a hero to others. Who knows? It all depends on the players, the actions-... butterfly effect..
