COVENANT of BREEN

He gazes upon us all, I believe. Always judging.

Wallace Breen, former Black Mesa executive and current Administrator of Earth who sacrificed everything to provide Our Benefactors with our planet. Without him, would we still lie within their magnanimous hands? It is hard to imagine a world where it was not so.

The Covenant serves as a reminder to all of his generosity. It is but a small token of appreciation to the man who gave it all.


SANCTUM of BREEN

The Sanctum of Breen is the headquarters of the Covenant, serving as not only the largest store in the city - selling alcoholic spirits, Xenian meats, and other materials - but as a place of reverence and reflection. Here, Priests of Breen gather to study and write Books of Breen, and great events are held for all to gather and listen. It is believed by those within the Covenant that there are many like it around the world, each with a Sanctum, Icon, and other similar traits that persist. All members, however, are encouraged to visit the Sanctum Sanctorum, the greatest and most advanced Breen stronghold on the world, located in City 17.

While the roster for the Sanctum is full, members of the Covenant are always welcome to provide assistance to ensure the Sanctum can sustain itself. Exotic meats discovered in the depths are always in demand, and those who provide will be rightfully compensated.


SUBSUMPTION

The Covenant is always looking for new members to serve the cause. Whether you wish to dedicate your life to study and write about Our Most Gracious Benefactor, protect and serve, or act as a supplier, there is limitless room for growth.

ICON of BREEN
The Icon himself.

OVERSEER
Those who have withstood many tests, pressures, and endured it all to seek ultimate enlightenment. True servants to Breen.

PRIEST
Pure dedication to Breen is witnessed within the fabled Priests of Breen. From many hours of studying and writing, overall understanding of the man is witnessed in these few.

WARDEN
Hardened Protectors who understand what it truly takes to uphold the Benefactor's word. Uncommon are those willing to take the full measure.

ADVOCATE
Acolytes on the path to true enlightenment as a Priest. Unfaltering in their goal, they spread the message far and wide.

PROTECTOR
Sworn to protect, these acolytes have been trained to do what is necessary to preserve his word.

ACOLYTE
The first steps for those on this new journey.


MISCELLANEOUS

TOKENS of BREEN
Find yourself in his favor, and you will be justly rewarded. While progression is not solely based upon held tokens, there are certain requirements before ascension is possible, explained in more detail in the SUBSUMPTION thread. Tokens can be gained simply by benefiting the Covenant in any way. Some examples of how tokens may be earned are as follows:

- Holding your own speeches and spreading the word in public settings
- Providing decent amounts of exotic meat
- Attending a rally/event
- Recruiting members
- Being around


CONTRACTORS
It is not required that one be a part of the Covenant to reap rewards from it. There are those who perhaps already have loyalties that lie elsewhere but still wish to benefit the cause. In this case, members of the Covenant are able to provide tasks and quests with suitable payments involved. Contractors who continually aid the organization who eventually wish to be subsumed may additionally have the capability of skipping the acolyte process altogether.

BOOKS of BREEN
Books of Breen, written by Priests of Breen, are distributed at the Sanctum, either as a copied edition or as a serialized edition, in which the book itself will be numbered in the order in which it was sold to serve as a collector's piece. It is planned for new volumes to be produced every few weeks.​
