Bug: Delivery cache not highlighting (Unknown cause, now unable to find 2 caches due to this) and Delivery caches not in their original locations.
Description: The normal marker to indicate where a cache is, is well missing. I see others have reported this however I didn't leave the game when I noticed it had occurred. Secondly the Underpass, Triumph and RDC caches are all either missing or in the completely wrong spot. The underpass cache was located in the entrance to the slums but the other two are completely unaccounted for.
Time: 11:55am EST, May, 5th, 2022.
Suggestion: As a minor suggestion, if possible, we could have a command for the console or in one of the menus to refresh the markers for caches so they can become visible again (Or it at least tells you /where/ your pending items are). They do become visible (DUe to that bug) if you interact with the correct one.

Already fixed with the latest server restart. They can't be moved again.
Those 3 caches are still not in their correct positions (Or their previous positions at least) even after the restart.
Triumph and RDC are completely missing and Underpass is located in the slums now instead of in its previous location, unless that was intended.
Edit: After looking around the Willard Street pick-up is also gone.

Fixed.

I removed that one because it was too inconvenient.
Taking a look, we are still missing the RDC and the triumph street pick-ups. Unless those were moved.
If so, I know I am missing at least two decently pricey shipment of goods.
That is with checking each location I know of (Which is currently 13 locations unless there are more I simply haven't found).
I am unsure how long shipments are kept in server memory though mind you.

Can we get the Delivery highlight again?
And why did you turn it of in the first place?

Intended. I turned this off, but the smuggler system does not have a message to indicate it is turned off, hence the confusion.

Give a console message where it'll be, and please for the love of god get them out of the city.

I turned off the highlight myself because I think exploring the map/asking others IC for the location is much more engaging compared to following some arbitrary glowing marker that will tell you exactly where your cache is even if you're on the opposite side of the map.

Some of them are in the city to promote organic conflict and an element of risk to collecting caches from one of the smugglers. Only one smuggler delivers to the city, and it's the price you pay for an otherwise overpowered smuggler. Caches in the city encourage Civil Protection to actually patrol and check every corner of the city compared to standing on the corner of the street doing nothing for 4 hours straight.

Okay but at least let the console print the location where the items are headed to.

Not up to me as I’m not a dev but I do agree that it should. I think you can already see it in chat though if you turn in the setting that displays notifications in the chat.

It doesnt feel like roleplaying going around asking people where a bot has delivered my items too. I personally just wnn get my stuff as quickly as possible since it isnt really roleplaying walking up to a crate and grabbing stuff.. I wnna get it done with asap, so that i can actually return to my legitimate RP experience.

just my opinion on it.

But mabey it works the way you intended it to work for others.. Just seems like a /looc question about game mechanics rather than a RP question to me. Ive even tried to RP it but it just feels unnatural to RP around a Bot and its mechanics.

Closed.

Not a bug. Highlighting has been re-enabled, however, and should work fine now.
