'I declare war - on anybody standing in the way of what I dream for'
Dev's Theme:

==========Desmond Kay - Death==========
The Hunter lay dead.
And so did Desmond Kay.
The Vortigaunts scrambled around, trying their best to use their vortal energies to revive him. But a hole the size of a football in a man's chest? Impossible. Even magic has it's limits.
Dev knows. In the end, death smiles at every man.
And so, Dev smiled back.
"My friends.... Yuri... Wildcard..." No. It weren't just those. "All of you... thank you for being part of the resistance...." he says, coughing up blood.
People were applying medicine to him, and the Vortigaunts were chanting. It seems he was the only one who knew he was dying.
"Lord... protect you.... all."
And so, Dev's fight was over.
He awakens in.... what seems to be a hellscape of sorts. A destroyed tower lay in the middle. And a fog shrouds the area. And yet, a beam of light rises from one of the edges.
And so, Desmond walks, and walks, and walks.
Until he sees a sign.
'Camp Hope.'
Curiously, he enters the camp, finding abandoned food and drink all around.
He walks up the stairs. Was this supposed to be a mine? But... this is the afterlife, right?
...Was it?
He didn't know anymore.
Approaching the light, he felt it's pull. Asking him to walk in.
And so, the man reaches out.
And finds himself.... somewhere different. Floating above clouds. With people walking around without a care in the world.
"You new here?"
"You can tell he is, Lex. Why are you asking these silly questions?"
"What's your name, mate?"
Dev watches the two people, a figure wearing a gas mask and a scrap metal cross necklace, and a girl wearing a doctor's outfit, with blonde hair, walk towards him.
Huh, he saw that exact necklace somewhere....
"Desmond Kay. I was known by Dev when I was alive, I guess."
At that, the girl shakes her head.
"One of your rebel buddies, Lex. No one else has these silly nicknames."
"At least he doesn't have a nickname like Paladin, I suppose"
And at that, Desmond laughs.
He'll get along with these people just fine.

-RELATIONSHIPS- ADMIRES |RESPECTS | FRIEND | ACQUAINTANCE | DISTRUSTS | DISLIKES | HATES |
Wildcard Together, we will overcome. ...Or die trying. Samantha. The daughter I never had. I pray your rebellious spirit never dies. With you, I know that the resistance spirit of humanity lives on. Every statement that the resistance is to cease. Is False |
Dismas One of my fellows from the LFC. Good man, I knew he wouldn't turn on us when Artemis - God have mercy on his soul - questioned me about him. Thanks for having my back always, brother. |
York Another man from the big apple! Glad we're fighting the good fight together.....Sorry about your girl. |
Dundee The funny aussie. I have no choice but to love this man. He's borderline my best friend when we go out & shoot things together. Makes me feel young again, you know? Killing hunters & OTA together. Love him. |
Resonance Hm. On one side, he seems to be too... Machiavellian for my tastes. No morals, only the will to do what needs to be done, and whoever gets hurt in the way be damned. On the other side... I hate to say it, but these methods work. Either way, I can't say I trust him. |
Yuri To have died protecting you and Samantha, is the best death I could ask for. Yuri. My brother in arms. You will continue the fight in my stead, this, I am sure of. |
Ivan Our medic Ivan. Nothing to complain about, together, we will achieve greatness. |
Sailor I can't say I trust his judgement completely, if I'm being honest. What irks me more is that everyone else does. Make no mistake Sailor, I respect you, and I thank you for watching my back and saving me... but I will not hesitate to disobey any immoral orders you give. |
Sheriff An old man trying to start a constabulary & bring justice to the slums. If that's not worthy of being respected, I don't know what is.Let's see if his efforts will get anywhere, though... |
Scav My brother. It is good to see you here.Let me tell you all about the resistance after you died. There are quite a few faces you would have loved to meet. |
Gaz I haven't seen you in a while, Gaz. I hope you are taking care of the movement while I'm gone. |
