1. Stats & skills V2
All numbers below are WIP and do not represent the final outcome
Attributes
Attributes are locked after character selection, may be temp boosted by food or drug items. Attributes offer a flat +5 bonus per level to associated skills attached to the attribute. (WIP).
  1. Strength: Melee, Speed
  2. Perception: Crafting, Cooking, Guns
  3. Agility: Guns, Speed
  4. Intelligence: Bartering, Cooking, MedChem
Skills
The player can only select a max of 3 active skills to level up. The player can swap any of these skills, the replaced skill starts over. Progresses from 0-150.

Crafting: [Perception] - Allows the crafting of equipment, utility, weapon, misc, etc items, available items depend on your crafting skill level. Increases crafting level by +1 per item crafted. If the item rarity is poor, relative to your crafting skill, then said item will no longer level up your skill (encourages players to make rarer items to level up).

Cooking: [Perception, Intelligence] - Follows the same principles as crafting but with food/drink items. Increases chance to identify unknown food/drink items before eating them. Food items offer temporary attribute boosts.

MedChem: [Perception, Intelligence] Follows same principles as crafting but is focused on crafting medicine and drug items. Increases chance to identify unknown drug/medical items before using them and heals players better.

Melee: [Strength] - Increases chance to hit, increases melee damage. Skill level increases by +2 per melee hit during combat.

Guns: [Perception, Agility] Increases chance to hit, allows the use of advanced guns without penalties, increases chance to identify guns, ammo and gun components. Skill level increases by +1 per hit during combat.

Speed: [Strength, Agility] - Increases running speed, combat run radius, reduces running exhaustion rate and combat dodge chance. Skill level increases by 1+ per --(To be determined)-- Increases chance for pocket items to remain hidden on search, max skill level offers 35% to keep pocket items hidden.

Bartering: [Intelligence] - Depending on your bartering level, allow the purchase of different types of commercial items an crafting components with reduced purchasing price. Increase bartering level by +1 per shipment. If the purchased item shipments rarity is low, relative to your bartering skill, then no do not level skill. (encourages players to purchase & sell higher grade goods). Increases chance to identify unknown misc items before use.

2. Skill selection
Skill selection works via the "skills" tab, you're able to pick a max of 3 skills to level up as shown below (WIP):

3. Crafting
Here's a WIP version of our crafting system, recipes are selected from the left box with necessary ingredients shown in the middle and a preview to the right. From the recipe list, you have a choice between dismantling items for basic crafting components or crafting new items. The recipe list is kept tidy with recipe main/sub categories.

4. F1 menu (quick selection)
Here's our version of the f1 menu, still work in progress as we're likely to add more buttons and information here).

5. Ultrawide support
We're aware Helix has issues with ultrawide resolution support, we're working on a solution to solve this!

Fantastic! Just to elaborate:
  • I can only have three active skills at one time, resetting will reset the skill level.
  • I can level up attributes as much as I want as long as they are related to the skills I choose.

Right?
