Hello,

Throwback to a Rebel raid on Rebel base - who executed a leader because they wanted to leave with their equipment rather than merge with the occupiers (do not worry, they got appealed).

Is it possible to jail rebel leaders or players against their will perpetually, similar to how CPs can jail civilians, provided you have the proper facilities to do it (Building / Manpower / Resources / Authorizations etc...)

What authorizations would it require?

Would it be possible to only allow breakouts in the form of scheduled raids when both parties are on? (Mitigate offline raids)

Where do we draw the technical and interpretative lines for this?

CPs can't perpetually jail citizens, they have to have a reason for jailing them and (usually) if staff see the citizen jailed for a excessive period of time, then they'll try to find out why. Failing to find out, they inform a RL or CP leads. CPs have been warned in the past for leaving citizens in jail for too long, and now, from what I've seen - they will usually expedite any interrogations/executions. Because it's not fun to be stuck in a cell 24/7 and is effectively a soft-PK for your character.

Imo, it's unfair to perpetually jail anyone. You should jail them with a end-goal in mind (that isn't just 'destabilize their rebel group') and you should be actively trying to meet/follow that end goal. Consider it from a weaker...

Consider it from a weaker rebel groups POV - if your leader is captured by a large group, and he's jailed indefinitely, what can you do? You can promote a new leader, sure, but if the larger rebel group abhors your group then it'll just happen again with the new leader. You can't realistically organize a raid because you'll just get your group wiped.

Forgive me if I'm incorrect or assuming too much here - but this just sounds like a attempt to wipe a rebel group by forcing them to need to raid your base or lose their leader, circumventing the usual PK & base claim rules because the rebel group that's raiding you would be opening themselves up to a PK.

PLUS-
I'm 90% sure usual base raid rules would apply regardless, meaning it wouldn't have to be scheduled. The raiding party would just need either the base/group's leader to be online, or two members.

Thank you for a comprehensive answer on the topic! Reading it was a clear cut for this thread.

For now, I will keep the thread open for a little longer, before awarding the end game answer incase additional comments arise. However, I am satisfied with this answer if not more will come up.
