Character Description

A woman stands before you, an air of shyness that battles with her at every turn seems to linger around her. Blonde Hair, Hazel Eyes, the former styled... somewhat evenly, certainly at a respectable length that hangs loose. Don't be surprised if she goes on a tangent then shuts up for the rest of the day.​

A much less glamorous background, but one all too common, a former retail worker going from stocking the shelves and manning the tills of a supermarket to... scavenging the streets with intent to do as she already knows. She does what she always has, provide customer service.

Entering District 1 was just business as usual, transfer to some unknown place, geography hardly matters anymore. They all look the same after a while, whether the air is hot or cold is hardly an indicator, it's all thick with smog and gloom anyway.

Emily wanders The Backstreets, seeking to find an "in" to her standard objective to survive in this tarnished world. It appears that she did quite soon.

Occupation:
Working a job in retail wasn't so bad, plenty of physical and social work to be had, constantly on the move. Can guarantee she never went hungry, cause as long as there's people left on the planet, someone's gonna want something overly specific one day or another.

Suddenly, One Day. The only thing that changed was the ones holding the leash.

Character Traits
	Venerable in both age an experience, Albert is truly on his twilight years, or even months. At Eighty-one years old, he struggles to complete any intensive physical task. Slow moving and vulnerable, whatever value he has cannot be found in laborious tasks.
Steadfast​	A veteran of submarine warfare, Albert has experienced grand stresses aboard a lonesome island. Depth charges and aircraft attacks and gunfire have galvanized his capacity to focus and remain undeterred by fears burden. Little can break this defense.
Mechanic​	Whether on land or at sea, much of his life was focused on machinery. Whether Farm equipment, industrial machinery or naval components, Albert has tinkered with them all. He's among the best you'll find, one of the few reasons this elder is tolerated by the regime.

Character Background

Marko Jovanović worked as a warehouse laborer and part-time mechanic in Serbia before the Seven Hour War. After the Combine invasion, he lost his home and was eventually relocated to District 1, where survival meant making use of whatever others abandoned. Over time, he developed a keen eye for scrap, broken machinery and forgotten equipment that could still be repaired, salvaged or sold.

After joining the District 1 Salvage Company, he specialised in recovering scrap, trading supplies and repairs. With District 7 cutting all ties and resources becoming increasingly scarce, Marko knows that neutrality is becoming harder to maintain, resulting in choices morally questionable to keep himself and the crew alive.​

'A relatively pale-skinned male in his mid-twenties, average height for the most part. His hair slightly unkempt, and frayed, with the occasional soot mark splotched either around his face or his clothes. A patchy, although surprisingly well trimmed beard. A bit more relaxation is present in his posture.'


Even prior to the takeover, Ethan was a bit of a scrounger. He was most often seen in his earlier years traveling among the Eastern Seaboard of the Americas. Eventually, by bribing some dock-worker, he'd make his way to Europe, having lived there for a few years. Then, it wasn't quite so fortunate anymore once his eyes laid on the darkness that now covered the world.


Now? He's in France of all places, although a bit better off to say for certain given his current position in the salvagers.
