Wait so if I want to fight like a fight I can?It can, yeah. S2RP is always still an option though, if you wanted to use it.
But, you can't use S2K unless staff enable it for an event. S2K is way too flawed for HL2RP, anyway.
Oh do stunsticks kill on this server cause if they just make you limp so you can be dragged I’m super happyYou re-educate them like normal. Stunsticks dont start fights
Thank god, no offense but I’m not really a fan of black Mesa overall I don’t like the fact they changed the art of some stuff and sounds rather then ai improvement them, not w for the gman on the other hand, I would of loved it if they had him use his gman impression, he did do the scientists which I don’t like either and instead we got “black masa” over herethe zombie noises are probably from a replacement pack I downloaded, nothing to do with the server
before the shutdown I think the devs set the stunstick so it didn't initiate TBC, but they may have added a command similar to one they already use where you use the command and get a short amount of time to "re-educate" or knock out a citizen without activating TBC. The command is similar to the "/amputate" command they have for CP's to use with the pistol when amputating, it temporarily disables TBC activation and deals double damage sending a message to staff about who was amputated so they can PK. The command doesn't work inside TBC so it can't be abusedSo what happens when you re-educate a citizen?
When the server gets re-released will it have any replacements like mmod? Other then the CPs of course, but is here any HD models your using? Like HD rebels and citizens, I love using replacements to improve the overall look of the game but I want to know if there will already be some?
I know, it's trash, and it's completely uselessOk but I do have a question about the turn based combat system, how the hell is it supposed to work? Cause first off how the hell do you enter the sequence where it shows you how many turns you have and etc, and second off what if there is someone that shows up after you start attacking and they attack while your fighting someone else so they wouldn’t enter the sequence and it would be unfair? Also don’t you think it ruins the badassnes of a squad of coordinated combine rushing in and entering a heated battle with rebels? It would just look weird to someone watching away from the combat

Well a few things could be changed like there is a few prop replacers that makes them from hla and there is also a texture replacement for the forced field which I think looks much better, I think once the server comes out I can do some testing and see what works and what looks good on the server and maybe I’ll make a collection to share with everyoneeverything is scripted and completely custom. impulse uses base models for all their stuff which means they're pretty easy to replace with clientside mods. i'm sure you could do the same with these, but everything is meant to look the way it looks on this server. most everything will be HD and up-to-date (with the possible exception of vortigaunts). if you replace models it might make the general artstyle look like shit
Ya but either way it’s just fallout 1-tactics so as long as someone can make a replacement for the sound affect to make it sound like vats I can acceptI know, it's trash, and it's completely useless
Imo Combine would never rush into a combat area, even the Overwatch Chargers, they are elite tactical Soldiers with units to do specific things like charging, to me having a Squad just charge in to an area that Rebels ambushed and have the Tactical and combative advantage leaves to much room for error and could cause unnecessary loss of life, (For example most people in another server seem to think charging is the way to go and a lot of them die). Imo a squad of units should enter a combat scenario with full knowledge of the area and the enemy, e.g How many combatants are there, Where are they? What routes are there to get to the position? Is flanking an option or should they go for a slower direct attack on the position? All though I will admit this may not always be possible, more so for the Civil Protection that aren't as combative capable as the Overwatch Transhuman Arm, but even the CP should at least refrain from rushing them with the hope the enemy don't have enough bullets to kill them all. Also don’t you think it ruins the badassnes of a squad of coordinated combine rushing in and entering a heated battle with rebels?
that's true and yet Universal Architect manages to prove that wrong on impulse, have you seen his vids when he's playing as a combine? In fact a few days ago on the server there were 2 rebels with SMG's (I believe) on the first floor of metropal and we wanted to wait for reinforcements but instead I rushed in and took them both out. If we had waited then the rebels would have gotten away as the second rebel was in the elivator and the other ran in but I managed to kill them both before it left. I actually have it recorded, I think it might have been my best play yet!Imo Combine would never rush into a combat area, even the Overwatch Chargers, they are elite tactical Soldiers with units to do specific things like charging, to me having a Squad just charge in to an area that Rebels ambushed and have the Tactical and combative advantage leaves to much room for error and could cause unnecessary loss of life, (For example most people in another server seem to think charging is the way to go and a lot of them die). I know this may not be too on topic and I may be looking way too far into an RP combat scenario and the TBC does have an effect on the movements possible, I'm just giving my opinion on something
Impulse is semi-seriousRP, this is SeriousRP. Running head-on into a rebel base here will get your entire character permanently killed. So, you don't really wanna do that. If the rebels don't kill you, your rank leader's gonna kill you.that's true and yet Universal Architect manages to prove that wrong on impulse, have you seen his vids when he's playing as a combine? Pretty much what Adam said, although i did make reference to Impulse where the most tactical thing i have seen is a CP ducking behind cover rather than taking bullets, I was talking overall in a Serious Context, where a move like that is borderline impossible and would result in you getting killed.that's true and yet Universal Architect manages to prove that wrong on impulse, have you seen his vids when he's playing as a combine?
