The year is 2001.

The Cascade has yet to occur.

You reside within the Green Haven Correctional Facility, a maximum-security prison outside New York City.

Little do you know, the world shall soon undergo an irreversible change.

Roles - 23/23

Prison Staff - 10/10

Staff of the Green Haven Correctional Facility, such as security, administrative, and medical personnel.

The exact reason you work here is up to you.

Will you do your job as best you can?

Or will you abuse the power you hold for your own benefit?

The Warden - 1/1

The Warden of the Green Haven Correctional Facility.

You have complete authority over everything that goes on within the prison, including matters of using lethal force on unruly inmates.

You might be the only thing keeping the prison staff together if something were to go wrong.

But that won't happen, right?

What will this role be doing in the event?

The Warden is responsible for facilitating and commanding the Prison Staff and Inmates.

We will provide the Warden with a schedule that they will need to enforce each day. For example, the schedule would start with the guards waking up the prisoners, taking them to the cafeteria, etc. You just need to make sure everyone is where they need to be and make sure that everyone is doing their jobs.

Role-specific question:

Do you understand that this role will come with quite a bit of responsibility? Are you able to do the previously mentioned tasks?

Correctional Captain - 1/1

The Captain of the Correctional Officers.

You hold the second-highest position of power in the prison, second only to the Warden.

Your job is to keep order in the prison. Ensure the prisoners remain docile, and make sure they go where they need to.

What will this role be doing in the event?

The Captain is responsible for commanding the Correctional Officers below them, monitoring the prisoners, and ensuring the prisoners follow their schedule.

If you are accepted for the job, you will be given a schedule that you will need to follow.

Correctional Liutenants - 2/2

The two Liutenants of the Green Haven Correctional Facility.

The third-highest position of authority in the prison. You report to the Captain and occasionally to the Warden if the need arises.

What will this role be doing in the event?

Your job is to keep order in the prison, monitor the inmates, stand guard at important areas, and make sure the prisoners are where they are supposed to be.

Correctional Officers - 4/4

The Correctional Officers of the Green Haven Correctional Facility.

You must listen to your superiors, namely the Lieutenants, the Captain, and the Warden. Your job is to ensure the prisoners don't get up to any mischief in the prison, keep an eye on them, and make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Prison Doctors - 2/2

Civilian doctors with the job of tending to the inmates and staff of the Green Haven Correctional Facility in the event they get injured.

Your job should be a pretty calm one, so long as nothing bad happens...

What will this role be doing in the event?

You'll be provided with medical supplies that you can use to treat injured prisoners or prison staff, you can wander freely around the prison so long as you don't cause any trouble or go anywhere the guards tell you not to.

Role-specific question:

Do you know how to do Medical Roleplay? Its a pretty important part of the role.

Prison Inmates - 13/13

Prison Inmates of the Green Haven Correctional Facility.

The exact details of your crime are for you to decide.

You may have committed a lesser crime, and you may only have a short period of time left in prison before your release.

You may have committed a more serious crime (or crimes), and you may have many years (or even a lifetime) before you are let out of this place.

That is for you to decide; your punishment as well as your crimes are for you to decide. What kind of person will you be? A villain? An anti-hero? A good person who has made some mistakes?

Standard inmates - 8/8

Prison Inmates of the Green Haven Correctional Facility.

Many of these prisoners are native to New York, but some may have been transferred to this prison from another state for one reason or another.

Some prisoners may be here for small crimes, others may be here for larger crimes.

What will this role be doing in the event?

You'll be playing as a prison inmate going about their day-to-day life within the prison, following a set schedule each day.

Whether you follow that schedule is up to you...

Role-specific question:

1 - What crime(s) is your character in jail for?

2 - Did they plead guilty or not guilty during their trial? (Essentially, did they lie about having committed a crime, or did they admit what they did?)

3 - (Optional) Do they have any regrets about what they did?

4 - (Optional) How long are they in jail for?

5 - (Optional) How much longer is their sentence?

Kitchen staff - 2/2

A prison inmate who has been trusted to serve as a chef for the prison inmates.

Much like with the normal prisoner role, you have

What will this role be doing in the event?

You'll largely be the same as the other inmates in the prison, but you have the job of preparing and serving food when the inmates are sent to the cafeteria. You can get a cooking boost if you would like.

4 - (Optional) How long are they in jail for?

High Security Inmates - 3/3

Notorious inmates who have acquired a life sentence (or multiple) for one reason or another.

These inmates have been assigned to high-security cells for one reason or another, like bad behavior.

What will this role be doing in the event?

You will carry out the same work that the other inmates do, but the guards will be tasked with keeping a close eye on you.

You will get a boost of 30 points to your melee skill or your guns skill, or you can divide it between the two.

Crime examples:

Just in case you need some help figuring out a crime your character could have committed, here are a few ideas you could use.

Keep in mind, this isn't a list of every crime, just a very simple list. If you need inspiration, take a look!

Keep in mind, you don't need to be some crazed serial killer if you are a prison inmate. You can be here for lesser crimes, like white-collar crimes like fraud or embezzlement, you might even have just a few months or weeks until you are released.

-Arson (Burning down buildings unlawfully)

-First Degree Murder (A planned killing of a specific person)

-Second Degree Murder (An unplanned killing of another person)

-Third Degree Murder (An unplanned killing that had the goal of causing bodily harm rather than death)

-Manslaughter (The accidental killing of another person)

-Attempt (A crime in which the perpetrator fails to pull off the intended crime; it can be added onto other crimes, like attempted murder or burglary)

-Conspiracy (A crime in which the perpetrator had planned to commit a crime, but was arrested before the attempt could be made. It can be added onto other crimes, like conspiracy to commit murder)

-Bribery (Unlawfully paying another person to do something)

-Drug Possession (The possession of illegal narcotics, like meth, cocaine, etc.)

-Computer Crime (Hacking and other similar activities)

-Fraud (There are many different types of fraud, but they all share one thing in common. The perpetrator is misrepresenting themself in some way or another. I encourage you to look it up more if you'd like to use this crime for your character)

-Driving Under the Influence / Driving While Intoxicated

-Embezzlement (Theft through the underhanded abuse of business relationships or positions of power instead of physical force)

-Burglary (Breaking and entering a building with the intent to steal)

-Robbery (Theft through the use of threats of violence)

-Theft (The unlawful taking of someone else's property)

Character age: 32
Backstory:

Mike is a 32 year old correctional officer employed by the Green Haven Correctional Facility. Son of Dutch immigrants, his parents emigrated to the USA a few years after the war, seeking safety and stability across the ocean. Even though he had been here for years, his Dutch accent is still present, partially because of national pride, partially because his parents speak barely any English, forcing him to communicated in Dutch in daily life constantly. He was able to get some basic education, managing to even finish high school. This was mostly due to the pressure from his parents, wanting their son to be a successful man. However, it is not what life had entailed for him, struggling to find a stable job, he turned towards the one employer that is always hiring, the State. At first he wished to apply to the local Police Department, but due to some issues he was rejected, picking the local correctional facility instead. He has been working here for a bit now, even if not long, he feels safe in his routine, with hopes of maybe one day joining the National Guard or the Army.

Role-specific question(s) (if applicable): Yes, I would assume so.

Role: Warden
Character name: Benedict Oliver Strickland
Character age: 38

Backstory:
LcrMgeF.pngIn the middle of December 1989, the United States invaded the Republic of Panama within central America, citing the deposition of the warlord Manuel Noriega who was wanted by the U.S authorities for racketeering and drug trafficking. The mission was codenamed 'Operation Just Cause' and saw the mobilization of infantry divisions, navy personnel, the 7th special operations group and the 82nd airborne division.

It is where Benedict's story begins to fold out. The then-old 26 years Benedict has freshly enlisted into the army, trying to honor the legacy of his deceased father that was declared missing in action during the Vietnam War.

Just_Cause.pngHis pleas to be deployed within the active war zone that at the latter end proved to be a stalemate, were promptly ignored, leading him to begin airborne training. Resentment and bitterness grew within him, but there was nothing he could do, other than to obey.

All those years proved to be to his advantage, for in the same year by the end of the war, the 82nd airborne division was deployed. Their invasion was initiated at night, with a direct combat jump and airfield seizures, where Benedict himself found himself engaging the local garrisons, putting himself at risk, causing him to get shot in his right ear lobe.

Needless to say, the operation was more than a simple success, and Benedict found himself earning the respect of his peers on his first deployment.

The war came to an end however. And Benedict was discharged at the time due to the severity of his injury. Soon, a period of re-integration within the civilian life followed. The stares of the others made him feel like an outcast. It felt unjust. And where else would be a good place to take your frustrations and your anger out, if not within the confines of a prison that burns with guilt and sin.

So Benedict thought. It was all about justice now. It was all about satisfying his burning desire to right the wrongs of the past. A tale he tells himself. To dispense justice. It was his duty to do so. Why else would the government discard him?
Would it not be for a higher purpose? A greater call?

He is serving the greatest nation to ever exist. There was greater purpose. He was just blind to it. And what a faithful warden he will make. It was only twelve years since he enlisted within the army and yet... the distant past seemed closer than ever.

Ioakim Aleksandrov, was born in Rostov-on-Don, within the former Soviet Union. Working as a career intelligence officer under the PGU, the First Chief Directorate of the KGB, Aleksandrov was a master of deep-cover espionage. Disappearing into a new identity, he resurfaced in the United States as "Marcus Ernest Garland", a charismatic and ambitious public servant.

Over the years, “Garland” methodically climbed the political ranks before ultimately securing a position within the New York Executive Department under Governor Mario Cuomo. From inside the machinery of state government, he quietly funneled sensitive intelligence back to Moscow, serving the USSR.

In 1991, shortly before the collapse of the USSR, his cover unraveled. Arrested and tried in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Aleksandrov pleaded not guilty—but the evidence was overwhelming. A unanimous jury found him guilty on all accounts of espionage against the United States of America.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Initially held at Shawangunk Correctional Facility, he spent eight years there before being transferred to Green Haven Correctional Facility, where he remains to this day—an aging relic of the Cold War, buried behind bars in a country he once betrayed.

Daren Elwood - Prison Physician

1747240546592.png

Darren grew up in a working-class family; being the son of a mechanic and a nurse. His mother's stories of the clinic - stitching up knife wounds, calming addicts, treating infections in people who hadn't seen a doctor in years - Inspired him in his later career path. He realized pretty early on that medicine wasn't just about prestige or the paycheck.

He went to study medicine - Which was mostly payed off by his parents- And specialized on internal medicine. Darrend did his residency at a local cpunty hospital where the ER was a constant revolving door of overdoses and chronic conditions. Luckily, he was able to adapt quite well; screaming patients, limited rescourses and how to work with stressful people in general.

After he finished his residency, Darren took a job at the Green Haven Correctional Facility, mostly just out of curiosity. Initially, he thought it was just temporary. But something kept him there.

He soon found out that Prison medicine was considerably worse compared to his prior experience. Additionally; The inmates didn't trust him, Administration saw him as a liabilty and the system in the States was built on punishment, not correction and even less care. But Darren was always kind of stubborn, and the conditions he had to work in didn't scare him off.

Over the years, Darren learned to listento the inmates, even to the unpleasant stories. In some cases, he even managed to build trust and even bonds to his 'problematic' patients. The Doctor even devoloped a reputation in the facility; though some of the the Officers saw him as too soft. Though Darren didn't care about that, he was there to keep people alive after all, no matter what.

After a relatively long time in, he is more than aware that the System is broken. But he stayed.

Role: Correctional Captain
Character name: Noah Kennedy Pearson
Character age: 34

Backstory:

It's the tail end of the 1980s; the days of political conservatism are in force. With it, the Reagan era has brought many changes. One such notable area of policy has been a bringing of the topic of immigration to the foreground. During 1980, the Mariel boatlift allowed approximately 100,000 Cubans to migrate to Florida; by 1987, around 4,000 of these individuals are incarcerated, be it for their lack of documentation, or other crimes committed.

November 10th, 1987, and the U.S. State Department announces the installment of a 1984 accord with Cuba, allowing for the repatriation (through deportation) of up to 2,500 Cuban nationals. The news seems positive, if only to provide some relief to the prison system, but the affects send shockwaves through the grey cells of penitentiaries across the states. Three days later, one such facility in Atlanta has fallen victim to the start of widespread rioting from Cubans over the announcement.

1747245937962.pngThese riots will last eleven days, and will end in the death of one inmate, and the injuries of over 250 persons involved, with parts of the facility burnt beyond recognition. Here's a photo for your reference. Those riots? They made me. They, they define me. That fear, that violence, that... anger. I feel it still, today, sometimes, when things get bad. Atlanta taught me that it's better to be tough and alive, then kind and dead, because when shit hits the fan, and it will because it does, it always does - you better be ready. Do what you gottta gotta do, because otherwise yer gonna be leaving the place in a casket and without a face.

Take Silverstein for instance - good ol' fucking Thomas Silverstein. Tommy to friends. He killed a guard, Merle Clutts, back in '83 in Illinois. During those riots, he was about, oh yeah, and I'm abso-fucken-lutely sure that if he'd been stopped by a guard, he woulda put a shank in him sooner than being told what to do. Those types are everywhere, always watching, always waiting to shiv you, to shank you, to beat you to death in the dirt. Why? Cus ain't got better shit to be doing, else they wouldn't be there with ya in the first place. Cus they think it's funny. Cus they think shit like us should be pulled down to their level. What abhorrent fuckers.

It's a good thing those Cubans decided to do what was best, surrendered on the 4th of December collectively. Communist voting system worked well for once, eh? My ma always said it was a good thing, not that I was worried of course, but else we'd'a hafta go on in and un-fuck the problem ourselves. My dad held a different view, said they were good for nothings, all of 'em should be led to the yard and pepper-sprayed in revenge. He was a fucken idiot and a half, he was - died in '89 from a heart attack. Loved him of course, and I still do, but he had a peanut for a brain sometimes. As though pepper-spraying them woulda fixed the issue at hand. Still, he was one of the senior correctional officers in the place at the time: maybe that's part of the reason he got stomped on when them riots occurred? Horrid fucken sight that was though, his nose bloodied as a bull and with tears in his eyes from the pure agony. I'm getting ahead of myself though, ain't I?

1747247497555.pngSpeaking of my old man, here he is. It's '81, maybe '82, in Walpole. I'm eleven or twelve at the time. That was over in Massachusetts, specifically Norfolk, for those of you not in the know. It was a max-security place, still is, and it's where he got hooked on the job, somehow. He was good in fairness, beyond his lunatic punitive ideas. Ain't gonna pretend I'm necessarily proud of some of the shit he and his friends are rumored to have done, but I also ain't gonna lie and say I don't understand. It was a different time and all. Prison was shit then. It's still shit now, but less shit. It got un-shitted, a little, I guess. Still plenty of nasty fuckers to hide away though.

Anyway, he is my legacy, I guess ya could say. I got into correctional work to follow the old man, and it's why in 1987 I was part of Atlanta's largest ever prison riot. It's why I almost died, too, in a morbid kinda way. I lived though. The guy who tried to knock me off early? He didn't. Most importantly, I learnt. Don't ever turn your back to 'em. Not for a second. Never.

I can't speak bad of my old man, nor my ma, though. They did me wonders. Got me in an independent school - probably thanks to my ma's job as a senior accountant in Harrison and Greene's, an old accounting firm that used to be real big. It's been liquidated now, and the remains became part of HSBC. She worked there right until the end, and made a pretty penny for me too. Money isn't the reason I do this job. I got a first in psychology for fuck sake. It's for one simple thing. Order.

I learnt well, too, from the degree, but more from Atlanta. It's why I'm here now, a captain for correctional facilities at only 34. My old man might be my legacy, but you ask me, I've outshone him already. Green Haven ain't a bad place to net a job at too. Some people say the Warden is odd. I say he's got vision, and most importantly, he's a patriot. He realizes the duality of a prison, as both good and bad. He gets what it means to serve, what it means to be part of something bigger. He understands. Vices follow him, I'm sure - fuck, none of us are perfect, eh? Lemme make it clear though, vision doesn't mean he's automatically amazing. Imma take my time to judge him, I ain't been here long after all, so no overall judgement yet.

What happens, happens. Sometimes bad shit goes down, and when it does, I'm gonna wade through the murk and stink and come out afterwards, better for it. So grit your teeth and bare with it, old man. I'll join you and ma up in heaven soon enough. First, I got a job to do though. It's been quiet around here a while, and it's gonna stay that way. We're past the new millennium, and who knows what 2001 will bring?

I'm enjoying the diary to be frank. Thought I'd hate it and spill my guts out but honestly, it ain't all bad. Quite nice to get the feels out every once in a while. I think I'm more honest when I'm spilling my secrets to myself. I suppose eventually someone might read this, but I don't care if they do or don't. It ain't a memoir or anything, not yet at least. Maybe I could make some money outta that though? Prisons are becoming a hot-button issue and all... anyway, until my next entry. It's time for my rotation onto shift. Here's hoping I don't find a pile of human feces waiting at my locker like I did over at Atlanta. I still dunno who did that. Probably Greg. Thanks to the stars he left the correctional service after the riots, what a piece of shit. It's been about a month now. Today is one of my first with this rota. Wonder what the officers on it are like. Hopefully not like Greg.

Do you understand that this role will come with quite a bit of responsibility? Are you able to do the previously mentioned tasks? Yes.

Backstory:

Ray Merrow enlisted in the U.S. Air Force the summer after high school. He did not have a five-year plan or any special dream of service. He just knew that if he stayed in his small town outside Buffalo, he would waste away like most of the people he grew up around. His mother worked long hours at the local diner and his father had disappeared before Ray turned ten. Trouble followed him through school. Fights, detentions, and a short temper that always seemed to get the better of him. The Army offered something he never had: structure.

To his own surprise, he adjusted well. He learned quickly, kept his head down, and began to thrive in the order of military life. As a Military Police officer, he served two tours overseas. His quiet presence and ability to read situations made him an effective leader under stress. He was good at de-escalation, good at holding a line without making it personal. The job taught him how to keep calm when everything around him was on fire.

After six years of service, Ray came home decorated and experienced, but unsure of where he fit anymore. He could not bring himself to reenlist. Something about the military’s politics and the things he had seen overseas had worn him down more than he let on. He chose to settle not far from home and applied to Green Haven Correctional Facility. The work was steady, and it kept him close to something familiar: the balance between control and chaos.

He started as a Corrections Officer at twenty-six and stood out early on. He did not bark orders or posture. He listened. He enforced the rules without humiliating people. When inmates lashed out, he tried to understand why before reacting. He was known for walking through the blocks with a calm expression and a low voice, settling tensions before they became incidents. Within a few years, both inmates and staff began to take notice.

Ray spent time in the education wing, encouraged inmates who wanted to study or reconnect with family, and never acted like it made him special. He believed respect was earned, and he tried to give it when he could. But not everyone saw it that way. Some of the older officers thought he was too soft, too idealistic. They said he was too friendly with the inmates. They rolled their eyes when he pushed for library funding or tried to clean up the visitation process.

Despite the skepticism, his track record spoke for itself. Ray was promoted to Lieutenant at thirty-five, making him one of the youngest in the prison’s history. Some said it was well deserved. Others muttered that he got lucky. Ray never argued either way. He kept showing up early. He kept doing the work.

But Ray has his flaws. He has trouble letting things go. When something goes wrong under his watch, he takes it personally, even when it is outside his control. He holds himself to impossible standards and struggles to ask for help when he needs it. His patience, which is often his greatest strength, can also turn into avoidance. There are times when he waits too long to act, hoping a situation will settle itself when it will not. He also has a temper he keeps buried deep, but it is still there. It comes out rarely, but when it does, it leaves a mark.

He keeps people at a distance. Staff respect him, but few know him well. He does not talk about his past unless he has to. He tells himself that being private keeps him professional, but part of him knows it is also fear — fear of being vulnerable, fear of being seen as weak.

Still, most days, he manages the balance. He keeps the prison running smoothly. He stays focused on what matters. He believes people can change, but he does not expect them to. He simply shows up, does his job, and holds the line.

For now, Green Haven is stable. The routine holds. But something in Ray knows that order, no matter how carefully built, is never permanent. And if something ever does crack through it, he only hopes he will be ready.

Backstory:
John William Thompson was born on July 15, 1974, in the gritty streets of the Bronx. Growing up in a neighborhood where survival often meant learning how to navigate the street hustle, Johnny's early years were marked by instability and hardship. His mother, Linda Thompson, worked long hours as a nurse’s aide, trying to keep food on the table for Johnny and his two younger brothers. His father, Michael Thompson, was a small-time criminal who spent most of Johnny’s formative years in and out of jail. When Johnny was just 10, his father was sentenced to a lengthy prison term for theft and assault, leaving the family without much of a male role model.

The Bronx in the late '80s and early '90s was plagued by gang violence, poverty, and a lack of opportunity. Johnny attended a public school that was underfunded and overcrowded. It wasn’t long before he realized that the rules of the world he lived in weren’t the same as those his mother tried to teach him at home.

Johnny was a natural athlete—fast, agile, and a quick thinker—which earned him some respect among his peers. At 14, Johnny was already hanging out with older kids, getting involved in petty theft and small-time drug dealing. He wasn't trying to hurt anyone—just trying to survive, just trying to get by. But as the years passed, his small-time hustles began to escalate.

By the time Johnny was 16, he had been arrested twice for shoplifting. His mother, devastated by his behavior, tried everything she could to steer him away from a life of crime—enrolling him in community programs, encouraging him to focus on his studies, and pleading with him to distance himself from the wrong crowd. But Johnny's rebellious streak ran deep. His father's absence and the harsh realities of the streets pushed him further into the arms of criminals who offered him the "easy way out."

At 18, Johnny was involved in a street fight that landed him in juvenile detention for a short stint. It wasn’t a serious offense, but it planted a seed of frustration in Johnny’s mind. He wanted respect. He wanted power. And most importantly, he wanted to escape the cycle of poverty and broken homes that had defined his life.
When Johnny was released at 19, he tried his best to stay out of trouble. He even worked a few legitimate jobs—construction, warehouse work—but nothing seemed to stick.

At 22, Johnny's father passed away from a heart attack while incarcerated. It was a crushing blow that deepened his feelings of abandonment and resentment. Johnny didn’t attend the funeral. Instead, he channeled his pain into a more dangerous lifestyle.

Johnny fell into the orbit of a group of local criminals. They weren’t big-time mobsters, but they were involved in a series of small robberies and drug deals. He started hanging out with a pair of men—Kevin "Slick" Carter and Damien "Bubba" Jackson—who were involved in armed robberies. They had been planning a heist for months, and Johnny, seeing an opportunity to prove himself, was brought in on the job.

It was supposed to be over in minutes. But everything went wrong.

As they stormed into the store, things spiraled out of control when an off-duty police officer walked in. They recognized the situation immediately and tried to draw their weapon. A struggle ensued. In the chaos, Kevin pulled out a gun, firing a shot that grazed the Officer's leg. Johnny’s heart raced, and everything around him seemed to move in slow motion.
What followed was a high-speed chase through the streets of Brooklyn. Johnny and his accomplices drove recklessly, narrowly missing pedestrians, swerving through alleyways, and blowing through red lights.
Finally, the car was cornered by officers near the Williamsburg Bridge. Kevin was shot during the arrest, and Damien was quickly apprehended. Johnny, heart pounding, surrendered without a fight. He knew the game was over.

Johnny Thompson was sentenced to 15 years at Green Haven Correctional Facility. The months that followed his conviction were filled with regret and self-reflection. In prison, Johnny spent much of his time alone, away from the dangerous influence of gang members and violent inmates. His initial bitterness toward the world and the justice system softened as he came to terms with the choices he’d made.

Now only one year after his incarceration, Johnny tries his best to stay low and out of trouble. Hoping and praying that he could get a second shot at life outside, and to see his mom and brothers again without the bullet proof glass seperating them.

Right! So far people have applied for the following roles:

(Keep in mind, I have not reviewed any of the applications yet, I just wanted to show everyone what the stats are so far.)

On the Prison staff side, 6 out of 12 people have applied.

1 Person has applied to play as the Warden.

1 Person has applied to play as the Correctional Officer Captain.

1 Person has applied to play as one of the Correctional Lieutenants.

1 Person has applied to play a standard Correctional officer.
2 People have applied to play as Prison Doctors.

On the prison inmates' side, 3 out of 12 people have applied.

2 People have applied to play as standard prisoners.

0 People have applied to play as kitchen staff.

1 Person has applied to play as a high-security inmate.

Currently, we need more prison inmates.

It might not seem like it, but prison inmates have more room for character development than the other roles do.

You might start out as a flawed or bad person, but you don't have to remain that way. Flaws are excellent for creating great characters.

If you have an idea for a prison inmate character or if you'd like to do something special with the character, please contact me or apply here!

Role: Prison Inmate - Kitchen Staff
Character name: Serval Wesson
Character age: 35 Years old
Backstory: Born in February 8th 1966 in Kentucky, Richmond to a family of a restaurant owners. Serval has been a rather "shady" person since his early days (16-24), despite his quite successful and promising cooking skills, and slight career at both his Parents' business, and a restaurant named "Kentucky Keeps", as a Cook. However, his real notoriety came from his constant thievery, both petty theft and more serious type, which caused numerous issues to himself and his parents. Eventually, at 24~ years old, and being thrown out of his home, Serval had to seek out a new place to settle in, despite the watchful-eye of the authorities.

After a while (at around 27), Serval moved into NYC, where his cooking career provided him with both a stable job, and enough cash to last him until his eventual finish or Restaurant's shutdown... But unfortunately, his dark-side began to slowly show itself once more. At the age of 35, while being known as a respected and skilled Cook around, his urges took the better off him, causing him to steal a Aston Martin Vanquish from [REDACTED FOR PRIVACY'S SAKE], at the day of 16th March, 2001. Unable to appeal, lacking a high-end attourney, unfortunately, with a sentence of 10 years without parole, Serval landed at Green Haven CF where, with his skills, he became the gastronomic master for Prisoners, their Cook... But how much of a career would that be, it shall be seen.

Role-specific question(s) (if applicable):

2 - Did they plead guilty or not guilty during their trial? (Essentially, did they lie about having committed a crime, or did they admit what they did?) - They did not lie about committing the crime, but they tried to get out of it.

3 - (Optional) Do they have any regrets about what they did? - A little bit, or rather, they do now in hindsight, realising both screwing themselves, and the victim. That being said, he isn't all full with guilt.

4 - (Optional) How long are they in jail for? - 10 years with no parole

5 - (Optional) How much longer is their sentence? - It isn't, it is 10 years like said above.

Role:
Correctional Liutenant

Additional Tasks/Roles:

Surveillance Monitor, I.T, Tower Watchgaurd, Schedule Maker.

OOC Role:
Backend Assisting GM.

Character name:
Anderson D. Rosevelt.

Character age:
27

Do you understand that this role will come with quite a bit of responsibility? Are you able to do the previously mentioned tasks?:
I do.

Backstory:1747400419618.png
Anderson D. Rosevelt came home from the United States Marine Corps in late 1999, after eight years of service that took him across the globe. He wasn’t one for grand speeches or medals — though he had a few tucked away — but his service as a marksman in a Force Recon unit earned him deep respect from the Marines who served beside him. In the harsh heat of Kuwait during Desert Storm, or on silent recon ops off the Horn of Africa, Rosevelt earned his reputation as a quiet professional — eyes always locked in, trigger never pulled without purpose.
But even back then, Rosevelt had a different edge. While other guys in his unit blew off steam with cards or weightlifting, he’d be hunched over a field laptop, learning the guts of encrypted radio systems or modifying targeting optics. He taught himself the basics of computer systems by digging through old manuals and scavenged field tech. The Corps might’ve trained him to shoot, but he trained himself to think like a tech.

1747400569278.png

When his enlistment ended, Rosevelt didn’t chase glory. He came home to New York and found something else that spoke to his sense of structure and duty: corrections. The state was expanding its prison system in the late ‘90s, and New Haven Facility had just opened a new surveillance wing — mostly black-and-white monitors, analog camera feeds, and a lot of paperwork. Not glamorous, but to Rosevelt, it felt like a mission: one man, dozens of screens, hundreds of lives behind bars, and the constant tension of what could go wrong.

He quickly became more than just another CO watching monitors. Rosevelt knew how to spot behavior shifts, how to read posture and body language from grainy hallway footage. He tracked inmate movement patterns on paper logs, predicted fights, and once flagged a suspicious series of laundry cart exchanges that turned out to be the start of a drug operation -- Albeit small.

He also began tinkering with the surveillance equipment off-hours — replacing failing cables, calibrating camera angles, and even suggesting changes to improve blind spot coverage. The other officers didn’t understand most of what he was doing, but they trusted him. Word was: if Rosevelt saw it, it got handled.

Role: Correctional Officer
Character name: Michael Rugger
Character age: 29

Backstory:

" Born in wilmington, delaware, 1972. Looking at the records, he looks like a ordinary fellow... went to school in philadelphia... graduated with good grades... hmmm... ah! Here, this document states that his dad was killed in a shooting with a gang member, Michael was just 16 at the time, his dad was a officer in the philadelphia PD. Maybe thats what fuelled him to get a career in this area."

Michael Rugger was born in wilmington and lived a overral normal life. Graduated just fine and was a more reserved kid during his school times. When he was 16, his life turned upside-down when his father, a police officer, was killed in a shootout, this completely de-stabilized his life. With no dad, his mother struggling to even pay the rent, he swore to himself that he would make his father proud by getting a job in the area of law enforcement. After that, he tried to become a police officer, but because of a bunch of different reason he decided to go with something more easy. He managed to get hired as a correctional officer, which enabled him to finally get out of the poverty state he was in before, making his mother extremely proud. He worked in the same role ever since, never really bothering to get a promotion since he liked the job and it was stable enough for him.

Do you understand that this role will come with quite a bit of responsibility? Are you able to do the previously mentioned tasks?
I do.

Sorry if the application looks a bit janky, this is my first application for a event.

The Feds decided to try and squeeze him to rat on the family. With this being his second drug offense as well as possession of a firearm by a felon, he was facing 20 years. Anthony kept to his secrecy and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. He did 10 years at USP Atlanta before being transferred to Greenhaven after a federal mandate required inmates to be housed closer to their hometowns.

The drug and firearm offense netted him enough points to be placed in the maximum-security system. While in Atlanta he typically worked in the kitchen with other mafia members and associates. His connections and the fact he never ratted allowed him to be reasonably taken care of in Atlanta. Upon his transfer to Greenhaven, he sought to work in the kitchen again. It was easy to smuggle food and make a side hustle to earn extra commissary.
