Through me is the way into the suffering city,
Through me is the way to eternal pain,
Through me is the way that runs among the lost.

The denizens of City 24, watching their friends and colleagues suffer from the consequences of Ultris, are desperate for answers about this unknown and invisible parasite which threatens to upend life as they know it. The enigmatic Dr. Von Weber and Dr. Andreeva have gone to great lengths to prevent anything from getting out to the public, yet in all their efforts they have made one mistake: they never expected that those within the Combine apparatus would so greatly defy the wishes of their employers.

With this in mind, our intrepid adventurers, desperate for answers, interlope upon their greatest adversary's own backyard. They have no way of knowing what will await them in this incredibly dangerous and hostile place.

My maker was divine authority,
The highest wisdom, and the primal love,
Before me nothing but eternal things were made,
And I endure eternally,

Abandon every hope, all who enter here.

This is a feedback thread for those who attended the event. It's not a feedback for the grander Ultris narrative, there is a thread about that already.

For those of you posting feedback, please avoid posting too many details as I wish to keep as many things private and IC as possible.

The visuals were top-notch, the confusing nature kept me guessing and the overall atmosphere was brilliant. I didn't enjoy how abrupt the ending was, but I believe that was 'out of hands', so I can forgive it. Stellar expo.

What did you like about this expo?

The visual effects were insane throughout the event.

There was no combat, there were synths, but they were very distant from the players.

There were minimal scripts (at the very most, we gave people trenchcoats and a bit of food, but thats it). Scripts were not the focus of the event, uncovering information was.

I do have a very big bias here, but I really like the story. I'm loving seeing all the research the CPRD did over willards history finally

What did you not like about this expo?

It did end a bit abruptly, as Eviction said, but I think this was for the best, there wasn't much else for the players to do.

I'm also really upset that the players didn't find Ron Goodfellas's cryogenically preserved corpse. That was meant to be a huge reveal but they just walked past it.

Do you have any suggestions for what should happen next?

I think this is how we should run future Ultris-related expos. Focus them on exploring places and gathering information instead of combat or script gathering.

none of the units know him, too fresh i think to remember him.

What did you like about this expo?

As others have been saying, the visual effects used on this expedition were amazing! It really added a sense of urgency and horror that Ultris should be having.

It was largely focused on roleplay rather than shooting and/or scripts which was refreshing.

The chance to become deeper entagled in Ultris is also fantastic, especially on my civil protection character rather than Willow.

What did you not like about this expo?

The abrupt end was sadly very climatic, it did leave a couple of questions that were left unanswered honestly but Ultris is a mystery so it makes sense.

It didn't feel like an actual prison? With only the two synths there was no 'danger' factor in that part, especially when I only saw them once. The omicisent eye did help with this though. I just wished it felt more like a prison.

Do you have any suggestions for what should happen next?

As Zero said, this has definetly set a pre-cedent for how other Ultris expeditions should be ran. I would just like to see some more world-building with guards etc. and consistent story telling throughout the event <3

What did you like about this expo?
The start was great while the event overall was good but the start was for me at least the best part of the event. Interestingly role played characters and their interactions were golden. While they said a lot, they also said enough if that makes sense!

The visual experience was neat and well put together considering who made it :angrycop:

What did you not like about this expo?
I would not say I disliked something though as some have pointed out already, the map given for what was done was a bit too large but well fleshed out nonetheless. I know there was more meant to happen thus the map but alas!

Do you have any suggestions for what should happen next?
No clue where this will be going but I enjoyed participating, enjoyed the company and look forward to the next Event :)
