Right now Skills roll are completely unbalanced against attributes rolls.

Attribute Rolls Formula - D20 + Attribute (max of 10) = Roll (max possible roll is 30)

Skill Rolls Formula - D100 + Skill Level (Max of 50) = Roll (max possible roll is 150)

Using the current skill roll formula a skill roll will almost always win against an attribute roll, because of this imbalance skills roll are all most never used, this leads to skills being basically have very little impact on RP

A solution to this is changing the skill rolls formula to be - D20 + Skill Level/5 (max bonus of 10) = Roll (Max roll is 30)
or
D20 + Skill Level/2 (max bonus of 25) = Roll (Max roll is 45), This formula is if you want skills to be more important that attributes when rolling

This rebalance of the skill rolls will allow them to be used against attributes
and for skills to have an impact on RP

Simple: Don't use skill rolls against attribute roles.
Skill rolls are intended for individual actions like crafting something (crafting roll), healing someone (healing roll), to see if you hit your shot maybe to an NPC, or how accurate you were with your shot once hit (guns roll), etc.

Attribute rolls are the only ones that should be used in combat or against other attribute rolls. Skill rolls aren't used for that.

If some did want to use them its better to just have it be balanced in the first place

Skill and Attribute rolls are not meant to be used against one another. They can be used in conjunction with each other but were never designed to go toe to toe. If someone rolls skill, you roll skill too. If they roll Attribute, you roll attribute and vice versa for them as well. But in some scenarios both can be used... it can get very confusing and don't really have the energy to explain it now, but saw an example the other day which may I will be bothered to write... at some point.

For now this will go into ze denied pile.
