Long has out kind lived in subjugation to humanity, from the usage as disposable postman to forced egg factories to feed their breakfasts.
Held up in cages for sport or as colorful decoration, hunting targets to be shot at for a challenge.
Abused as their sign of peace.
This injustice ends today!
No more will Bird-kind sit by idly as their brothers and sisters are made the laughing stock of society, squashed like vermin for merely existing.
We will not serve as target practice to trigger happy "Civil" "Protection" Officers any longer.
The Birds of Geneva will not sit by idly, waiting for their turn to be brought to the slaughterhouse or abused for someone's gain or sick perverted sense of entertainment.
We will not end up like another species subjugated under the jackboot of the Combine, like those weak Humans and Vortigaunt who grovel for scraps.
Manifesto
i. The recognition of ALL Avians as living beings, protected under the law as individuals. Free from the dangers of murder and slavery.
ii. Registry in the Combine Database with a starting score of 100 SC, alongside ample opportunity for every Bird to further their status within society.
iii. An accompanying Civil Identity Card, which provides the respective Avian with the right to Rations, a home and fair chances to conduct business.
iv. Free access to education and healthcare.
v. The right to assembly and representation within the Combine Civil Administration. With a delegate elected by and for all Avians in C24, granted direct access to the City Administrator.
vi. The right to work for a fair and just compensation of our labor.
vii. Avian bathrooms where Birds of all kinds can take care of their sanitary needs. A civilized species shouldn't be forced to shit in the streets!
We will not rest before our demands are met.
We will desecrate your statues, attack your people without mercy.
You will recognize us as your equal.
No matter if you rip out our feathers, break our beaks or twist our necks.
We will never give up. We will never submit to servitude again.
