Genesis
After the Seven Hour War, the British Isles was left in ruins. What was worse however, was the tyrant. Usurping power in the time of need, only to become a puppet to the new masters that arrived on earth. Despite the end of the world it seemed like Delmond Blake, former Prime Minister - would now rule as a viceroy, on behalf of the foreign invaders. Dissatisfaction amongst the people stirred further. An anti-blakeist underground group known as -"The Londoners"- became ever-more popular due to their outspoken cryptic criticism against Blake's administration. Britain would not be spared from neither the Combine nor "Administrator Delmond Blake, former Prime Minister ''. The atrocities and oppression that loomed during his reign would sow the seeds the future.
Faced with an ever-growing refugee crisis, the massive amounts of people clogging City 2 - former London, become overbearing for the civil administration... but it allowed something else to fester. It was within this timeline that Humanity's Most Loyal Resistance was formed between a coalition of Anti-Blakeist parties, with "The Londoners' ' having most influence, with the HMLR representing the militant arm of the movement's goal. In its earlier stages, it could be considered a vanguard party - as the intellectual circle within The Londoners represented the leadership, whilst most of the foot-men were made out of refugees swarming the city. Whilst the leadership consisted of British intellectuals, the majority were a mix of re-located citizens from the past and refugees from across the British Isles.
As the movement expanded, refugees and disgruntled citizenry joined up the ranks of this swelling “grassroot” army. It was at this point that something happened. The movement became effectively hijacked by members of the ex-forces of the British Army and Special Air Services, with ties to the underground Ministry of Defence. With the movement in the hands of de facto governmental functions, Humanity’s Most Loyal Resistance movement became effectively a “Home Army” under the direction of these military remnants.
Humanity’s Most Loyal Resistance was suddenly a force to be reckoned with, a large surplus of manpower and efficient ex-soldiers leading them. It was clear that the goal was to cast down Blake - but in order to do so, a plan was formulated. By planting members of the movement within cities of the continent, these sleeper cells would effectively fester growth of discontent. Then rally and organize local movements into an effective fighting force. By fostering other movements in the continent, it would take the inevitable pressure off of London. The revolt in London would spark early 2017, resulting in the destruction of the city, presumed death of Delmond Blake and the city's Nexus... with enormous casualties. Nothing has been heard on the wave lengths since.
In Geneva... one of the sleeper cells planted before the uprising desperate tries to recieve signals from across the channel and new directives from Central..
