Mirroring the other post that's been slammed on the forums, We need a break.

Every time something happens, the rebels could be armed with a tooth-pick and-nail, and OTA seem to respond and wipe out the entire faction every time.

Loyalists,
Rebels,
And every faccet of the server experience a higher degree of interaction, roleplay, and immersion then the in the short 15-30 minutes OTA usually wipe out all RP in the face of their path. If cops were designed to oppress RP as opposed to create Oppressive RP, They're doing their job, but OTA Is excelling at it.

I don't know how many other people feel this way, but it no longer feels like a back and fourth; or even really motivated by roleplay, it's just one massive force looking to gain a new victory, and then the server pop goes down, It's half life so there will never be a winning side, but it's stupid to play a server like it's one side versus the other, when at the end of the day we're all trying to make a story.

The liberators are actively ruining roleplay in my perspective. They quite literally brag in the combine discord that they're better than everyone else, say people have skill issues on forums, threaten me with warns for planning to use ambush tactics, attack only when they have a hundred percent chance of winning, and complain when they do lose.

Isn't it ironic that the Liberators show up to an event hosted by a Liberator-GM and then proceed to S2K?

Isn't it ironic that 3-4 days into I24 starting, the Liberators killed about 12 cops and caused a JW?

Isn't it ironic that the overwatch faction lead, joined the liberators, and mass RDM'd 15 people, and got banned for 30 days?

This isn't a fun cycle, but they want to perpetuate it. The GM team tries to appease people that don't even want to passive roleplay anymore.

It comes from your end, too. I've yet to see a single rebel RPer disavow the travesty that occurred last weekend. If you want to thread the needle against CvR, it requires good faith and introspection from you, as well.

To justify the utter horrid CvR slopfest and rulebreaks that occurred last week, then turn around and say you want CvR to be gone after you fall victim to it, makes it look like you're exploiting this sentiment for your own ends.

Both sides are terrible. And both sides need to admit this before any progress can be made.

i'll repeat myself: it's very concerning that not only are staff allowing / condoning this kind of stuff, but even directly participating. if people who boil down willard cvr 2sk and expos are staff, then why should we bother with roleplaying properly?

This sounds like a bunch of mad rebel RPers who get bodied in S2K are just complaining when they lose. Maybe there should be S2K tests to just get into the Resistance? Liberators? I heard they deployed vorts today and still lost. Literally nothing but a skill issue. Maybe some standards in the Resistance as a whole would just fix this issue instead of changing the entire server to let you win.




Curbalas is the main proponent of the endless CvR slop. Someone who fails to have any accountability on his side, and time and time again has deflected any criticism toward himself and his faction.

The Liberators, as a faction, must disband or be led by someone open to actually doing roleplay rather than stifling it. Continued refusal to compromise or lower the temperature is the result of the past few weeks. Immense recklessness shown for someone who was once a faction manager and himself currently leads the most armed and well-equipped group, possibly the biggest in the rebel scene. Yes, you do have a responsibility for the people below you, and you have blatantly failed to hold anyone accountable or set any standards.

While the Combine side has its own faults, among which is miscommunication, a lack of knowledge on their own rules, and dual loyalties, as we saw with Bravo.

The current situation seems to be festering from one person, one faction and one corner of the rebel scene. Continued refusal to do anything is at your own peril.

In said recklessness, he has stifled his own scene. Do you think rebels find it fun to have to deal with constant sweeps that your group causes? Or when they're NLR'd and lose all their loot due to you and your groups own unsatiated thirst for loot and shotcops?

This sucks.

I am beyond tired of this slop being the focal point of the entire server, as are most people. Rebels are tired. Citizens are tired. Civil protection is tired. I say that with confidence.

I genuinely believe if OTA, OSA and Liberators were all snapped from the servers existence everyone would have a better time at this point. This S2K OOC grudge match is poisoning the entire well.

This has to stop. Cause once these appeals go through, we're onto next week's drama slop. It's exhausting. I get staff have utterly cooked the rebel scene and server balance, but I'm tired of the server having to pay for it.

Maybe it would all be better if my resolution was accepted to bring CvR slop to an end. But it wasn't. I personally proposed that we remove rifles and pulse rifles from main in exchange of removing OTA/OSA, but it was denied.

I just had to adapt to the server's gameplay setting. We are all tired of the OOC hatred OTA players have and how they take the hate to an IC point of view :/
