GM's only spawn in shit that doesn't give meat

Just stop it. If you spawn in tons of zombies or antlions, at least make it so that 50% of them give out meat. There should be a reward for killing them

Nowadays, meat is pretty much only used to eat, since it gives a shitty amount of chips to sell it. If you're STILL concerned about balance, then make it so that meat can't be sold. But give out food for killing zombies or antlions...

Or...Call a GM to give you meat for RPing some butchering

the spawning of npcs that cannot be butchered into meat isnt a conscious balance decision on the part of gms to restrict you from being able to butcher, its usually just because they want to spawn in something that is a more significant threat than the default antlions that deal 5 damage a pop or normal headcrab zombies; and those are the only npcs that can be butchered reliably.

Im sorry if you dont feel up to handle the wait times, but gms arent required to immediately tend to tickets, oftentimes theyre in the middle of IC situations that would break roleplay if they just poofed, and othertimes they just don't feel like they can handle your request ( or they're too tired, or a hundred other potential reasons. ) If we started threatening gms to respond to every ticket within a certain timeframe it would be massively demoralising.

Perhaps the best way to fix this is through a developer suggestion, allowing more dangerous npcs to be butchered alongside the ones we currently have set up. There isn't much to be done about this from a non-development side save for GMs toning back the threat of their spawns significantly which usually isn't an option, especially if they're trying to convey the danger of particular routes/areas

While you are right, this isn't what I was complaining about in this thread. Perhaps you misunderstood me.
What I complain about is that GM's usually spawn in creatures that can not be butchered, like spawning the specific antlions that do not drop meat, or spawning headcrabs instead of zombies, which can not be butchered.

i do think there's some miscommunication there, i apologise - What I'm trying to say is that the creatures that cannot be butchered are spawned because of their threat to the player. We could have a developer adjust things so that even the more threatening npcs can be butchered as corpses, but that would fall under a development suggestion rather than a faction/non-dev suggestion

Next time I cross a street I will feel rewarded for not having died because apparently, the expected result was to die.
You're engaging in combat of your own free will, you don't run away like a normal person, you instead stop and decide to fight. You can't be expected to be rewarded for everything you fight or do on the server, that's one way to fuck the rebel economy, one that's already pretty fucked. Your comparison is also terrible, how can you compare crossing the street to fighting antlions?

Here's a tip, maybe don't see every script you see as currency, and instead take it as it is. You even said in this forum post:
since it gives a shitty amount of chips to sell it. If you're STILL concerned about balance, then make it so that meat can't be sold.
What even is the suggestion to begin with, give you more scripts, is that what you want, more scripts?

fuck the rebel economy
Fuck the rebel economy by letting them eat? Again, as I specified, if you're concerned about the economy, then make it so that they can't sell meat. If you're so willing to make rebels fight with something, then be willing to reward them if they're successful too.

No? As I said, meat should be used to be eaten, and not to be sold

I don't even know where you're trying to get with this.

What I was explaining is that you can not fucking call letting the player live a reward. If anything, the opposite would be a punishment, and not the other way around. That's like if a murderer said that they're doing you a favor by not killing you. It's absurd.

Again, you can't be expected to be rewarded for everything you do, including fighting antlions. This also goes for eating, you can't expect to get everything for free. I mean, there's a smuggler who sells near infinite amounts of ingredients so I'm not sure why you're solely relying on antlions to eat, or making a thread complaining about it.

There's other avenues to find food as a rebel. Instead of exploring these avenues and finding other ways to gather food you instead jumped to the forums and call out GM's for not giving you enough scripts.

This post isn't even constructive, it seems entitled than anything. "Just stop it" That's how you started the post, nothing screams entitlement like demanding GM's for something. Give them a break, is this issue even big enough to be brought to the forums over, do you really feel inconvenienced that much that you we're required to make a forums thread?

You are right. And fighting antlions isn't free.

I don't know why you think this is specifically my case, as I haven't played a rebel in a week. This is a suggestion, not a complaint. You are taking it personally, and I don't really understand why. You seem to feel some bias against rebels that I can't really understand, or feel like I'm specifically asking GM's to "give me scripts". I do not need food on my rebel. If I needed it I could buy it without any trouble. The only reason I made this post was because I felt like GM's feel a certain obligation to not "break the economy" and that's why they don't spawn in creatures that give out meat. You're turning this into something toxic when it wasn't supposed to be, as it was simply a suggestion, and I ask you to stop.

No bias here buddy, your suggestion is just stupid and entitled.

Lol

No.

Seriously though, let me explain why. NPCs serve to increase the threat level of a given area based on current events, player actions, etc. As it stands currently, the highest threat levels currently are the outlands, beaches, a portion of the sewer, and 50th Avenue. Here's the issue. We can't just spawn regular zombie NPCs on geared rebels, it would prove no challenge. We also can't spawn gonomes on unarmed/lightly armored rebels. As Freudeka explained earlier, this is not our concern, it's for the developers. If you do want to harvest something that you can't normally harvest, make a ticket. While we are not entirely obliged to take the ticket, someone may or may not take it. It will not hurt you if it isn't taken, you can get food through many alternatives. I know it's entirely a non-issue when it comes to the rebel player base anyways, it's not a bleeding issue that needs to be solved at this moment.

You do not need a reward for everything you kill. Some things exist to repel, punish, obstacles, or act as general ambiance based on circumstances.

Really entitled.. Like why are rebels so script hungry? RebelRP doesn't rely on scripts, at all! Just RP it, dude..
while this suggestion isnt good, saying that items, i will never call them scripts as we are playing a video game, are not a integral part of rebelrp, is just dumb, the entire progression system is based on them. There is nothing wrong with this, items are part of the game, it is ok to want to get more, so you can do more stuff.
